We had multiple power surges in our town and lost a lot of electrical things. I just discovered my skylight receiver doesn't work. Is it usually just the receiver that needs replacing or the motor?

Is this an installation from existing manual skylight motor to electrical auto motor? Or a just a replacement electrical motor ?

Was the chain longer than you needed? In case yes, what happens when you open it? Does it stop?

When fully opened or closed, motor stops automatically.
