I love that they can be stacked, hung on a wall and made in a number of patterns and sizes. Your humor always makes the videos better too ☺️
Great shelves. Thanks for sharing the video.
Nice job and a great video thanks Matt🍺👍
Thank you Brian
I love hexagon shelves for some reason. They just look cool. I made a large one out of scaffold boards and use it as a wine rack, and also made a small one that holds a stormtrooper simulating the Death Star detention block corridor.
Cool shelves. Like the paint on the outside but wood inside
Thank you very much
I think they look great. The brush on wax varnish looks interesting. haven't seen it before.
Gidday Matt. Many thanks for the latest video featuring the hexagonal shelves. I appreciated the entertaining side comments as well as the woodworking processes. Cheers ! Don.
It is a very creative and interesting design.
Thank you
Simple and creative, love the idea , bet you feel flushed with success on this. 🤣
Haha. Very good
Very neat project mate 👍
Thank you very much
Cool project Matt, looks great. How about a matching loo roll holder beside the pan so you don't have to reach behind you for the paper?
Yes I do need to do that
I love that you've started including the posing for the hero thumbnails at the end. Another job done well to tick off Matt!
Thank you
Brilliant, Matt! Really beautiful work! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you
Good stuff that TGel
Yes it is
Sometimes the easier the project the more functionality it has. As you said, Matt - yes a shelf could have worked as well but you're a maker!! A maker doesn't throw 2 lengths of boards up, screw it to a wall and call it a day! Not even floating shelves go up that way. So it's expected to have something like this by a maker! Great job & project 👏 👊
Great idea, Matt.
Thank you Ken
Oh my I love the beginning shot location!
Haha thank you
looks really nice.
Thank you
Brilliant project and well done.
Thank you
Nice one, Matt! Simple project but great result!
Thank you
Nice one Matt! It’s great what you can do with a bit of old ply isn’t it 🤙🏻
Thank you very much. Always great to use scraps up
Nice job!
Thank you
The satisfaction from making something you need for the house is awesome. Nice little project there mate. Still jealous of your bachelor pad.
Thank you Pete
@@Badgerworkshop pleasure.
I was just about ready to make a set of these shelves. Great minds think alike I guess.
Good luck with yours
Better than a boring old straight shelf. Sculptural even :)
Thanks Mike
👍👍👍
Matt, Wonderful project mate. Oy !! It is a good way to avoid some anxious and probably awkward moments ! What would you do without the humble roll of nice soft paper to hand ? Nice job mate !!
Thank you Brian
Matt, do you ever have a problem with your Tacwise gun jamming? I get two/three nails in, then it'll only push next one in part way, and then jams completely. Have had it too long to return it, just wondered if it was something I was doing wrong or whether it's a duff machine. Have only been pinning t&g boards to softwood battens... not like it's hard work for it.
I had one years ago that I had lots of problems with but this one seems fine.
@@Badgerworkshop Ah ok, cheers. Price has shot up so will have to put up with it.
What was the quality of the ply like? 😁 These look great! Nice project 👍
Sorry I should have mentioned that in the video.
I thought maybe you were going to put it the window space. Regardless, very nice work!
Totally love the idea.
This is screaming for some back lighting LED strip though.
Great little project, keep up the good work.
Nice project. May I ask "is it necessary to wear ear defenders in your bathroom?"
Headphones
It's mandatory in some countries.
Depends on the last meal you consumed. I'll get me coat
Which table saw was used during this build?
Bosch 18v
Appreciate, contemplating buying one. Can you tell me if the slots are standard size for rockler type jigs?
Yes they are. I did a video about the saw last week
@@Badgerworkshop Yep, was a great video and the only query I had was the t slots :)
Nice project Matt, even with what looks like, poor quality ply 😁.
The Polyvine varnish is a massively underrated product in my opinion. Many varieties gives a great finish
That’s the first time I have used it
Re the two hexagons with shelves - while it would have been more work, wouldn't the end result have been more useful if the shelves had been centered on the hexagon rather than offset to the bottom?
And while you didn't mention it, I presume you had carefully planned the design so that the height of the shelves would accommodate a roll of toilet tissue. Or at least that's your story and your sticking with it!
I don’t really see how it would be more useful
Mirror plates
Lol
So it was you who bought all the toilet roll from Aldi the other day!
Haha sorry
but how many hexagons could be made with all those pieces, i counted 7 pieces that could have been better used.
I don’t understand
@@Badgerworkshop I think he (assumed) means the small stack of overs seen at 3:48, but who knows.
I think that looks great, Matt.
@@Badgerworkshop many pieces are double = 3 horizontals and 4 side pieces could have been used to make more,
Maybe its bcuz he paid for the wood? It's his time you're using in your shop? Or maybe because he's a concerned mate with nothing else to do than troll.... either way.... as they say, it's non of his business on how YOU or ANYONE chooses to use their wood, spend their money or waste their wood from his point of view.... keep on making Matt! Great job.
