Yes its scripted and very theatrical but thats the nature of the Tbirds. Not only are they pilots trained for warfare but showmen also. I love it. They couldnt do any of it without the ground crew lets not forget them them who also add to the theater.
Very cool! I've been to ~5 airshows that featured the T-Birds, but I've never seen this before. Shows at Hill & Andrews AFB were always *_huge_* & you had to be there at 0-dark thirty to snag a spot like this on the flight line. Which also meant that you had to skip all the static displays, or rush around after the main event.

These guys, and the US Navy blue angels are fantastic. The RAF Red Arrows are also very good. The rest are either to risky or boring.

Blue angels' march to aircraft is WAY more impressive... Blue Angels don't use G suits, Blue Angels are the only team to fly 18 inches wing to wing to canopy, blue angels are the only team to do a dirt, diamond loop... blue Angels are Just way better.. PERIOD!
It could be claimed that naval aviators are more talented as well. Huge respect to both, but go navy all day.

Red are nice but not quire the Blue's;) Blue angels' march to aircraft is WAY more impressive... Blue Angels don't use G suits, Blue Angels are the only team to fly 18 inches wing to wing to canopy, blue angels are the only team to do a dirty diamond loop... Blue Angels use High Performance Multi role-strike aircraft (not trainers) .... blue Angels are Just way better.. PERIOD!
@@ILSRWY4 i think using trainers actually puts more attention to the skills of the pilots as opposed to the noise and power of a larger multi role aircraft (which i still love by the way). i just found the thunderbirds pretty underwhelming compared to other display teams like the tricolore, french guys and the reds. and for me i really like seeing displays with different coloured smoke!

As much as I like the Thunderbirds, this is way too scripted and unrealistic to be cool. Look at 7:12. What are they even doing?
Miniraise putting wheel chocks & ladders where they need to be for the return, then being dismissed.

Because let's be honest: it really has nothing to with this display, you don't even have to do anything to do with it, so stop trying to shine in the light of others and what you see here has actually nothing to do with the "incredible greatness" of your oh-so-great country but exclusively with those peoples' skill, love and passion for what they do...
So: "what are they even doing?"
It's the THUNDERBIRDS for crying out loud, what dou you think they're doing? Showing you how they actually prepare for combat every time?
They're a SHOW GROUP so they're putting up a SHOW for you, the most constantly-wanting-to-be-entertained people since the roman empire.
And what do YOU do?
Instead of AT LEAST appreciating the hard work and dedication of those men and women, let alone the TONS of tax-money they're LITERALLY burning up just, actually ONLY to put up a show for you so you can forget your miserable lives for 9 minutes and 45 seconds, you're nagging and badmouthing and just -again- being a pain in the ass.
Nobody ever said that you have to go all the way and praise people for something you don't like but if you don't have anything helpful or at least nice to say, please do everyone around you a favor and just shut the fuck up. There's already WAY too much annoying shit out there, we don't need any more from you on top of that...
No wonder you're being represented by a lying, cheating, betraying, delusional, clueless, incompetent, worked up and completely overrated individual who can't do anything right, not even pretending to be a great leader of a great nation who itself only pretends to be great ("...great AGAIN", so not so great before) and then, out of sheer envy, tries to ruin the reputation and recognition of all those who actually ARE great. David611950 the viper DOES pull more Gs than a hornet but the main reason is a G suit would interfere with the control stick located in between the pilots legs...the viper had a sidestick so they don’t have to worry about it
