Always felt bad for Neal Anderson. He came in after Walter Payton to a much weaker Bears team. He was a phenomenal runner and catcher, went to several pro bowls but never seemed to get the same respect and notoriety. Always seemed to be a great guy as well.
Chicago's running game in 1989 was one of the best in the league. Anderson was a pro bowler. Unfortunately, the bears defense looked really bad, and their quarterbacks were bellow average
@@cbod14 / The Bears were up 28-19 in the 4th, late in the 4th, and the Oilers scored two touchdowns at the end to win. Very unlike the Oilers. Then the Bears lost 2 of their next 3 games, one against Greenbay, "whom they never lost to," and they lost their hold on first place in the NFC central, for the first time since 1983 I believe.
@@cbod14 Also Ditka had a epic rant trashing his team after the game. Something along the lines of "I don't think we're capable of winning another football game this year. I don't remember being this down in 1982...when I KNEW WE COULDN'T PLAY FOOTBALL!"
Miss the Houston Oliers should never have moved out of Texas. I have no respect for NFL teams who move. I'm so glad my Dallas Cowboys have never moved out of Texas.
Enberg and Olson were great, but Bill Walsh was terrible. Bill keeps saying what a great coach Glanville is. He probably retracted that after the Oilers lost 2 of their last 3 games, plus the playoff game vs the Steelers. And of course Jerry got fired!🔥
58:12 beautiful throw. Great catch
2:09:50 - I remember that Warren Moon laser beam to Haywood Jeffires like it was yesterday.
perfect

He played for a rugburn offense that was very outdated with journeyman qbs.. Harbaugh was his best qb
Neal was my hero as a child.
Hey, at least I won a lot of championships with him in Tecmo Super Bowl - hahah
Neal Anderson was a good RB for the Bears. Chicago got older and underachieved with Ditka from '86-92.

Herschel Walker hype at its peak.
Oh yeah... This was the game that sent Ditka over the edge.
What happened? I forgot

Friggin Tomzcak
Do you Neil Anderson & Tomczak will make the Hall of Fame someday, despite they weren't on the '85 teams?
"Dont give a superstar to someone else."- says the guy who shopped Montana prior to the 83 draft.
