I will be uploading daily, this is video number 6.
The first thing I immediately noticed once I began playing in 3rd person is that my foot work was different, perhaps even drastically different and for the better at that. Both spacing and spatial awareness improved but what stuck out most was a more complete understanding of my weapons arc and how that combined with footwork to negate my opponents defenses. Thanks for the suggestion.
I remember thinking that I was just awful at the game (I still am, in all honesty), but it turns out that the awful default FOV on console for first-person mode was mostly to blame. I've noticed a huge improvement playing in third-person.
3rd person seems strong, but i don't want to give up the immersion of 1st person :(
And now, i feel like the players who don't care about it are getting an unfair advantage xp
Maybe we could get 1st person only servers ?

I died once to Highlander sword. So it’s extremely over powered and needs a nerf.

I used to get so many kills with it when it came out. Now I'm lucky if I get a hit in with it before I die
I once died in chivalry 2. Its a really bad game and should be deleted

Glad you'rre still making content, you are the only Chiv 2 creator I found and liked.
Server browser comes out on console next patch. Cross party comes out this summer. They fixed PC party and added a bunch of maps. Game is still very populated, you should give it ago imo.

To be quite honest, while it is nice the Zweihänder is present in Chivalry 2, it would've been nice to have a straight bladed one. There's something beautiful about our original version of the weapon.
As french, i can only appreciate our german friend who know what to do with metal, weapon, industry, automobile.

The maul has been a great way for me to get mechanically better. I started using it because I feel rewarded for outsmarting my enemies rather than just countering or riposting until I win. I've started getting better at kicks, feints, distancing, when to swing and when to defend. I can still improve, and I still need to so much as throw out a jab, but I'm still better than I was. Improving feels rewarding

@@Ziggylata I feel that😂 just started a week ago. Sometimes I do...decent, and other times I just get completely wrecked hahaha
The only thing that pisses me off is that it's slash will hit you from so far away, which makes it really hard to escape 5 dudes barreling down on you and still getting hit from another zip code when you dodge backwards from the horde.
Looking back on the hl sword it should still do 80-85 on a light over head imo the slash being 65 light and 85 heavy was a bit much but it's way slower and shorter then it use to be.
It's easily one of the better 1vX weapons which is why it feels so op 1v1 it's not anything special but its got large range high damage and can drag and accel really well
Highland special is faster then a normal swing but not worth it most of the time, also if you could try dragging overhead from the side left or right of ur opponent it kinda hit better, and the sword handle hits faster
The special is fun when you got two dudes on low health distracted and you just mow them down 😂
I actually think it’s special is pretty viable in 1 on 1 situations, bait an attack and time it so as soon as the miss their strike they get hit. It’s super op if u know how to use it. try it out
or you could just, throw a normal attack

I like using the Maul to just one shot Footmen and Knights with its special. It's a really satisfying weapon to use.
I feel the same about two handed hammer
as far as i understand, the "K/D" on weapons means "killed this amount with the weapon/ BEING KILLED BY THIS WEAPON THIS AMOUNT", thats why the k/d its so weird on weapons, but i guess it kinda helps you see what kills you the most, like "oh... im laking when fighting agais dune axe"
also, 100% possible to lvl up without killing, i lvled up a weapon mastery by blocking and hitting without killing
Yeah, I don't worry about KD. My main points when playing are having fun and helping with the objective as best I can.
I'm currently playing with the Greatsword and I love it. I'm working my way to the Highland Sword.

I just unlocked my Highland sword got my first mega kill with the Highland sword lol. I was ecstatic as hell!

My one gripe with the highland sword is the 420 degree swing arc! Not the special, just any swing attack. You can't position. Even being directly behind the person swing a highland sword means you're going to get hit. That's too BSy for me. Even just a 320-340 degree arc would be more reasonable.
... actually the great swords were used to cut down horses legs und spear walls. So a sword hefty enough to do both sounds quite brutal.

Is there more players on Chiv 2 or on Mordhau?
Chivalry 2 has more players simply by being cross platform across 5 systems and it being the only game of its kind on those consoles.
A good defense is a good offense
I would love to see some more vanguard stuff that looks different instead of just 5 different bucket helmet variations. Maybe something with a hood for the ambusher, I think all units should get like a "peasant" attire with the knight having like armor out of wood or pots n pans n stuff like that, I think that would be funny. Also can we please get a round shield for Agatha.
Those Kd #s are insane, maybe there was a period where it wasn’t counting your deaths fully?

Ive noticed, now that I am in melees more (i got the warbow).
The Highlander has this thing where the swing either hits you 2 seconds before the animation or 1 second after.
I cant tell if its the enemy ping or if the weapon is that busted... But frankly, i just grab the nearest chicken set it on fire and spam jabs till they die. Seems to work
i always have trouble blocking highlanders aswell, i main knight and i feel like that sword hit you even blocking, the range is a little weird when you are close and i think it hits you on the outer hitbox if you try to block aiming AT the sword (if you are in 1rst person, while blocking there is like a square that takes almost but not all the screen to effective block, so if they hit you on the sides or up and down they can hurt you even blocking). You have to aim at the SWING to block, and thats kinda true for all weapons but this one is particularly unforgiving to block half hearted
This guy lands overheads in 3rd person so easily. I got to level 50 in the beta and im 90 in game the cross hair off center to the right always makes me miss my 3rd person overhead.
I try to use the Highland Sword, but it feels like the sort of weapon that is extremely vulnerable to counter-play and everyone seems to know how to play against it now. I never get to do a big counter swing into a crowd, crowds either back away from me or each player in the crowd perfectly hits me with a combo of fast attacks, jabs, and kicks to completely trash me. Accels don't help, no one falls for drags or feints, people often just run to their team when their stamina gets low. It feels like a defensive, space control sort of weapon like the spear, which I think is why I do so poorly when I'm playing aggressively with it.
That's the thing, you have to be defensive with it, it's a great choke hold defense weapon. And learning to gank properly is key. I push forward but then take a hard left or right into an enemies flank usually.
I wish i played against people that don't block
I think the kills also include your takedowns. If you get only 1 Takedown a whole game, your score will be 1/1/0 automatically, so your Takedowns are counting as kills, too.
That's not true, I've had less takedowns than kills before
Looking back it was actually a really good pub stomp, now after the constant nerfs (with no compensation mind you) highland sword is an archer stomp at best.
I will always watch chivalry content if you make it
I'm watching all your vids and I really hope you do a Punishing Archers for like 15 minutes video XD I feel the anger towards that class. lol

I unironically think Spear (especially one handed users that use the shields) are harder to fight because Highland sword users could be outmaneuvered to just dogpiled because the GIRTH of the weapon kind of makes people want to have space when fighting with it, my strategy is to just hang back and throw or shoot stuff at them .
Spears however are fast as hell and have a long ass range,plus you'll be fighting in groups, and most likely have an easier time avoiding team casualties.

In a 1v1 vacuum? I think it's balanced. In games where you can't be as patient and shits going on around you, and you kinda need to get rid of the guy with the highlander sword? That's the issue. If you play aggressive, you will get slapped twice and die. The objective gamemodes, REQUIRE that you're proactive. My main issue is that it takes TOO LONG to fight a highlander sword safely, and they can smack you down with 2 hits on one of the longest weapons in the game. It's too safe and too punishing at the same time. Unless the guy is just running around with it thinking it's OP, I have to change the way I play in SUCH a way that no other weapon in the game does. That's absurd.

Chiv 2 is not any more janky than Mordhau or Chiv 1, but I could say it might be buggier.

They have, they just also have the old ones.
Would enjoy these vids more if they were in first person. I personally dont like the ability to toggle to third person as I believe it gives an advantage especially in pubs. Personal preference though.
