Make a $100 Leather Wallet for $15...WITHOUT TOOLS!!!
We are so happy to share our new Corter Leather Craft Kits with you! We partnered with Weaver Leather to make a handful of super fun, easy, and high quality leather crafting kits that include everything you need to make your own leather wallet, card case, key toppers, or card wallet - and this is just the start!
Each kit contains all the best quality materials we could source - the pre-punched pieces of Hermann Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned leather you need to make your leather craft project, Ritza Tiger thread, John James needles, sand paper, even a canvas bag to store your project in :)

Kits are how I got started in 2004 at the age of 59 years old while recovering from lung surgery. Leatherworking has been a most enjoyable and rewarding hobby.
I'm really interested in it. I did a couple projects in middle school but I want to do more. I also really like giving handmade gifts at christmas.
Great idea guys! I have never personally bought a kit from anywhere, but they are an awesome idea for someone curious about the craft, like you mentioned. Its nice to be able to spend less than $30 to try leather-craft out. Nobody wants to go buy a bunch of tools for something they don't even know they'll like.

Great idea! I especially like that you are using good leather and thread in the kits, and they have appropriate sized holes pre-punched.

Fabulous idea and a great way to make people like me start off in leather work. Love the simplicity of the kit and not being over whelmed with not knowing what to start with.
Something I realised a little while back is if you have a Victorinox swiss army knife all you need to get started having a go with leather is some leather, needles and thread. You can even do without the needles since the awl has an eyelet but it does make massive gashes if you use that. Anyway craft shops often have a basket of random leather offcuts and you can get leather reclaimed from old sofas (couches) from ebay and other places.
I'm assembling this kit right now and having a fun, relaxing time. I'll be buying more. They're a great idea.

Awesome idea for putting out your own kits! I just started down the rabbit hole that is Leatherwork about a month ago and I've gone through every kit you can find at the local craft stores. I am definitely going to grab a couple of your kits asap!

I haven't bought these kits yet but I have others and I have had some great results. I have been going at it for about a month now and have nice wallets made. I bought a knife that came with a sheath and the threads are already coming undone and I am glad that I know how to restitch then because of your videos and ones like it.
At first I was thinking that this isn't the best way for anyone to learn about the craft, since all the most important steps are already pre-made in the kit. But then you mentioned dipping one's toes in leathercraft and yeah, those are a great way to do it. I like the idea even though I would not buy a kit like that.

Not just maybe be able to do something for a little income but to have great joy to making handbags I have looked at handbags thinking how I like to make them the way I want to be add a pocket or special ways of organizing it how I could possibly make it better but never thought I really could just a dream I was thinking of maybe making things to give or sell to help people in the mission fields to be a blessing to someone else, the income only is partly what I like to do helping with financially cuz of health issues but doing something you love to do so awesome!! You said to go around and back stitch the end of each side of the wallet, but what I want to know is why? What can’t you use the whole length of thread to go around the whole piece?
Hey there! So I was looking for a wallet to buy, I went to a LV store and i liked the N63260 Multiple Wallet
When I saw it I really loved it but when I asked how much it is they said 900$, It was clearly not the number I was expecting but i really want to see how much it's gonna cost you guys to make it or something similar, I will be waiting for this video if it's possible to make!

Can you please make another one of these kits but a more expensive version (for example may be in the 50 dollar range) with higher quality materials? And maybe make an option to choose the color of the material provided in the kit!
Maybe one day! We wanted to use the highest quality veg tan we love so that people can dye them in any color they want :) It's super fun to dye your own and customize it!

In my opinion, vegetable tanned leather is a more difficult material to work with. One mistake and a tool mark remains on the skin. However, if you find talent within you, you can make beautiful items. Personalized decorations etc. The wallet in this film is a very simple pattern but the leather used is very good quality and not cheap at all. However, CAD designed stencils with seam holes spoil the charm of manual sewing.

When I’m burnishing the edges even after I add wax to them I can still slightly see the line divides between the layers, and it becomes more visible the more I use the wallet, any suggestions to fix my problem please?

Any contact cement will work great - Barge, Weldwood, etc :)
Don't use a solvent based contact cement for a wallet like this. There is absolutely no need for it when gluing leather to leather and especially not with stitched edges. There are really good water based contact cements out there and no fumes to worry about. Renia Aquilim 315 or Ecostick 1816B are good choices and super strong.

We're absolutely going to expand the offerings over time :) not sure on zip around wallet as we'd have to pre-sew the zipper in but we'll add it to the R&D list

Why not just stitch all the way around? Is it just to have two sets of back stitches?
you can do that! It's just a lot of thread to manage if you're just learning, so we split it in half :)
