That's how we're children's of Israel. All of us
      CHAPTER 2 VERSES 58_71
And remember We said: "Enter this town, and eat of the plenty therein as ye wish; but enter the gate with humility, in posture and in words, and We shall forgive you your faults and increase (the portion of) those who do good."
But the transgressors changed the word from that which had been given them; so We sent on the transgressors a plague from heaven, for that they infringed (Our command) repeatedly.
And remember Moses prayed for water for his people; We said: "Strike the rock with thy staff." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each group knew its own place for water. So eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah, and do no evil nor mischief on the (face of the) earth.
And remember ye said: "O Moses! we cannot endure one kind of food (always); so beseech thy Lord for us to produce for us of what the earth groweth, -its pot-herbs, and cucumbers, Its garlic, lentils, and onions." He said: "Will ye exchange the better for the worse? Go ye down to any town, and ye shall find what ye want!" They were covered with humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause. This because they rebelled and went on transgressing.
Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (The towering height) of Mount (Sinai): (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein: Perchance ye may fear Allah."
But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.
And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."
So We made it an example to their own time and to their posterity, and a lesson to those who fear Allah.
And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commands that ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stock of us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!"
They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us what (heifer) it is!" He said; "He says: The heifer should be neither too old nor too young, but of middling age. Now do what ye are commanded!"
They said: "Beseech on our behalf Thy Lord to make plain to us Her colour." He said: "He says: A fawn-coloured heifer, pure and rich in tone, the admiration of beholders!"
He said: "He says: A heifer not trained to till the soil or water the fields; sound and without blemish." They said: "Now hast thou brought the truth." Then they offered her in sacrifice, but not with good-will.
He said: "He says: A heifer not trained to till the soil or water the fields; sound and without blemish." They said: "Now hast thou brought the truth." Then they offered her in sacrifice, with doubts.
12 secs we are children's of Israel The Knower of which hidden and wich open 12 times in Quran. 12 times. An example:
      CHAPTER 13 VERSES 8_9_10
Allah doth know what every female (womb) doth bear, by how much the wombs fall short (of their time or number) or do exceed. Every single thing is before His sight, in (due) proportion.
He knoweth the unseen and that which is open: He is the Great, the Most High.
It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceal his speech or declare it openly; whether he lie hid by night or walk forth freely by day.
And this CHAPTER is known that it's the most important chapter and most long chapter in Quran with 286 verses

Didn't you understand what that mean it a mix between languages which of the people's of disbelief Jesus did speak aramic so know look this verse and understand the miracle
      CHAPTER 16 VERSE 103
We know indeed that they say, "It is a man that teaches him.The language of those who deviate from it is nonsense, and this is a clear Arabic tongue.
It was made in mecca and medina this was it's language and this the same language that I do speak today
QURAN saying o children's of Israel always and always and always he talks to arabs or children of Israel isho wasn't in Syria?between mecca?and Saudi arabia?he did go there and syraic language is so similar to aramic it was aramic language and syriac aramic language Jesus did speak aramic then the Bible in Hebrew and Greek languages first translations didn't you see that God in Quran does mockery against the disbelievers because they talked about language and tongue and this language is still living since that time and forever.
Matthew 4:24 is the twenty-fourth verse of the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament. This verse is part of a brief summary of and introduction to Jesus' ministry in Galilee, which will be recounted in the next several chapters. This verse relates Jesus' fame "throughout all Syria" (Greek: εἰς ὅλην τὴν Συρίαν, eis holēn tēn Syrian) and summarizes his work of healing.
IF YOU DON'T BEALIVE YOU'RE BIBLE IT'S SOMETHING ELSE WICH IT SAID HE GOES TO SYRIA AND ALL PEOPLE'S AGREE THAT HE WAS TALKING ARAMIC LANGUAGE guess what Syria is a Muslim country thier older language did speak aramic and gospel was written in Hebrew language he did comes to Paul in vision speaking Hebrew language this is you're logic that you're goes one look I every place what language did he speaks and how he was saying Allah and how much things got fabricated
FINALLY BY THIS VERSE AND PEACE
      CHAPTER 41 VERSE 44
Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail?other language than arabic and arabic Say: It is guidance and healing for those who believe And those who do not believe, there is deafness in their ears, and it is blindness to them Those are calling from a far place.

Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

I've read this book 📖. Regardless of the previous translation author, no one has ever gone into such depth giving roots, sources and examples for every word in his research.
The research is beyond reproach in my opinion and I'm a believer.
All too often believers systematically ignore any discussion on any topic regarding Islam. No matter how logical and well proven with no stone unturned. This began with Caliphate Uthman and continues today.

Thanks Thomas for this very informative livestream.Yes hands down very few can now say about the so called classical Arabic what with a majority of loan words from Aramaic ,if I have correctly understood the Quran if read in the Aramaic script would be a nontrinitarian Christian script as it was painted with dense strokes of Gnosticism which deny that Jesus had a human body and his appearance was an illusion. There are lots of Ethiopic words or Habashi words which is interesting too.Keep up the good work.

    • @TAlexander

Thank you Juliet, a little correction though: While the Quran is full of Gnostic imagery, the writers would have rejected the Gnostic idea of Jesus presence being an illusion. In fact, they had the opposite Christology. They believed Jesus to only be a man, not divine at all.
However, they have unwittingly taken on some elements from the Gnostics which imply a docetic Christology, which then lead to problems down the line, resulting in necessary reinterpretations. But we’ll get into that in the next video.

They were covered with humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause.

Islam is slowly starting to accept that the Quran they have today isn't identical, word for word, letter for letter as from the time of Mohammed. This leads to the question as to which Quran does Allah have.

@@pawasjayabalit1801 You just regurgitate the lies told to you with blind trust. The Quran from the 8th century to today has been so heavily edited because the Quran was most stupidly written without diacritic markings. Each Khalif from the 8th century had their own interpretation. Al Bazzi (786-864), Qnbl (810-904), Warsh (728-812), Qaaluun (737-835), Heeshaam (770-859), Ibn Zkwaan (789-856), Khalaf (767-843), Khallad (835), AlDoori (860), Abu ‘Ali al-Haareth (864), Hafs (708-805) Abu Bakr Sho‘bah Ibn Ayyash (713-809), Al Doori (767-860), Al Susi (874). I’m not Arabic but even I know when you insert Diacritic marks in the wrong place you change the word and meaning. You basically have the Hafs version today (150yrs after Mohammed), but why did they ignore all the others when they have 10s of thousands of textual variations between them. Allah was clearly wrong when Mohammed said the Quran is the most beautifully written and clear to read book. Therefore, Islam is fake.

For the, intelligent, educated and enlightened Muslims to know the truth, they should find answers to the following questions and try to understand what the secular scholars and
researchers have to say about it
      1. How many centuries after the death of Prophet Mohammed the Quran was written down and how many Qurans were in circulation before it was
      standardized?...Where isthe real quran now?
      2. Were the contents of the Quran copied from any other ancient texts? (Christian, Jewish, Pagan, local myths and fables etc.)
      3. Was there one or more than one Mecca? and where is the real Mecca?
      4. What is the truth behind the Zam Zam well?
      5. What is the real history of kaba? and who built it?
      6. Do history, archeology, and science support the claims of Islam?
      7. What is satanic verses and why is it important for the understanding of Islam?
      8. 'Without lies, ...... dies' - about which religion it is said and why?
      9. One of the major functions of a Prophet is to prophecy. What are the prophecies by 'Prophet' Mohammed and what are the ones that were really fulfilled? And What is the real name of Prophet Mohammed and what does it mean?
      10. Are Muslims really the descendants of Abraham and if not, who really are they and what history says about it?
      11. Who are the members of trinity? 'Father, Son and the Holy Spirit' or 'God, Jesus, and Mary', as 'revealed' to Prophet Mohammed by Allah, recorded in the Quran, and believed by the Muslims?
      12. What about Prophet Mohammed 's flying visit to the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Did he really visit the temple and what is the evidence for it?
      13. What are the contrbutions made by Christians and jews vs. Muslims, for the benefit of mankind?
      14. Is there any difference between a Muslim with exposure to western ideas, thoughts and education and one without any exposure to the same? If there is any difference, what is the reason for the difference and what is the basis for the western thoughts, educaton etc. that makes the difference?
      15. I am giving below the names of the founders of modern religions and also some positive and negative human traits. You decide for yourself who is the person who has all the negative traits and who's the person who has all the positive traits:
      a) Founders of modern religions: Gowthama Budha, Mahaveer Jain, Zorastar, Jesus Christ, Mohammed Nabi and Guru Nanak.
      b) Negative traits: Hatred, fanaticism, religious intolerance, violence, mass murder, womanizing, pedophilia, cunningness, coveteousness, mental imbalance, suicidal tendencies, dacoity, slave trading, ruthlessness, lieing, cunningness and deception.
      C) Positive traits: Love, care, compassion, peace, sacrifice, forgiveness, reconciliation, positivity, openness, truthfulness, inclusiveness and honesty.
      16. What is the history of the black stone and where was it before being placed in the quoba?
      17. Who is Al Qudam and what does the name mean?
      18. Muslims speak of the "atrocities'' committed by the Jews against the Prophet and his followers. But in fact, it is the Prophet who plundered a jewish village, slaughtering the men and taking away the women. There are many more atrocities like this. Now, ask yourself what are the atrocities committed by the jews.
      19. Is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the God of Prophet Mohammed and the Muslims (Allah) the same? If not, who is Allah and what is his origin?
      20. How a religion that was started in Arabia, claims the God of the Jews, their scriptures, their prophets, their teachings, their way of life, their land, their doctrine, and their Holy places as its own? And what happened to the Jews, Christians, and the Pagans, the sons of the soil in the 6th century middle east, and who occupies their land now?
Note: Watch channels like cira international, harris sulthan, pfander, CP etc. for enlightenment.
Everyone has the right to believe or not to believe anything he or she wants But see to it that no one fools you in the name of religion and brainwash youto hate/harm your fellow humans.@@pawasjayabalit1801

But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

This is massive! Do you think it would be possible to translate the entire Quran into Aramiac using the method of Christopher Luxembourg and produce a faithful recreation and then release it in all foreign languages so we can see what the Quran (potentially) originally meant? That would be ground breaking and would probably spell the end of Islamic expansionism in the Western world.

    • @TAlexander
      @TAlexander  2 роки тому +18

Just to be clear, what Luxenberg is saying is not that there was an Aramaic Quran, but that the Quran originally contained many Aramaic words which have since been misinterpreted as Arabic words, oftentimes with very confusing results.
Having said that, a complete analysis of the Quran would be amazing, but also a tremendous endeavour. There's currently the first project to produce a critical edition of the Quran underway. Unfortunately, they do not include Luxenberg's approach but instead rely on the Islamic traditions. However, even without that added complexity, it is scheduled to take almost 20 years with many of the best minds working on it.
But hopefully, once that critical edition exists, it will be easier for scholars who want to follow in Luxenberg's footsteps. But even today, Luxenberg's examples are already impressive. He has looked at many verses in the Quran and identified lots of misreadings.

    • @Jeem196
      @Jeem196 2 роки тому +3

@@TAlexander So not the entire Quran was written in Aramaic, but it included at least 25% of its content in Syriac-Aramaic, which led to many questionable phrases that had to be interpreted only in Arabic, making them nonsensical compared to their original intention. And that many Semitic Christian hymns had been taken as inspiration for these texts, is that correct?

    • @TAlexander
      @TAlexander  2 роки тому +5

@@Jeem196 Actually, I haven't come across an estimate for a percentage of Aramaic words in the Quran. Though I doubt that it would be anywhere near 25%. The 25% figure is roughly the amount of verses which are "dark", i.e. which can not be understood properly. That does not mean that they're all completely Aramaic. But chances are that many of these verses have one or more Aramaic words in them. Luxenberg has identified a lot of these cases. So the number of Aramaic words in the Quran would likely be a lot less than 25%. But it's obviously still enough to trip up generations of exegetes who didn't know about that connection.

In part, this may be due to the specific translation. There's always something lost there. You could probably also translate it along the lines of "gleaming" or even "precious" instead of "crystalline".
The fact that they're described as "like pearls still in their shells" also needs to be taken into account. That is a metaphor for how pristine and untainted these grapes are. Can we at this time reach any firm conclusions regarding the provenance of the Quran? I have heard arguments for Syria, Petra, and Merv, and Ctesiphon and Hira appear to me to be plausible as well. The description in the Quran appears to fit Petra remarkably well. Merv has in its favor that it was then located in the same Sassanid province where the Abassid revolt is said to have been planned, so it may have taken its more or less final form there. It is an intriguing mystery.

Another angle of research that would dovetail nicely with this is the theory that the original use of the name Mohammed was a reference to Jesus - that Christians in that area of the world used MHMD to refer to Christ. There are apparently coins with MHMD and a cross on them from that era. The theory goes that this tradition was wiped out by the early Caliphs and aspects of the previous Christian tradition were rolled into the new religion based around the life of Mohammed.

One objection I heard (I think it was on the channel: Farhid Responds, UA-cam) is that how could differences in words and meanings found in different qira'at (Arabic Quran editions) be explained by forgetting some original reading when some Suras (such as Al Fatiha) would have been recited five times each day, every day, from memory (and any mis-spoken word would be instantly corrected by other reciters)?
I found the argument persuasive, but it still does not explain how or why there are differences between Quran variants even in the first chapter: i.e. Hafs reads *maalik (owner) but Warsh reads *malik (king). Clearly, words and their corresponding meanings have changed, and have even been authorised within different Arabic Qurans. So, something clearly does not add up in the traditional account. (Although, there is the argument of variant qira'at readings being complementary; expressing a range of associated and complimentary meanings which could not be conveyed in one reading alone. But this argument also has holes: why would such variant readings (ah'ruf/qira'at) have prompted Caliph Uthman to authorise a Qur'an in only one dialect?)

Excellent explanation of Luxenberg's work defended by Gabriel Said Reynolds in his remarkable introduction to a major work "The Qur'an in its Historical Context". Like several researchers before him, Luxenberg has the merit of having understood that Aramaic is one of the source languages of the Qur'an which has allowed him to "improve" several "dark passages" by proposing another clearer and plausible reading.
However, Luxenberg lacks audacity, especially if we compare his work with that of Bonnet-Eymard (who is still little known). First, Luxenberg remains dependent on Muslim tradition by giving credit to Tafsirs or dictionaries established long after the Qur'an (step 1 and 2 of his method) while Bonnet-Eymard rejects them for this reason. Secondly, it is not only the obscure, bizarre verses, the "dark passages" that must be reworked. It is the whole Qur'anic text that must be revised and not only in the light of Aramaic but also and especially in the light of Hebrew which is more important!
B.-E. recognized very early on that Aramaic is one of the source languages of the Qur'an [that is, it could be transposed because of its similarities with Arabic] but he especially realized that Hebrew [which Luxenberg does not speak or speaks little] is even more important. The result is a revolutionary translation of the first 5 suras spread over 35 years of hard labor.
Recently, someone to whom I was explaining Bonnet-Eymard's work wrote to me: "The Aramaic connection is so clear and obvious, so well documented and traceable but with Hebrew, we don't have nearly as much." To which I replied: "And yet, Hebrew is fully present from the first sentence of the first surah! Bonnet-Eymard explains this in the first lectures he gave.
    ua-cam.com/video/JB0IoxHwyt0/v-deo.html (from 13:35....)
Bonnet-Eymard pays a lot of attention to this first surah even if it is very short. His explanations, notes, and justifications are spread over 7 pages. What for? Because it is an introduction to his method.
But he did not start his work with the first surah. He began to test his intuitions by examining the small suras 105 and 106, two fine examples of unintelligible texts! Was it possible to bring out a new, clearer, and more coherent text by reworking them in the light of Hebrew and Aramaic? Well yes. Here is the translation he gave me of Sura 105 where the "arab" word "fil" (elephant which is the name of this surah) disappears or rather is integrated into a new term "Ne-phil-im" (the giants of which Genesis speaks).
    Here is the new text:
Haven't you seen what your master did to the Nephilim?
Didn't he accomplish their destruction in a flood?
And knocks down upon them the Tower of Babel,
Raised by them with sealed bricks?
And he condemned them to eat grass.
The difference with traditional reading is striking. Not only do we have a clearer and more understandable text but also a text that simply refers to the Bible putting an end to the fanciful legend of a battle of the Elephant in Mecca to "explain" it.

They were covered with humiliation and misery; they drew on themselves the wrath of Allah. This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause. But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

Thanks Thomas, I have a concern about the حور العين interpretation. In other parts of the Quran, there are similar verses talking about them in context as "women". How do we reconsile that?
Translation attempt: (there shall be ... Houris (women/maidens) [modestly?] in the tents)
How are the grapes sitting in tents in a specific way?

I was really blown away by your previous videos and I was expecting more of the same for other "occurrences" of these Syrup-Aramaic elements. But what I see is very thin at best. Seems more like forcing it. That's my opinion though, maybe you could make a detailed video about this section and argue for it better than he did. Perhaps with potential new findings after his works?
Thanks a lot, appreciate your work! Hope for more interesting lights.

@@ee6lpzfzj023 I don't think I can argue it better than the man himself. If his book won't convince you, then I won't either. Though I feel his arguments to be solid. It fits with the general idea of paradise at the time, it makes sense of weird things like the translucent skin of the Houris, where he uses different definitions (e.g. "first fruits" vs. "virgins"), they are more common than those used in the classical interpretation, he gets rid of grammatical problems and the Aramaic words are all well attested, he even finds Arabic parallels going back to the same Aramaic root (e.g. "white" for "grape" and "eye" for "esteem"). Not to mention that the idea of describing beautiful women as "ones with big, white eyes" sounds awfully contrived.
Anyway, I'll cover the topic again in one of my "3 Minute Quran Study" videos which should come out in 2 or 3 weeks. By its very nature, that will be more condensed, but also more visual. Theoretically, that shouldn't convince you either, but the short format has more punch and and the presentation style should help visualising it better.

Questionable whether garden "bowers" were used at that time. Seems more of a modern luxury. Questionable also that grapes hang or sit under those bowers, which are usually used for recreational purposes rather than growing grapes; although, you might argue that because paradise is so rewarding you would relax under bowers and grapes would dangle onto you for grasping. Would I do find supporting this idea in your quoted verse is the word "Khairaat", which typically means "Goods" or bounties. Since the sexual "Hur" can only be considered as one type of bounty, the plural would be more suitable for different types of fruits or grapes. However, the word "Hisaan", meaning good looking, and used in modern Arabic for human beauty, would be more fitting for the "Hur", rather than the fruit. I'm still 50-50 on this as you are. In a way, this could be all indicative of how poetic the writer was, in that he may indeed was referring to sexual beings but metaphorically paralleled their description with that of grapes and fruits. A combination of meaning may be the resolution here. In Arabic poetry this is actually very very common and still the art of using such subtle analogies is still taught in schools today and is called "Tashbih Tamthili" - "تشبيه تمثيلي"

Languages degrade, they do not "evolve". It is a tool for thinking, not communication, it is what separates other lifeforms from humans. The mere fact that translation is even possible underlies a common origin for all languages, orca whales separated from their birth pod are unable to communicate with other whales if they get adopted, they are only able to track the others visually.
Classical Arabic has largest phonemic inventories among semitic languages. It has 28 consonants (29 with Hamza) and 6 vowels (3 short and 3 long). Some of these sounds are rare or absent in other semitic languages. For example,
    - Classical Arabic has two pharyngeal consonants /ʕ/ (ع) and /ħ/ (ح). These sounds are found only in some semitic languages (Hebrew and Amharic), but not in others (Akkadian and Aramaic).
    - Classical Arabic has two emphatic consonants /sˤ/ (ص) and /dˤ/ (ض) These sounds are found only in some semitic languages (Hebrew and Amharic), but not in others (Akkadian and Aramaic).
    - Classical Arabic has two glottal consonants /ʔ/ (ء) and /h/ (ه), which are produced by opening and closing the glottis ). Akkadian has lost the glottal stop /ʔ/, while Aramaic has lost both the glottal stop and the glottal fricative /h/.
    - Classical Arabic has six vowel phonemes /a/, /i/, /u/, /æ /, /e/, /o/, which can be short or long. Akkadian has only three vowel phonemes /a/, /i/, /u/, which can be short or long, while Aramaic has only two vowel phonemes /a/ and /i/, which can be short or long.
    |Classical Arabic | 28 consonants, 29 with Hamza and 6 vowels; some consonants are emphatic or pharyngealized; some vowels are marked with diacritics | Complex system of word formation based on roots and patterns; roots are sequences of consonants that carry the basic meaning of a word; patterns are sequences of vowels and affixes that modify the meaning and function of a word | Flexible word order, but VSO is most common; SVO is also possible; subject and object are marked by case endings (-u for nominative, -a for accusative, -i for genitive); verb agrees with subject in person, number, and gender; verb has different forms for different moods and aspects |
    | Akkadian | 22 consonants and 3 vowels; some consonants are glottalized or palatalized; vowels are not marked | Similar system, but with different roots and patterns; some roots have more than three consonants; some patterns have infixes or reduplication | Fixed word order of SVO; subject and object are not marked by case endings, but by prepositions or word order; verb agrees with subject in person, number, and gender; verb has different forms for different tenses and aspects |
    | Aramaic | 22 consonants and 3 vowels (later variants have more); no emphatic or pharyngealized consonants (except in some dialects); vowels are not marked (except in later variants such as Syriac) | Simple system of word formation based on prefixes and suffixes; some roots or patterns exist, but are less productive than in Arabic or Akkadian |
"Semitic" is just mumbled Arabic, really. Imagine English with a third of its letters removed and simplified grammar. That's Aramaic, Hebrew, etc. For example, combine T and D into just T; there's no need to have 2 letters. The same goes for k, q, c - they should all be c from now on, etc., etc. Arabic is the only corollary to proto-Semitic. In fact, the whole classification of Semitic languages is nonsensical for anyone with a somewhat functioning brain. Hebrew, Aramaic, and the rest of these made-up dialect continua only have 22 letters out of the 29 proto-Semitic letters. Arabic has all 29. The difference between Arabic and the other creoles and Pidgin is the same as the difference between Latin and pig Latin or Italian. "Phoenician" is an Arabic dialect continuum, and not only that, it is pidgin. It is simplified to the point of stupidity. Anyone with a basic knowledge of Arabic would see this clearly. What happened was that Arabic handicapped "scholars" saw the equivalent of Scottish Twitter spelling, with added mumbling due to phonemic mergers (22 letters, not 29), and mistakenly thought they were seeing a different language."
Let's start with a simple sentence:
    ## The house is big
    al-bayt-u kabīr-un
    Proto-Semitic:
    *ʔal-bayt-u kabīr-u
    ha-bayit gadol
    Akkadian:
    bītum rabûm
    Amharic:
    betu gedelu
As can be seen, Arabic and Proto-Semitic have the same word order (noun-adjective), the same definite article (al-), and the same case endings (-u for nominative). Hebrew and Akkadian have lost the case endings and changed the definite article (ha- and -um respectively). Amharic has changed the word order (adjective-noun) and the definite article (u-).
But Arabic is not only similar to Proto-Semitic, it is also pre-Semitic, meaning that it is the original form of Semitic before it split into different branches. This is because Arabic preserves many features that are not found in any other Semitic language, but are found in other Afro-Asiatic languages, such as Egyptian and Berber. These features include:
    - The definite article al-, which is derived from the demonstrative pronoun *ʔal- 'that'. This article is unique to Arabic among Semitic languages, but it is similar to the article n- in Berber and the article p-, t-, n- in Egyptian.
    - The dual number for nouns and verbs, which is marked by the suffix -ān or -ayn. This number is rare in other Semitic languages, but it is common in other Afro-Asiatic languages, such as Egyptian and Berber.
    - The imperfective prefix t- for verbs, which indicates the second person singular feminine or third person plural feminine. This prefix is unique to Arabic among Semitic languages, but it is similar to the prefix t- in Berber and Egyptian.
    - The passive voice for verbs, which is marked by the infix t between the first and second root consonants. This voice is unique to Arabic among Semitic languages, but it is similar to the passive voice in Egyptian and Berber.
Finally, a more complex sentence: The letter was written with a pen.
    kutiba-t al-risāla-t-u bi-l-qalam-i
    Proto-Semitic:
    *kutiba-t ʔal-risāla-t-u bi-l-qalam-i
    ha-michtav niktav ba-et
    Akkadian:
    šipram šapāru bēlum
    Egyptian:
    sḏm.n.f p-ẖry m rnp.t
    Berber:
    tturra-t tibratin s uccen
Here, Arabic and Proto-Semitic have the same word order (verb-subject-object), the same passive voice marker (-t-), the same definite article (al-), and the same preposition (bi-). Hebrew has changed the word order (subject-verb-object), lost the passive voice marker, changed the definite article (ha-) and the preposition (ba-). Akkadian has changed the word order (object-subject-verb), lost the passive voice marker, changed the definite article (-um) and the preposition (bēlum).
Now how is it that the Qur'an came thousands of years in a language that is lexically, syntactically, phonemically, and semantically older than the oldest recorded writing?
Now how is it that the Qur'an came thousands of years later in an alphabet that had never been recorded before, and in the highest form the language had ever taken?
The creator is neither bound by time nor space, therefore the names are uttered as they truly were, in a language that is lexically, syntactically, phonemically, and semantically older than the oldest recorded writing. In fact, that writing appears to have been a simplified version of it. Not only that, but it would be the equivalent of the greatest works of any particular language all appearing in one book, in a perfect script and in the highest form the language could ever take. It is so high in fact, that it had yet to be surpassed despite the fact that over the last millennium the collection of Arabic manuscripts when compared on word-per-word basis in Western Museums alone, when they are compared with the collected Greek and Latin manuscripts combined, the latter does not constitute 1 percent of the former as per German professor Frank Griffel, in addition all in a script that had never been recorded before. Thus, the enlightenment of mankind from barbarism and savagery began, and the age of reason and rationality was born from its study.
God did bring down the Qur’an, Mohamed is his Messenger.

I mean even if Uthman burnt all-non arabic (hijazi/kufic) texts within reach, he could have never been able to burn 100%. as the Sanaa manuscripts have shown... and coranic texts in syriac letters would be even more difficult to identify. especially if it only says "Qeryone" on the cover hhh

The argument is that these texts would have been pre-Quran, confined to the original place they were written, never widely distributed and possibly quite a bit older than the Quran is generally believed to be.
And what the Sanaa manuscript also shows is that you need to be really lucky to find a manuscript like that. And just like people may not be inclined to destroy a text they wouldn’t be able to readily identify as Quranic, by the same token they wouldn’t be inclined to preserve it. Instead of putting it on a "pious dump" like in Sanaa, they’d just wash it off.

'' Kur'an was not unchanged.. '' is false statement.
When you love to dig deep, dig deeper.
In Islam we have something called '' Hifz '' - people who memorize the whole Kur'an, from first to last word. This dates from the time of Muhammad a.s.. Jibreel ( Angel Gabriel ) was asking Muhammad to recite the whole Kur'an occasionally during his life to check is it all memorized like it should be. And upon Muhammad a.s. death, he asked him to recite it 2 times.
Also, Muhammad a.s. asked the same all the people who memorized Kur'an at that time. And those people asked other people and so on.
Translation can be little different because of different languages and everything with it, but the main message and main purpose of Kur'an will never be changed and can't be changed.
Dig deeper and learn more my friend.

Bro. Oral tradition did not originate in Muslims.. Jewish tradition was based upon memorizing the Torah and also reading it together at least once a week, every week on the Sabbath day. They were supposed to talk about the word all the time to have it as a mark on their mind and on their hands, figuratively speaking. It means written in the inner hearts. Nothing new under the sun. I’m sure Hindus have done the same. Oral tradition was used by everyone until writing came a long and even then it didn’t stop losing its importance. Oral tradition has its strengths and weaknesses, just like written tradition.

Luxemburg's thesis isn't really taken seriously as far as mainstream Quranic scholarship is concerned. Yes, some of the Syriac influences he points out are true and accepted, but that stuff was already long recognized as a fact, whereas his Syriac re-readings of entire passages are not really a parsimonious or necessary way of explaining the nature of the text.

What is taken to be standard in mainstream Quranic scholarship is very, very ideologically motivated. Islamic Studies in the West have this defect. And in Religious Studies departments across North America, I can tell you that scholars/academics of other traditions (Christian, Jewish, Indic/Hindu, Indic/Buddist, East Asian, etc.) are quite disappointed and critical of their colleagues working in Islam who do things very safe and suspect.

That's certainly true. Compare, for example, the wikipedia articles on the Quran versus the Gospels and the standard applied to each is like night and day.

It is so funny how you twisted the Arabic Language which I think that you can't undrestand or speak . All All you have done is distortion of the Holy Quran and you build your silly argument based on your own distortion to fit your needs as Christian missionary . I wonder why Christian can't prove Christianity without twisting the Holy Quran and the Jewish Tanakh to suit your needs?

"The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go."
