I had a neighbor who worked for General Foods and he was one of the food scientists who was involved in creating Pop Rocks. He brought home a big jar of them. They hadn't hit the market yet, and I was surprised to see how little they ended up putting in the commercial packages. But they were really delicious. I gave a small amount to our dog and he kept trying to get them off his tongue.
