I definitely enjoyed this concept video because I feel like a lot of times when we buy our super expensive fragrances we don't really wear them. And for me my biggest thing is even if I'm spending a lot of money, I got to be able to wear the fragrance all year round or at least pull it out more than just once or twice a year. Because then I'm not really loving my favorites the way I'm supposed to if i never wear them friend.

Clones have improved in leaps and bounds in the past few years . This year Fragrance World has been killing it , and in the air , the average person in the street will not be able to tell if you are wearing a $100- $300 designer fragrance or a $50 or less priced clone . Some clones even do a twist and try not to be 1 for 1 , and in some cases prefer them better !
Not only have clones improved, I think we all have accepted they do not have to be exact copies, and that gives them more room to be "inspired by" rather than "a dupe of....." and in those cases many are actually better than the original, especially in the realm of performance and longevity.

The way i see it, Parfums de Marly, Xerjoff and similar perfumes are expensive, better designers. Designers, cheapies and clones are for everyday use. Niche stuff like Amouage, Serge Lutens, Francesca Bianchi, Frederic Malle, etc are for the art of perfumery and not for fishing compliments. Layton Exclusif is my favourite fragrance ever made but i would only wear it maybe twice a year and not when im spending time being close to people where you would normally expect comments on your perfume.

Cheap fragrance u will smell cheap bse of low contraction of olis.
Most of the time I layer niche with designer and/or cheaper with more expensive.
I.e. my answer would be 'yes & no'. 😉

Whether it's clothing or fragrance, I buy them for myself and not to get attention from others so when I buy any of them, I never ever think about how other people are going to react to it. I think that's the simple rule for myself although it's not even a "rule". When it happens to be expensive then so be it, I will appreciate more whenever I wear it and if they were cheap, I use them more generously.
