    Do you put gasket sheets on both sidesnof the reed valve? Like on the cylinder side and manifold side?

    • @mirkodebacio8428
      @mirkodebacio8428  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, this reed valve is situated between carbureautor intake and carter. You can use home made paper gasket with vaseline or silicon paste (like red paste for motors). I can recommend to use cca 5mm washer under the reed valve for better mixture flow.

    Hello Mirko can you tell me from where you got the carbon fiber sheet i want to make reeds for yamaha RX115

      @unitkombat 3 роки тому

      Hi, I got that sheets from local motorcycle e-shop. Try to find something like "parts deport" or "scooter attack" websites.

      Nah. You want there to be no light coming through them if looking through the carb side. It won't run right

    How thick is that carbon sheet in mm?

    • @mirkodebacio8428
      @mirkodebacio8428  4 роки тому +2

      0,30mm see the description. But its not universal thickness for all engines. Depend on bore, rpms etc.. thin are better for low rpm and stock engines and thicker for powerful ones.

      Better throttle response and slightly lower fuel consumption. For tuned engine its necessary, for stock one just fine mod.
