I installed this today. It does indeed raise the overall top speed to 45kmh but for some reason it feels like it has less torque. Did you notice this?

If you have the speed limit at 25Km/h and Volspeed Off, the power modes are the original Bosch ones and when Volspeed 32Km/h is ON you have 4 extra modes that are different and programmable, so in total now you have 8 modes?
2- The emtb mode is intelligent and adjusts the power according to the pedaling force, can the Volspeed V4 do the same with the mode programming?
Just ordered this one too. From EpicEbikes here in Australia. Can’t wait to get it on Monday. Sick of taking off at the lights only to hit the 25km/h wall. It’s dangerous IMO. Love that it’s so easy, just wish it was a little cheaper lol.
Edit: I’ve got the exact same bike in the same colour too (Prisma Grey n Red).

@@PineAppleSlice909 Still perfect. Got like 1200km on it and not a single issue. I hit 45kmh daily on a hill by my house. It's an entirely different bike when it's unlocked. I highly recommend the Volspeed V4 over anything else.

Great video this thank you. I just installed on my reisse & muller tinker vario bike which has a performance line motor. As I live in the U.K. my bike was configured for miles per hour and I just could not get the max speed to go up to 32? My next door neighbour figured out that I was confused!!! Red face all around.

I just bought a Cube Hybrid Reaction Pro with the same motor (mine is grey/red but it looks almost white). I think I’ll do the same. I almost bought the Speedbox, but that looks more complicated. You can’t just turn your bike off after the ride. You have to leave it and let it time out or it will throw an error. Volspeed is much easier to just switch off! Simple!
Hi did you fit the volspeed to your Cube Hybrid Reaction Pro (have just ordered the 500 pro bike ( fourth-generation, Smart System-equipped Bosch CX motor 85 N/m motor)...Considering chipping it ..Cheers MC.
@@mcpackard3115 its very easy to follow in the manual it took me about 3 minutes to install they have a guide for evry generation of motor for the smart system bosch motors u need the right chip they sell them on the website and many other places have them just make sure to check that you buy the right one.
Hello, Can the vol speed be turned on and off during a ride without having to stop. There are some stages of my commute to work where it would be better with it turned on and other stages with it off. Thanks
Yes you can, just press and hold the minus button for a few seconds, the display will show 25 and you are back to normal.
Will it be possible to connect the speedbox with the connect modul (gps) at the same time? Cheers Rasmus
I’m amazed that Bosch claim detuning can damage the motor, when the same bikes in the USA can travel over 20mph ?

I don't think it will fit. I have not tried this myself, so you may never know without trying first.
does it display varying numbers when you stop riding ? can you turn it off straight away ?
Everything works as normal, you will not see any strange things on the display. It goes back to normal everytime you turn the display off. You need to activate the speed mode every time you turn on the display, or else it will work as normal 25km/h bike.

I have a 2022 riese & muller delite mountain rohloff that runs the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4.
I installed a chip and it worked amazingly for about 2 months - but unfortunately I started getting error code 504….
How is the best way to reset the motor…?

Thanks for your very clear video. I am looking for a unlock feature for Bosch Performance CX Gen 4 Smart motor. Question I have is can you still use the flow app with this or will there be risk of error? When you update your bike firmeware is it better to remove the chip first? Also what does the countdown mean? And what do you do if there is an error? Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

My (Canadian purchased) 2022 SCOTT Strike eRIDE 920 has the BOSCH Performance Line CX GEN-4 , which has 5 plugs all with wires going into them .Only 1 of the ports don't have a wire plugged into it. Is there some other product or adapter that I'd require to make this work?
You just need to unplug two of the connectors and plug those into the module and two other connectors from the module plug into the modules on the bike, it’s basically the module is in series

I have read numerous posts that 35km/h set point will prevent a 504 error code being thrown. Anything beyond that and the bike has a greater chance of noticing the tune.
Will this go into a Lapierre overvolt 5.6 Am 2022 edition?? It just says that it's not compatible with smart system BES3 and I don't know if mine is of that system

I’ve got an Alltrack 4 and the battery is on top not underneath. I’m guessing I wouldn’t need to remove my battery?

I will have to say no to that, as it only removes the max speed limit. It can not add torque to the motor.

Hello, I have the Cube 140 smart system from 2023. I cant tune it with Speedbox 1 bosch smart system. I cant use the green connector, like it show in the installation video. I have a blue one came from the bike next one the green. Anyone tips why?

@@scottfreeman5289 i have a magnet on my air valve, not on the wheel spoke.. so my speed is generated with bluetooth signals.. so there is not a cable that connects to the electromotor.. sorry for my english
What button do you press for the Kiox display?
To activate it, press and hold the minus button for approximately 5 seconds
@@Italjohn Thank you. I was able to figured it out. You have to be in the screen that display the current speed. After you long press the minus botton, you can short press + or - to change how much speed you'd like for pedal assist.

According to bosch this will shut down the bike when the software recognize the tuning... How do you deal with that?
I have using the bike for 3 months now, no problem so far. But yes, if you pass the 45km/h over extended periods, the motor can go into limp mode. Try to googel it.

@@Italjohn Hi John, than you for your reply. I bought a 2023 Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance, it’s running on a Bosch drive unit performance generation 3 (75nm) cruise (250watt), smart system. And I only have two plugs on it? I’m lost. 🫣
I have no idre what went wrong with your chip, but the supplier usually now what to do, so I would have contacted them first.
There's a regular volspeed v4 chip and a seperate (more expensive) Volspeed v4 chip specifically for the Bosch Smart System. You'd need the latter @michaelmccann3331
