If you go down that cellar at the beginning with the light off, there’s (I think) a bad ass rat that, once killed, drops a toy sword you can’t give to the gnome and he’ll give you a gold walnut worth about or just over $300. Don’t quote me on the dollar amount. I just know it’s a lot of money for a starter character. Just be careful early on because the rat is truly bad ass. If you don’t turn off the light he won’t come out.
Amazing tutorial for a completely new player. Learned a ton. Love how they did the difficulty options, how they're basically the same just different rewards. Just bought this game on mobile and I'm blown away. Basically a full PC experience on my phone. So glad I found it.
man, with my camera angle I couldn't even SEE the box under the wooden open shack at 31:33 at the first abandoned bldg you are at before the bridge when you recover from being robbed and beat up. I missed it.
Spoiler alert (NUTCRACKER): To open the nutcracker, you need to go down without turning on the light... there will be a rat that drops his sword when you kill it.
I just got the game . And its awesome underrated game . I thought becus its Russian game it must be garbage and funky but its the opposite. Its from my top games turn based strategy . Even the game dont demand a high performance pc. And thank you for the tutorial . I watched it all and its helpful
Hey I didn't know if you knew this, but maybe you learned by now maybe not, but how to get The Nutcracker to unlock is you exit, turn off the light to the basement go back in and there'll be a stupidly strong rat that you have to kill it and the sword will be on the rat, then you just equip it and use it on The Nutcracker. And you'll get a golden nut.
Perception does allow you to find certain things with a threshold. Same with luck, there are certain events that will only fire at high or low luck. Stealth helps you in either being totally invisible at high stealth to lowering your chance of being selected as a target with a party. Party members in general dont have good stealth, and they will be spotted first and hence targeted first. But yeah, its much more important in a Loner playstyle. I personally find playing on "easy" to be more enjoyable then the rest of the options, because without the extra points, your build options are very limited because yeah, you really do need the defensive perks to survive some of the more imba random encounters.
There is a way to kill all the bandits in the first fight but it’s a huge pain. I probably reloaded my game around 50 times before killing them all. There’s a few videos on UA-cam that’ll show you

This video really helped with some of the game knowledge that I needed. It’s been 4 years since this video uploaded, im curious. Did you ever get the sword for the nutcracker? I noticed it’s all rare RNG with the nutcracker because sometimes a rat that spawns down there and you kill it and it gives you the sword and then you place it on the nutcracker and he gives you a golden nugget. I only got it once. I can’t seem to make it spawn again.
