    If you go down that cellar at the beginning with the light off, there’s (I think) a bad ass rat that, once killed, drops a toy sword you can’t give to the gnome and he’ll give you a gold walnut worth about or just over $300. Don’t quote me on the dollar amount. I just know it’s a lot of money for a starter character. Just be careful early on because the rat is truly bad ass. If you don’t turn off the light he won’t come out.

    Hey I didn't know if you knew this, but maybe you learned by now maybe not, but how to get The Nutcracker to unlock is you exit, turn off the light to the basement go back in and there'll be a stupidly strong rat that you have to kill it and the sword will be on the rat, then you just equip it and use it on The Nutcracker. And you'll get a golden nut.

    Perception does allow you to find certain things with a threshold. Same with luck, there are certain events that will only fire at high or low luck. Stealth helps you in either being totally invisible at high stealth to lowering your chance of being selected as a target with a party. Party members in general dont have good stealth, and they will be spotted first and hence targeted first. But yeah, its much more important in a Loner playstyle. I personally find playing on "easy" to be more enjoyable then the rest of the options, because without the extra points, your build options are very limited because yeah, you really do need the defensive perks to survive some of the more imba random encounters.

    Recently started playing ATOM RPG, I went in blind for my first couple play throughs. Died a lot trying to experiment with different Stat builds. This video really helped with some of the game knowledge that I needed. It’s been 4 years since this video uploaded, im curious. Did you ever get the sword for the nutcracker? I noticed it’s all rare RNG with the nutcracker because sometimes a rat that spawns down there and you kill it and it gives you the sword and then you place it on the nutcracker and he gives you a golden nugget. I only got it once. I can’t seem to make it spawn again.

    • @SpartanWolf222
      @SpartanWolf222  4 роки тому +3

      I mean, so long as you have the weapon skill high enough, you should be able to use it. You won't get good accuracy because you will suffer a strength penalty, so you can a) drink alcohol , etc. to get a strength boost, b) boost your gun skill higher to offset it, or c) get an attribute point later on in the game to get more strength.
      In all likelihood, you'll probably need to use a pistol for a while if you want to have decent aim.

    So, you NEVER get more characteristic points in the game?? And no I'm not talking about temporary boosts or the few things you can do to get a single permanent characteristic boost by 1. Leveling up apparently doesnt ever get you another point for characteristics.....this sucks. That means you HAVE to suck at something else for entire game just so you dont get locked out of what appears to be hundreds of different options. That's not replay encouraging, that's 'Pissing me off and ruining my current experience bullshit', is what that is.

    Thumbs down! The main reason users search for info on YT is because the map makes no sense. You talk to npc at start and he says he marks the map. Open the map. Well it's blank. So wtf? OK sure host gives valuable info. Finally shows the map nearly 50min into the game. After never whatsoever talking to the npc at the front who marks it. But that's not the worst part. Does not show how to open it. Just suddenly cuts to the map being open with all kinds of stuff on it. Does not explain how he got everything to show or anything. And whenever you click or try to move, it moves the character. EDIT: OK just found out from elsewhere that you have to hold down RMB to pan the map around. And you can click the text at the bottom to switch map view. Should really have info for this in the game. Especially the tutorial. Don't see how hard something this basic would have been to explain rather than some of the more advanced info given in this vid.
