Thanks, Scott and Katie. Since you started your UA-cam channel, I've been going crazy trying to work out where the island is located. I've finally worked it out, but I'm all the way over in Australia, so I won't be visiting you any time soon... 😍😻🐾🏝⛪️🐑
That woven seat is beautifully made! I honestly didn't know how they were done, so it was lovely to see it!
Thanks for a fantastic video!
Sent an email to Sea Kyack asking them to be considerate of the islanders on the routes the kyacks take. Hope it helps.
Maravilhosos é perfeito lugar cumplicidade dignidade PAZ 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐑🐑🐑🐑AMEI VOCÊS...LINDOS✨💚
Thanks for yet another adventure on the Scottish isle, I do love Scott's sense of humor he always brings a laugh and a smile to my face, as for the noisy kayaks, I suggest you buy a cannon and fire a warning shot or two across the bow, that should do the trick nicely. see you soon x
Good to see Katie moving the cut logs. If she keeps training, she should be tossing the caber soon...
🤣
Scott, you frighten me to death with that chainsaw, please get leg and foot protection ❤ it doesn't matter how careful you are, a friend of ours died using a chainsaw, slipped and severed his leg, and he was a qualified tree surgeon.
Your repair of the piano stool took me back to my childhood when I used to make stool seats from coloured sea grass. I think they went to various family members. I enjoy your island and the sheer beauty of Jehovah’s creation, no matter the season.
Beautiful job of the piano stool katie❤loved watching Lark rise to Candleford must give it another go, it’s been a while ❤
Lovely episode thank you. Could you make a video on how to weave a seat ?
sometimes it seems i'm watching vaudeville!! you two are so fun to hang out with, even when you are working so hard. Thanks!!
Keep up the great show. I have to chuckle at Scott strutting his stuff at the church. Katie and Scott, you are both hard workers. I love tuning in.
Certainly no shortage of firewood for you. It’s impressive what you manage to accomplish wearing a dress!
Finally someone who agrees with me!!! I'm a vintage TV nut too!! I can't find much nowadays that's worth watching (I have tried and continue to try), but nope! Vintage TV is definitely my cup of tea!
I am just a nut 😇‼️
Hi I did enjoy watching this episode with all the diversity it contained. Scott I think the way to describe Larkrise to Candleford is “down to earth”. More a northern expression I think! thank you. 🐏🐑🐑🐈⬛🐈⬛🪵
I like all the 'Tales from the Green Valley, Victorian Farm, Edwardian Farm, +++' series w/ Ruth, Peter & Alex (& Tom) available on YT. My goodness they packed a ton of historical life into their re-enactments. Ruth Goodman has written a few good books, her w*ki page lists all series & publications. 🥰 A++ IMO.
Big thanks just love watching you both ❤ 💗 as 85 yrs widow have a great family but most live away have one of my grandson Carl xLaura and children live close we live in Scarborough North Yorkshire so love you're video something I look forward to God Bless you both 🤲 xx
God bless. Kx
Larkrise to candleford was an excellent series. Loved Bleakhouse.
I loved Larkrise too
Your channel is an oasis of sanity in a mad world!
Maybe not jumping off a cliff on paper wings exciting, but who wants to do that? 😂 the excitement this show brings, and yes this it the tv i am chosing to watch, is fresh, real, understated funniness 🤭, interesting, unpretentious, calm, visually beautiful especially as we travel through the seasons of the year with you, and quirky in your choices of how you pass your time. Candlefords been a fav of mine for a long time, and definitely fits in with your back in time concept. Keep doing what youre doing lovelys 🤩
Thank you everyone who gave so Scott&Katie could get the camera😊
Great episode and so glad someone else likes Larkspur to Candleford!
Bleak House is great.
Then watch Cranford.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful lives with us.
Wonderful again Katie Scott never disappoints xx
The completed seat is fantastic Kate!
I always enjoy watching you two. The woven seat is beautiful. Very interesting to see how it is done. What a beautiful place to live. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
Your video your music the fabulous video is so enticing my husband and I love your subject matter etc. So BEAUTIFUL!
"Oh Daddy not again, you've lost all our fortune" 🤣🤣🤣Classic. Yes I've got Lark Rise to Candleford too, it's really good viewing. And Bleak house is awesome!! You'll love it. xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
Very talented young lady Katie
Your reflective pose gets 20 points from me ! 😂❤
I love the landscape including the wind, the downed trees, the rocks, the moss, the birds, insects, animals. Thx for closeups and wide beaut views. Really enjoy videos and will soon donate towards metal detector as Scott’s enthusiasm has got me interested.
What amazing scenery pictures and videos we will now expect with your new camera setup. Sick a gorgeous place.
And the geese are probably laughing at night of you painting the rocks saying that they could do that for you or will with no effort and little time just flying over and dropping. 😂😂. I assume you are painting with yogurt for moss to grow.
That last setting, talking by the low wall with the clouds passing over the increasingly green backdrop... that's a special special place.
Always good to go walk about with you both. Where you live deserves many camera use moments. One day is never the same scene as another! It is all beautiful to look at. The way you use the saw has become very efficient Scot. The fencing looks like it will be a life-long mission! I think there is an assumption that there are not any religious believing people left in the majority. So, being able to reflect in a church is not an option. Also, is there not concern about homeless people moving in or the price of damage to churches now being impossible for councils to met? Your Rattan work looks excellent, Katie! 'Lark Rise to Candleford', was an amazing serious. I am going to try and watch it again! Kayaks are like traffic, surely they should have some respect for the rights of residents to some peace! I know it is somebodies business and income, but make sure the users of the business know how to conduct themselves where residents are concerned! What do the RSPB have to say about Kayaks disturbance of nesting sites? I am sure the wildlife societies in Scotland would have something to say to the Kayak business owner! Good luck with your new saplings indoors. I hope they take. : )
Hi from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Very interesting to see all that you do. Love the new lamb. Enjoy the summer. From a wintery South Africa. ❤️🌹🐝
Hello from Alberta Canada, love your channel!!
Ne'er cast a clout, till May is oot. One of my Gran's favourite sayings.😆😆
Congrats on 41K subscribers! As always, thank you for sharing a fly on the wall view of your world with us.
The Vision of Mary was funny
Thank you for reminding us to check and make sure we are still subscribed, my husband just checked on the TV and we were not! This is the 2nd time it has happened.
You made it to 41.4 thousand yay!!!
Loved this video, too bad the church was locked😢
Love having you back 2 days a week now.😁🥰
You are the 15th person to confirm that this is definitely happening in the last 24 hours. It truly is maddening, and UA-cam just keep on denying it.
🙄
You two make my week! 😀❤️
Loved the way you remade the piano seat Katy and watching you both chatting about what's happening on the island
Yipee, those subscriber’s are growing. I follow other channels and they have also had the same problem of UA-cam unsubscribing people. Great vlog as usual, that was some work sorting the tree out. Lovely seeing Shona out with the others, she is growing so quickly. I am with you on the kayakers, have some respect. These companies set up and don’t think of the environment or the people living in the area. ❤x
We live in a tourist area in Alaska. When one of the local helicopter pilots repeatedly flew low right over a friend's house he took to wearing overalls with nothing underneath so that he could run outside and "water his plants" whenever they flew over. Oddly enough it only took about 3 times for them to reroute!
😂
The reason I signed up for Hulu was to watch Lark Rise to Candleford. I had watched bits and pieces on pbs. I have enjoyed watching your vlogs.
Dunnie cast yer coot til Mai is out, or something like that! Enjoy your channel very much watching from New Mexico USA
I have watched Larkrise to Candleford...3 times now. Loved it every time! Bless you 2!!!
I love watching your videos each week. Your discussion about watching Lark Rise to Candleford made me look into the show. I'm enjoying it very much. I'm on Season 1, episode 7 now. I really like it. Thank you for the suggestion.
It gets better with each progressing season.
Wow you both are so determined to take care of that environment. AWESOME work! I love your persistance in keeping things in their natural state as well the hard work is commendable!
Sooooo frustrating… every video I have to “subscribe “ again!! Why is UA-cam “unsubscribing” me? How is that even possible? Everyone needs to check every time. So not fair to your channel. Love watching you two! And now three sheep… almost. 🐑
8 degrees, I'm living in the south east of Spain, 9.20pm and the temperature indoors is bang on 30 degrees, that, the ticks and midges is the things I don't miss. We (my wife and I) (doesn't that sound a bit posh) love it here, but Scotland is where my heart is. We will move back eventually, we look forward to your videos every week.
What a stunning little church - so much history all over. That walk of Scott 😊
Your videos are such a joy to watch. I enjoy tagging along exploring the old places and countryside with you. Scotland is in my blood ..
I am From Netherlands I love your videos Fingers crossed you get everything you want in life.
Happy Memorial Day
Scott reflecting on the last time he got his jacket dirty. 😆
Glad you finally got your camera.
I look forward to seeing your video. Love the views of the sky and clouds. If you enjoyed Mackenzie Crooks ‘Detectorists ‘ then perhaps you might enjoy his Worzel Gummidge . It’s not childish or sentimental………it shows a gentle beautiful countryside with that off beat humour that only Mr Crooks seems to have . It’s a real gem of a programme, nothing like the Jon Pertree version of decades ago.
I loved Larkrise to Candleford when I watched it originally and ended up buying the Blu Rays years ago to watch again in the future. You’ve inspired me to get them out!
Lark Rise to Candleford is my one weakness! Kx
I just love this music❤‼️
Yes, I agree!
The celtic cross my fav marking
Wonderful show rounds off the weekend xx
Love the series recommendations
Thank you very much for the reminder of Lark Rise to Candleford. I loved it the first time and am now enjoying it once more. It is so refreshing to watch something in which principles and morals are discussed and where they matter. This makes me sound like some old 'fart' but actually I try to be kind, compassionate and broad minded but hate the apparent modern dismissal of the fundamentals of humanity, as I see it!!! As for the people in the kayaks, all I can say is thank goodness we are not a gun carrying society or i might be very tempted:) A few years ago I visited Japan, and whereas I realise there are drawbacks to every culture it was so restful to travel on public transport in a country where the first principle was not to spoil the enjoyment of other people.
I love the old traditions myself.
I watched a lot of Larkrise, IDK if it was the whole series or not, but it was very good!
There are four seasons, I think a lot of people missed S4! Kx
if you havent seen The Detectorists, give that a go. lovely gentle treasure of a programme
Scott binge-watched the whole thing. Kx
❤ hope yall and the little sheep 🐑 are doing well ❤ from hentucky😊
You both have been through so much and can no doubt relay to us some wonderful history. I always look forward to watching your channel!
Congratulations on 41 subscribers. Beautiful job on the piano seat Katie looks like it is hard on the hands. Always look forward to Wednesdays and Sundays to sit back and relax watching your videos and by the way Scott, your videography and editing is great 👏
Well you did go to the church for a period of self reflection. Great channel, followed you from the beginning, on our small holding in Shropshire. Similar lift style. Well done.
If you can find them, the Canadian Anne of Green Gables movies, the ones with Meagan Follows, and the spin-off series Road to Avonlea, are wonderful.
Katie - you can do a lot of things. I remember in one of the first videos, you covered an old book to look very antique ?
cast nee,r a cloot till May is oot some say it's the May blossom or hawthorn when it's a late bloomer the weather will stay cold xx great video as usual xx
Just as a wee postscript........St Agnes Church, Glenuig was originally founded in 1893, the church you see today was completed in 1953 !
By the way I've been subscribed since near the start of your channel..... Guid luck 👍
Thank you for sharing your lives and island. Love the nature images.
When you mentioned the Lark Rise to Candleford tv series, it reminded me that I had read the book several years ago and I agree with you it was a very interesting story!
The videos are a joy to watch, what a beautiful place to live
I love watching your episodes. You have a wonderful area to live in, and it's so beautiful. God bless you both.
You're very good at pausing and reflecting, Scott... 😄😆 I think Shona thinks she is a cat, and as agile as a cat... 😍😻🐾
I subscribed on 3 devices 🤭
I LOVE Lark Rise to Candleford---I can't find anywhere to watch it in the US anymore, I used to watch it on Hulu.
Katie you did a wonderful job on that bench seat. You are so talented. Too bad you could not go into that church. I would have loved to see the inside and the stained glass windows of course.
❤️
Just checked…once again I find I am unsubscribed. Why does UA-cam do this? I find it interesting that, in spite of that, your blog appeared at the top of my feed. Nice work on the piano bench!
Another case of being mysteriously unsubscribed here. Good to see you again and your gorgeous new addition 🐑
Should add if you want something silly to watch it should be Still game!! Scottish version of last of the summer wine??
Another awesome video!!❤️👍🏼
Love your walks! Bummer about the church being closed. I watched the Candleford series when it first came out and really enjoyed it. I agree with you about the older films. I have found quite a few of them on you tube, even a few black & white, fun!
I checked and I’m still Subscribed-with all the Alert 🔔 bells! Haha
Love you guys!!
IS FEARR AR FAD from Belleville, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️♥️🐑🐑🐈⬛🐈⬛&🐑🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🪰🪰🪰🪰🪰🪰🐜🐜🐜☺️☺️☀️🌱🌱🌱
“Lang may yer lum reek”
🎉🎉Here’s to 50,000 Now!!🎉🎉
I was waiting to hear you say: “…..it was like Tour Bus unloading on your Lawn!! “. 😂 Rude! Just Rude!! 😢
Beautiful video,take care ❣️
2 video,,s aweek, thats good ,its so different look forward to watching,
Elizabeth Gaskell movie adaptations are also good, Wives and Daughters, Cranford, etc. it’s hard to believe that Dorcas from Lark Rise to Candleford was also Saphron from Absolutely Fabulous and Lydia from Pride and Prejudice, I really love her 😀
Wow the seat looks stunning!
Loved Larkrise was sad when it finished
I agree with other viewers, watch Cranford! I hope the kayakers settle down for you, there is no reason to scare the animals.
I can thoroughly recommend Bleak House. .
I loved Lark's Rise to Candleford. It was a very nice program. I watched it on PBS in the States. My favorites are Midsomer Murders. I love those! Some were filmed near my uncle's home. I watch to see if I'll recognize the villages.
The kyaks are like tourists taking those bus tours of Hollywood homes of the stars.
Why do some people think that it’s ok to be so noisy , disrespectful , I’m sure the human race is getting to be louder . 🤷♀️.
Can’t even go to live on a remote island now & get peace & quiet 🤫.
I also love period drama , to a time when life was much simpler .
Thanks for another relaxing video . 😘
Life may have appeared simpler, but in reality, would have been much harder. 😊
Just had an epiphany…you should make t-shirts with pictures of wee lamb. Celtic images as the background. Especially made for toddlers. I’d buy several for sure.
Lark Rise to Candleford sounds great, sadly only on Britbox which I can't get here in Australia. I'll keep an eye out for it though!
