Loving how assertive you are becoming Katie 😂😂. Did you not put the cam up on tree watching for where the deer were coming. Shona is just like a playful puppy, she follows mum everywhere ❤xx
That was my immediate thought, about the tree camera, maybe check out that episode so you can see exactly where you put the camera.
Just a small suggestion to work on a weak roof , get another ladder to place flat on the roof and a few boards on the ladder that you can walk on like a scaffold (if the roof is steep just use the ladder and a couple of ladder hooks on the end to go over the peak) this will spread the weight nicely and will make life a lot easier if you have to do repairs, it will give you a measure of safety and you can move the ladder around. As that particular rood is fairly flat , it should not be a problem to put the ladder horizontally and work across. Love the way the sheep move around and are curious about what is happening and what you are doing. The wildflower garden you are putting in along the house will be a really nice touch and give a beautiful rustic look to your home.

The DPC below your bedroom wall... You'll get rain water trapped down behind it. I'd have thought it needs a little trench gouged in the wall at the top of the DPC push in the DPC, seal it then fold down the DPC and put soil against it.. just my opinion

I’m sure others mentioned, place a square of the wood you threw off the roof and stand on it to distribute your weight. Roofing is a pain in the neck! Be safe. Katie, I’m amazed at your wealth of knowledge and skills you show us viewers. Blessings.

Shona is like a puppy ,so funny to watch chasing the cat then Katie and just going where ever Katie is. That cabin roof is going to need some renovation Scott it needs strengthening and a new roof rubber sealant over the whole roof as you will just get more leeks. As they say it never rains it pours. Glad you got off the roof safely.

OMG, Shauna just gets more entertaining by the day! I think you won't have any trouble finding enough small flat stones for covering the damp proof membrane.... I'm so envious. I'm gathering stone to build a path in the back yard, but it's taking forever. "I've gone rogue." Katie, I'm beginning to understand how you thrive living with Scott! How fascinating to hear of the connection between rituals of the Druids and and people in Biblical cultures. Traders from the Middle East came in ships to trade for tin mined in Cornwall well before the Roman era., so it doesn't surprise me. But I never made the connection until you passed on that information. Thanks! Scott, I think you are very wise to consider hiring someone to do the roof on your office. Best wishes to you both!

Chipboard is a dreadful thing to put on a roof. It just sucks up moisture. Some decent ply needed.

Abor Low I've not heard about.
Callanish stones are of Gneiss rock; the oldest. It's east facing stone (on dowsing) has a bearded man, of natural configuration within the rock, facing in that direction, funnily enough 🤔

I went to the Arisaig Highland Games and Ceilidh.
Too hungover for a planned visit to Tioram next day, but managed the Glen Uig heritage museum.
Visited the Corpach crystal and gem stone exhibition and shop on the way home 👌
Absolutely great to have that fun time in life! Sometimes we just work way too hard. I’m pretty busy harvesting my garden and with my business. Just decanted 2 gallons of tart cherry vinegar. Took a couple months from start to finish

There is a rich history in your country. I remember visiting stones circles in Orkney n Mae’s Howe. There is a beautiful aura there. You can feel a presence of long ago peoples

Lay a ladder across flat to roof and that is your platform to work off but like you said get someone else in to do it using marine ply and then recover.

Trail cam, if you checked on it during filming, then that's where it is. I believe the last I watched the cam being checked, it is Katie that opened it. It was low to the ground, sort of. Maybe along near a fence. Good luck

We had to study the Druids as part of Swiss History at Ecole Nouvelle where my sister and i went to school in the 1960's. Lausanne, Switzerland.

Get all your materials together. As you are moving along on the roof, use the board you dropped off the roof to spread your weight out over more of the roof trusses (?). Again, just an idea(?).

I heard some scholars say that the lost tribes of Israel aren’t lost they just forgot who they were. Then there is the stories or the origins of The Stone of Destiny, (Jacob’s Pillow) and it’s journey from the Holy Lands to the Hill of Tara and then to Scone.
Indeed, the Bible declares Israel would be blind to their identity, see : Isaiah 42: 16-19, and Romans 11:25. and they would have a new home away from Palestine 2 Samuel 7:10. Another wonderful installment! Regarding the efforts to keep the jetty clear, I just recently saw a wire wheel attachment for strimmers. Basically a twisted wire cup wheel like one would find in a machine shop. I believe I saw it on an Amazon ad. I think that would do a better job at clearing the algae and seaweed off it.

Tarp the roof for now and worry about it after the cottage is done. I live in Florida and it’s tarp heaven after a hurricane because when there’s that many roofs damaged they cannot all be done at once.

For why dae ye insist on using that hovel? It's only fit fit to be torn down. If ye must ye'll need to put on a new roof. With the growth on the roof I suspect the rafters are gone.
We've got nowhere else to store our stuff while redecorating the cottage. Kx
