As a 61 year old woman now , I look back at my pictures of my past, I now realize how beautiful I was. We never see our beauty living in our own skin. It's such a shame we don't see our own beauty. Stay off the chopping block, ladies, because we are all uniquely beautiful.

i am sure that those "photos" are actually REAL emulsion on film, shot from a real camera with a lens, that when teh photo was taken there was no editing, no filters, and every risk the heads were chopped off (lol...) when you finally got that package back from the developers...
and you still have them ;)
i have no memories of the last twenty years as its all digital and well... i basically stopped taking photos about a decade ago. the odd one, but nothing to really remember anything by. no special places, events, times, people. so, at forty... i basically have no photos of my life. a few childhood ones. its cool.
if its worth remembering then i remember it.
i just imagine all these kids of today, their photoshop, their AI editing software to "capture teh perfect moment", and what a retirement village will be like when its full of dementia patients with sagging implants and regrets about sex changes and wilful destruction of their one and only body... and not ONE GENUINE IMAGE to prove that reality ever happened... not one is representative of what actually happened, how things appeared. the extra tourists in that photo of landmarks? that is what makes the photo YOU TOOK your photo. its not just whats in the picture that counts. you look at it and you remember the place, the time, what happened earlier or later that day... how that garden and little bit of brick wall is still there, and how you used to play hide and seek behind it... or the landscape has changed beyond recognition, etc etc...
to edit a photo is tantamount to heresy in my opinion...

At 50 years of age my grandson asked why I colored my hair and why I wore makeup. His words, “grandma you are beautiful just as you are. You don’t need that stuff”. I took his advice and saved my money 😊 and I don’t regret my decision.

I couldn't get my hair cut or coloured during the pandemic, so I didn't. It looked pretty bad at first (I'm an older female, by the way), and I even hacked at it myself, but as it grew out I thought: *hmmmmmm.* In fact, I kept looking at it, as I could not quite believe what I was seeing. My dark-brownish dyed hair was turning, not grey, but - blonde. I am not kidding, for 30 years I frantically "covered the grey" and had highlights put in. As it turns out, my blonde-grey hair has natural highlights. I didn't go back to my old stylist, because I knew she would frantically return me to dyes and streaks - but I went to a new one who said, "Don't you DARE colour your hair!" She gave me a nice shoulder-length cut which is so easy to maintain I can hardly believe it. But it was there all the time, for decades, like pristine hardwood under a rotten old wall-to-wall carpet. Taught me a bit of a lesson about "beauty standards" and how stylists are basically trying to make money from you by making you unhappy with how you look.

I believe she's 65 years old. As a female, she's either wearing a diaper , or she's wearing a fake ass, or she's wearing a bandaid support after after having filler or butt implants put in. It's possible she may have bought implants that come with the pants. Usually, as people age, their bladders can't hold as much ,especially if she's given birth to children. No amount of money can fix that. Personally if women got attention for looking good at their age ,she could age gracefully. It's sad because she's trying to keep up with the PLASTIQUES, the kardashians who have nothing real left. They look disgusting, all of them.

I believe its about minerals and supplements instead of inherited genes and its also about the tongue posture from childhood. Children who weren't breastfed usually have bad tongue posture and their skull and teeth do not develop properly. Their faces become disharmonious. It happens also to our bodies when we don't have enough vitamins while growing up. More vitamins and minerals, greater height and more balanced features we get. That is why many old people look fantastic when they are older.

So comforting to hear the opinions of men of what women are doing to themselves. On a personal note, I have struggled with having some kind of face lift as I have aged. After much thought and with the help of shows like this I came to the conclusion I was not going to fight aging. As you approach it fast it seems like a cruel thing as a woman. I used to be very attractive, so it is a huge loss to go from that to at best invisible. But I shall go forward and accept my new role in life as a grandmother and matriarch. As one commenter said "It is better to look old than weird". Anyway, I even like looking into the mirror and seeing my beloved grandmother once again. :-)

My mother had a facelift out of the phone book in some 3rd world while traveling. She has had multiple surgeries since to fix the fact, to no avail, that she cannot close her eyes at night. (too much skin removed) She now has to put salve in her eyes, wrap cellophane around her head and eyes and wear a sleep mask to keep them from drying out like raisins. JHC!! She can not get up and exit if there was an emergency until she removes all that shit. She is not a movie star. Women's vanity knows no bounds. I also started dating a gal about 6 months ago who unknown to me before hand (this was way before me entering the picture) went to Mexico with her sister (tons of women go there in groups to have surgeries done) and had Barriactric surgery. Mutilating her body and forever destroying the intricate system that nature developed over millions of years. She can only eat a very small amount at one time, but she is still heavy from the waste down and doesn't seem to have learned not to indulge in sugar and such. Very sad!

Madonna's whole social circle, management, publisher, record label, photographers, friends and associates (etc) - pretty much everyone she interacts with, will be constantly telling her she looks amazing, constantly massaging her ego, constantly feigning gasps of delight at her new look, or new outfit or new hairstyle, or how the lip filler is amazing or how her new single, video, tour, perfume (etc etc) is stunning . . . and she would have been treated like this since the 1980s, for 4 decades she's likely been treated like something approaching a god by 99% of people she interacts with, and that can really screw with a person.

There’s still the sexist idea that women have to be thin and even weak, that a muscular woman is ugly. I also don’t think taking hormones is an excellent idea, for both men and women, it brings lots of health problems. And in my opinion, as a heterosexual woman, I think when men get too muscular they don’t look well, they also look very artificial, sometimes as artificial as people with plastic surgeries.

I like her 90s music but it's heavily sound-engineered. Playing live, she just isn't that good. She ruined her looks in the early 90s from her drug use and the more she tried to get it back, the more she screwed herself up. Search on "Madonna 1988" and then search on "Madonna 1991". That was a rough 3 years, that was a bender that did permanent damage. In the later 2010s she would show up drunk to her own concerts 3 hours late, ramble on about her domestic problems, have a good cry, give a really half-assed music performance, and then leave an hour early. It's baffling that people would pay Streisand-prices to see that kind of pathetic display. I don't even understand how she had a career past 1992, that's when her stupid sex book and album Erotica completely tanked. It was so bad that she couldn't even tour on it, she was reduced to movie roles that were worthless (I liked the movie A League of Their Own but Madonna was a total non-player, her fans try to connect her to it being a hit movie but that's BS, she played the annoying birch-in-heat (which is exactly what you'd expect from her) and had about 3 minutes of screen time; the movie did well in spite of her, not because of her, that movie was all Geena Davis and Lori Petty).

He said it so well. “They look like older woman trying to be young, but they were still young. It doesn’t make sense.” My thoughts exactly. And it’s the most beautiful woman that does this. I always look at their old photos with their unique features and I actually cry for it to be gone. Because it was something special. It was YOU. Also removing facial expressions does something to you mentally. You become numb because you don’t see excitement, happiness or anything in your face and you get detached from your own self. It’s really sad

A perfect example of this is Megan Fox. Megan Fox was absolutely beautiful and young. And she hacked and slashed her face, and now she looks ridiculous.

Agreed. I recently watched a video on extreme plastic surgery, and all of the people were fairly stunning before the surgery. Very very cute, or pretty, and now they look scary to me... :/

@@JustMe-ty2rp it’s so sad. I’ve done everything so my daughters don’t fall into that. I make them learn how to love themselves and own the quirks that makes them unique and charming! Quirks are charming and makes some of your personality. Why erase what makes us Us. I don’t get it. I was bullied out of 8 different schools, on the road that I lived and again at home by my brother. I didn’t feel loved, wanted or even human at times. I have had body dismorphia most of my life. I even for many years dreamt of being a man. But instead of going with my superficial thoughts I went in deep for 15 years, soul searching and forming a person of value I would be proud of regardless of my looks. And then I started slowly loving my self more and more. Because I built something inside of me that took hard work and therefore it will last.
These quick paid fixes won’t fix any problem. Just move it to a new area of discomfort.
It’s a never ending process of trying to please a place in your heart that’s deeper than the skin and flesh. So no matter how much you change, the problem is still there within. And you’ll regret all the work you did to your car’s exterior when the engine was the one in need of repairs.
I want to be remembered for having integrity, being loyal, honest, loving, intelligent and open hearted. Not for looking “pretty” in leggings at 60 years old 😝🤙🏽
