    Cool vid🎥👍I saw one of these Champion motor graders the other day with its wing assembly completely detached. Service truck guy and operator didn't look happy:/

      MACHINES EVERYWHERE yeah I guess not, a lot of time wasted and you know how that saying goes! I havnt seen a grader dispatched with a serrated blade in over 10 years. These old champions are great

      @@burnuts007 They are nice machines. Definitely don't see the serrated edge blade often.

    Jeepers, I just assembled a blade with those rotating carbide inserts and they don't want them run vertically but on a back angle so they can rotate to normalize wear.

    Do you think these tips are carbide or steel or what??

    Does the city clean the ridge in the driveways or is up to the homeowner?

    • @burnuts007
      @burnuts007  5 років тому

      Allan Vaneste homeowner is responsible for cleaning up but in this case there was a backhoe cleaning up. I think maybe because of the windrow is a lot of ice but I could be wrong

  • @briangraham540
    @briangraham540 3 роки тому +2

    You do not have to tilt your blade with ice blades on as you r trapping the snow from coming off the blade ! Put the wing down and widen as u go !

      The reason why I'm asking it's not something the city does a lot especially in the core or the east

      Lauriaul it was Shearer Cres and Harmon way. Yeah This was a first in a long time for me so I jumped on it to film. The more I think about it maybe back in Nepean days was the last time.

    Why do they use the serrated blade?

    • @burnuts007
      @burnuts007  5 років тому

      Chaz Man in attempt to peel up some ice from the road. As well leaves a grooved surface for improved safety. We don’t see it used very often around here

    Tell thw city to use sharq edges. Much better blade than this

    • @burnuts007
      @burnuts007  5 років тому +1

      I’ve seen these before I think. The cutting edge is the actual holder now the this edge has a quick attachment?

    • @pags5zonda623
      @pags5zonda623 5 років тому +1

      @@burnuts007 yea, can change it on the go, the sharq actually does a bit of plowing as well not just cutting. Also cuts a bit better
