They actually did headline this show. You should watch it. Additionally, the bassists mom wheeled him out onto the stage after the third song and then she got crowd surfed to the sound sound booth about 200m into the crowd. It was awesome!
Great review as always. They were actually headliner in 2019. Production was low key on that song but they literally turn the heat up for many more songs. You can roast your marshmallows from 100m back
The bass player blew his knee out playing amateur soccer a couple of weeks before they were due to headline waken.. they had considered pulling out but they decided nope they’re going ahead.. the 2nd guitarist wrecked his knee a few years earlier and did a tour in a wheel chair as well
Thanks, sir, for the best reaction I’ve ever seen. Fkn A. I loved it! Fan of ParkwY. Fwiw…only go back in their catalog from here. It starts to get real bad…esp from what it was
I really like Parkway Drive. Some of the later albums have gone away from my style but the bandmembers are a bunch of awesome dudes and their concerts are awesome
simplicity can be great too. alot of there other song's have alot more melodic and complicated guitar riff's and alot of them are alot of fun to play. they dont really have alot of clean vocals in most there stuff tbh. especially there earlier stuff theres practically no clean vocal's
Heya DH! As a wheelchair user and disability activist myself, just a quick note, we prefer "Wheelchair user" instead of "wheelchair-bound" as the latter sounds like we're imprisoned in the damn thing, instead of able to have it as a mobility aid to give us the freedom we lacked without it. Okay, getting off my high horse, so to speak. 🤣 Great review, great song, really liked it, and really liked their crowd interaction. When you're at a show like Wacken, you've got a HUGELY musically knowledgeable crowd, and it doesn't surprise me that they were able to keep up with the guitar line singalong.

Always thought something parkway has done well throughout their career is their pace and cadence. They know when to go fast and when to slow it down.
Crushed from this same show goes hard af
He was in a wheelchair due breaking his leg in a surfing accident. Which is incredibly Australian of them😂
Parkway Drive - The Void (Live) is another great!!!

Thank you for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind.
@@THEDavidHeretic Of course! Thank you for being receptive.
The bass player ended up dying from tuberculosis, cuz he was gay.
Hope that cleared all that uncomfortable mess up.
