My favourite song of all time and took that title the day it was released. I bought the cd and rushed home to listen to it. Nothing from the album Lateralus had been leaked. I had waited 5 years for new Tool. This opens the album. I hit play and I'm left open mouthed. As soon as it finished I hit repeat and did that 4 more times before getting to the 2nd track. I don't think this song will ever be replaced as my #1. I've listened to this song thousands of times and still occasionally hear new bits I had missed before (or forgotten from age!). My version of a masterpiece
Dude, you are like the only person who has commented on one of the details I love most about this song... The "Bouncing Ball" sound that Danny creates on the drums as he slowly speeds up. It's really cool.
I DID say early do NOT TRY counting TOOL time signatures bro, it WILL DRIVE you insane!!! Think RUSH with a LOT MORE sub divisions. Carey and Peart are the two drummers who OWNED polyrhythmics!!!!
So the story on the interwebs is the scream is the first and only take. It was meant to go 29 seconds to represent the 29 years it takes Saturn to travel around the sun. But Maynard blacked out trying to make it there. Adam didn’t want to risk another take so they went with the 25 seconds.
I went a bunch of years in the 2000's where I didn't really listen to them, but then got back into them in the last couple of years. .I get the feeling you are about to go down a Tool rabbit hole. 😂

Can I kindly request Tool - descending. Pretty please. It's an awesome song.
I'll need a link so I watch the correct video
not sure how I got here but I've been watching your videos since yesterday and I'm really digging your Tool reactions!
Isn't UA-cam a wonderful and mysterious thing....
👏👏👏 Great reaction! 🤘 More Tool please! 😁
ahahaha I laughed out loud for the counting part at 5:30 :D :D ..that's what everyone does who understand music and plays an instrument :D awesome stuff!
WOW!!! One of the best reactions yet!!!!!
Yeah! Keep em coming! Check out that Salival Live Version of the song Pushit; even though it's live, it is audio only. I requested it with the link many, many videos ago. 😉 However, I can repost the link again if needed. I know you are a busy man. Tool never disappoints, they only grow and evolve with each album. This album Lateralus is their best, in my opinion, but I absolutely love every album of theirs. Seen them many times in concert. Absolutely love them. ❤
It's still in the que, working it's way up.
ive watched a million reaction videos to tool and Im going to subscribe to you becuase I can see that you feel what their music does to a person lol. I feel it too. Its insane. 16:54 that moment for me is insane.
Awesome reaction bro! Tool is awesome! Especially in concert!
Hey man nice review. I subbed for more Tool reactions. I'm a drummer that can cover a few Tool songs and it's fun to watch your musician head spin. You must do 7empist. But any Tool will blow your mind. Dig in to lyrics.. Pease from WA State!
Everyone keeps asking for that one, but no one has given me a link yet.
I go to these reaction videos to see people who know the guts of music so much better than me grind their brains to mush. Your knowledge and reaction is priceless to me. Musical orgasms.
Im glad I found your channel l. Tool is one of my top 5 bands. I have seen them live several times. You have a whole lot to react still and I cant wait for more, thanks for reaction to Tool.
Please try and react to the Band Nightwish " ghost love score" live at wacken is a good start. They're a metal symphonic band.
Already in the que, added your name to the requesters
Best reaction for grudge I’ve seen. Please do the album. I need to watch you break down the beats.
I subscribed because i love your Tool stuff
I love watching people discover Tool, lol. Please do more songs, there are plenty. 7empest is definately highly recommended.
Welcome in Tool's trip again. You still donvt know what to expect... I can only say: greatness!
Subscribed because I want to see the tool journey you are about to take. Keep going. You wont ever be the same. Once you get done dissecting the music...read the lyrics. They are half the equation.
