1 year later and this build helped me get over the steep learning curve. You are very smart at first glance petrified wood armor doesn't seem like much but it is actually so good due to its versatility. It has decent defense and allows swift action movements almost as if it is light armor. Quite strong. I tweeked it and switcher the helm out for the elite helm and using the thraun backpack. I really wanted the sweet sweet Stam recovery. Idk how people play magic builds I have such a difficult time using magic and even sword and shield I don't do eniugh damage and can't dodge enough. I guess it's just the dark souls in me
This build is very begginer friendly and also works very well on definitive edition with halberds and greatswords. What I do is also get basic skills for greatswords and halberds and switch it up depending on the enemy elemental resistances (as they are cheap). Spend 1 point in mana and later on Ancestors Memories for mana boost. I get all the elemental resistance boons and don't need to worry about elemental resistance potions afterwards. In combination with blue sand armor and boons you get nearly imprevious late game dps build.
Popular build but I have 3 questions. First - what will you do when your opponent attacks you first and does not allow you to get a distance to use boom skills? (often in dungeons). Bow drops out. You have one skill that you can use without booms. Second question - How do you fight when you have cooldown on skills? Boom cd is 500 seconds and the skill has something over 200 duration. Third question 3: 33-3: 40 why cut fight?
Hey Click4Gameplay. Love your content, keep up the good work. I thought I might share a build I made, and hopefully someone will find it useful. Heck if you like, you are free to use it on your channel. If you find it interesting at least. The build is a magic/melee hybrid. Breakthrough Points: rune mage in Berg, Shaman in Chersonese and warrior monk in Monsoone. Key skills/passives: all boons, reveal soul, fire sigil, all rune magic, runic prefix, focus, master of motion, sigil of wind Gear: Tsar set, light menders lexicon and tsar melee one handed of players choice Explanation: 1. Invulnerability to melee attacks Tsar set has a nice 68 physical resistance + 20 resistance from runic buff gives 88 physical resistance + 15 from the warrior monk passive. You are over 100percent 2. Very good elemental resistance Tsar set has innate 80 resistance to fire, but you can get fire boon to get it over 100. For every other element, boosted boon gives 30 resistance in a given element, +10 from runic buff and +15 from warrior monk passive. That gives solid 55. If you top it of with elemental resistance potion during tough fights, you are at 80 for every element. Which is extremely good. 3. Ability to do massive BURST DPS If you lay fire sigils on top of one another + sigil of wind, together with boons that add damage, you are able to melt anything in seconds. 4. Playstyle of choice. You may play more heavily oriented melee(since you are invulnerable against physical damage) or use magic more. But that requires consumables or sleep deprivation. Final notes: I have actually not tested the warrior monk passive (I hastily used my breakthrough elsewhere). Even though the build works perfectly fine, because it still has amazing defences and solid offence. Im pretty sure it should work with warrior monk passive for added defence. Tsar set is not a necessity as rune armor set in berg provides very nicely and is probably better for more magic oriented playstyle. Thanks for reading this as far as this :D
This is similar to my build but with no mana! Shamanic boon is op with rage, discipline and depending on what you’re fighting fire boon, lighting boon, etc. Solo’d every hard boss first try with the right preparation!
Great build, I prefer the shaman skill tree to the rogue one tho as it greatly boosts the 2 booms we use all the time (discipline and rage), also the wind infusion is in most cases the best infusion for a 2h build. This would require to put at least 1 point in mana but imo thats no big deal, especially with the extra 40 stam and hp with the hunter/monk passives.
so, interesting bit of info: i used my resources from my Mage playthrough to craft some Bluesand armor and a Tuanosaur greataxe for my 2hander character b4 he even left Cierzo the first time. when said character tried to leave the city with that axe equiped, the gate guard taught him Enrage instead of the Executioner's axe skill. I don't know if that was a bug or if the weapon itself affects what skill you gain for free that first time, rather than just the weapon type.
Yeah I had a similar incident, I started a second play through character and spilt screen dropped Yzans Greatsword from my first play-through and I received enrage while wielding it? Maybe it gives you enrage when you have a higher tier weapon than the starting weapons within Cierzo? Cool little trick tho
Is there a sort of battlemage playstyle you can go about achieving? I like my two handed and spells but I already spent a breakthrough point in the magic tree. Edit: actually I did not spend a point yet. I just gave up some stats for mana.
I did a similar build but with light armor and I recently swapped bow skills for greathammer and polearm skills to use the manticore hammer and crescent scythe. Could've used the axe but the scythe skill increases in damage with either rage or discipline boons. I also use the birdmask and desert boots for speed.
Wish the game had a weapon swap function with two separate skill bars tho. Only 8 skill slots kinda limits build options drastically, especially since we can't equip offhand weapons in our mainhand. Dual wield would be awesome as well tbh.
That's not what I mean with dual wielding tho, but yes you can wield a dagger in your off-hand alongside a 1h weapon in your mainhand. Problem is you can't equip mainhand weapons in your off-hand or off-hand weapons in your mainhand. No dual sword, dual dagger, dual axes and no pistol/dagger, chakram/shield combos e.g.
My pure melee build goes for max burst damage. Just Tsar Greataxe + Golem elixir + Dark Varnish + Levant buff to reach 126phys + 20 decay, Bird mask+master trader garb/boots, 110 bag, and you pretty much have max damage, all the inventory, and movespeed. Even though Tsar weapons have terrible attack speed you don't even need to use basic attacks since everything that isn't "boss quality" dies in a single perfect strike or a leap>execute or you can just dump the entire skillbar for the tougher rare enemies like Giants, Immaculates, Manitcores, Lightmender, or Shell Horrors.
I went this route but it's fairly underwhelming, the bleed takes too long (even with the horror bow) and you end up dealing most damage with your axe. It can be useful if ur in a bad situation and need to kite.
Stefan Lau The Decay damage on it pierce thru armor btw so that's why it hits so fucking hard. Only mobs that are resistant to it are undeads and mechs(that you'll face 1% of the time you just put a fire rag or something on it and voila) rest of the time i think that's the best 2H weapon in the game.
Hey C4GP, I left Cierzo without learning an ability from the guard. And now he only teaches a counter move for 2h sword. Is there a way to learn execute other than from him?
No, not from him. If you miss the chance to learn the free skill from him, the only way you can learn execute then is to visit the inn in Berg, and talk to the trainer with two swords. He can teach you execute for 50 silver.
Why take the aoe attack in warrior tree instead of the counter? Also why not start with the extreme bleeding bow shot? And instead of putting a potion on your bar, wouldnt it be better to have the discipline block on your bar?

This build is really neat. I'll be trying it on my next playthrough. I may go with guns rather than bow, but we will see.
perfect build video. I hope all your future build vids are as thorough and organized.
I don't like 2 handed weapons at all, but I can tell you what an amazing and explanatory build you did.
Good work, honestly.
your coverage about the game is awesome thank you very much
Awesome, thanks dude.
Very good video! Going to try that build out from scratch. Liked and subscribed!

What if I take piercing shot (for insane sneaky bow damage) instead of leap?

Ty for the video it’s a really cool build
can you make a tank build please. I really want to play with a shield and heavy armor.
Nice build.
Would you happen to be Latvian?
🤔
Sounds like The Yamiks......

The same thing goes for when you buy the giant key mace in Cierzo before talking to Burac. It probably isnt a bug but intended by the devs.
Thanks you
Im stuck between damage or 15% less
is the armor weight really affecting anything as long as you wear it ? or have you meant a -speed stat or something like that
Some armors have negative movement speed

Nexus has a mod that gives you a second set of quickslots. PC only, of course.
Yeah I was hoping for mod support, the game is perfect for it.
Hope we get more in the future.

Do you ever use Brace? It's not on your quick slot bar
Gothic 3 OST!
Whats the first armor set youre talking about? I cant seem to understand whats the name...Om light?
ammolite
GG made very same build. plays awsome
Is piercing shot also an alternative to sniper shot because of the bleed?

Didn't know you could back bar a bow or am i mistaken?
where do i find this grenn axe?
Stefan Lau watch ESO video on it! Just write ESO Worldedge Axe. One of the best weapons in the game.
@@top_deckz okay ty dude
