biggest problem with a lot of kpop fans is being blinded by their love to their faves so they just deny whats clear as day, this group needs more practice having stable vocals. it doesnt even have to be perfect or close to the studio ver. but they are honestly on a lower level compared to the other groups. i hope they improve because this group is honestly fun to support

This isnt even as bad because of the fans singing with them. The broadcast was a lot worse. My Korean coworker posted "Im having secondhand embarrassment " after they performed. I didn't understand at first but this is why.
I watched the livestream and was embarrassed that I had recommended their stage to everyone on both my instagram accounts. As a fan from day one, I was fully expecting to be blown away, Instead, I posted again saying that they were not at their best and felt the need to explain that some kpop idols cannot keep up with the choreo and also sing live. Sigh.

Dont get me wrong, I KNOW FOR A FACT that Yunjin is very talented. BUT, observing the performances, it was actually her energy that ruins it. It was all over the place. She needs to know when to peak.
Vocally, no they're not on par with other groups, that's a fact. But the performance was still great, they had fun, the crowd were hyped up, and it was a good time. All that matters is that people enjoyed it. This is a festival not a kpop concert. Also, their choreo is really challenging and none of it was made with live vocals in mind.

I didn't even know they were going to be at Coachella but I saw some people already saying how they were lacking. I didn't believe that their performance would be bad but I went to watch Blackpink's performance...there is a huge gap between the two performances. I would assume that they chose having a good time over having a good performance (singing and dancing) . It's not bad but it also depends if a person values a good time over a good performance. @@hobiiiswifey3624 actually I'm a fan since their debut hell I'm hoping they come back they have a ton of potential they have only been active for a little less than 2 years (AKA still rookies at least in my eyes) . This performance was to be expected which is why at least a section of people are upset that they were a part of a big festival like Coachella so early in their careers. I hope they come back to show their improvement in balancing crowd work and performance because I know they'll be incredible once they find that balance (don't know about the actual haters that aren't giving criticism or even acknowledging on what they did well in or just cursing them for their performance)

Let's be real: Sakura, in all their performances, was really stable and showed the most improvement. Yunjin, however, was the opposite, which is disappointing.
Yunjin here is vibing alot. She screamed. Thts why she failed to sing stable in some parts. But i do agree..yunjin has problem with holding the low notes stable.
I was looking for this comment. We already knew chaewon was the only one who could hold a note, but then Sakura came out being able to hold pitches relatively decent. Honestly a ton of improvement on her end.

I didn’t see chaewon shouting in this video. Live performances are definitely different from recording, especially this song with vigorous dancing. I don’t know if you have been to a concert or not? There’s nothing wrong to interact with the audience. I DO think that there are singers that can sing better than these girls, and I’d like to see anyone else sing and dance this song on live stage one day. First thing I noticed was how much Sakura has improved, dang! They honestly did better than I expected considering some prior live vocals I'd seen of theirs. I would assume they must've been practicing like crazy as they've improved but I think there is still room for further improvement. I agree with others that I don't think they were ready for such a big stage with a heavy focus on live vocals which is what a lot of people were saying before when they were announced to be at Coachella. That being said, they did a great job at hyping the crowd but watching this back on YT, it feels kinda flat and I don't really know why? It could've been better but at the same time I've heard Le Sserafim sound MUCH worse than this so they've obviously been working hard and it's paying off, I just think they need more time.

They've definitely improved and I think it's important to acknowledge that but they're also fairly lackluster when it comes to vocals unfortunately. I just think it's important to give positives as well as negatives - if we only focus completely on the negatives then it can come off as mean instead of constructive or as just giving an opinion if that makes sense.
You can’t really hear it here because people are screaming and singing along. But if you watch the Coachella livestream, you can hear them so well. All their singing mistakes are exposed😅
I have seen so much worst. I prefer spontaneity in live performances. It looked fun. This is a difficult song to sing live to. But I don’t think that they were awful at all. I’ll watch it again.

The reason why their whole performance are being hated/criticized/labeled as worst is because people are comparing them to blackpink, aespa, and ateez. If you only watch le sserafim it's definitely not that bad.
Honestly it’s kinda sad how Kazuha did the best and instead that good of a singer. Like the others did ok especially Eunchae but, I was shocked with Kazuha Edit: I watched the entire thing and they did great this was just one of the few bad stages they had
dont know why so many people are saying they were bad at singing. they did very well. and this song is keep going on low pitch, so originally it does not sound elegant compared to other high-pitch songs.
except Kazuha's part （0:42〜）and Eunchae's part (2:03〜） overall, they did so well. I think that just most people don't like the fact that a K-pop artist with a short career is on Coachella.

Seems like quite a lot of people have no idea how live performances are and how they sound. Go watch a band perform like at Glastonbury and you may well get an idea. These girls are not perfect they are not lip syncing , nor are there any voice enhancers/effects being used just pure rawness of how human voice sounds.
They had to sing above the crowd or you would not have heard them at all, it was not screaming, but projecting. They did amazing!!!!! Sakura brought her A game and I’m so proud of all the girls ❤
I notic3d many small thing's of them trying to fo there best and there choreographies need lot of energy and I really appreciate them for singing that good with choreography.

Honestly, not a hater but they shouldn't be performing at this show if they aren't up to standard. Look at Ateez for example. They have complicated and much more tiring dance choreos, but they still can sing steady while dancing. Here les went out of tune from the start of the song. Only chaewon is a bit okay.

It's so sad to see such talented girls be let down by their company, hybe needs to understand that they weren't ready for this stage and give them better training. This, the girls are talented, they were good on their debut and then suddenly on their last comeback they are clearly failing a lot which is a hint of something going wrong with them, i think their fans have to be worried about their company overworking them so much or their voices failing than hiding the fact that they are not okay

When so many video said that LSSFM embarrass kpop but the people in coachella actually loved the performance, I even heard one said "oh my god I love -" shows that kpop stan are so absorbed in the hate train. The performance was actually good here and the audience is enjoying them.

For those saying Yunjin's vocal, she did very well in other songs during this Coachella. E.g Easy This song may be a one time off, but she has never let down on her energy. She still did great! All of them did great!

I was very excited for their performances, then I read it was bad and decided to not even watch to not be disappointed. Then there were comments that it's not actually that bad so here I am. Yes, it's not good, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I also decided to go back and watch Blackpink's performance once again and they used backtrack for almost every song while Le Sserafim mostly sang without backtrack. Nerves, hard dances, some of the songs not suiting ANY of the girls voices - there's too many nuances for just saying they are bad singers. BUT I have to say that Sakura surprised me very much. Her voice is very stable and I haven't heard her sound that good like ever.
I think their charisma carried their lack of vocal stability in some parts. I’ll take it. I’d be there to have a good time and I felt like singing along too. Energy was great
People keep comparing them to BP… Couple things: 1. They have only been a group for a year 2. They have SUPER hard choreo compared to BP 3. They have very young members Personally - I thought for them still doing more of their moves- they did a great. I noticed Sakara slowed down her moves or didn’t dance as much to hit her notes & she sounded great! Breathing technique would be the biggest thing for them learn or have more calmed down choreo for the full on live But to me they sounded amazing & really kept the crowd going & engaged!

And if you expect artist to just stand there perfect, go watch MVs. Live shows are just like this. While watching the performance live on streaming I was AMAZED and wanted to get a ticket to see them ASAP. You’re hearing more of the backtrack for Sakura, Kazuha and Eunchae because they are quieter and generally have less projection than Chae and Yunjin (whether bc they are less confident or thats just how their voices are, or most likely they were instructed to do this). If you look at few different videos, you can evaluate more accurately

First thing I noticed was how much Sakura has improved, dang! They honestly did better than I expected considering some prior live vocals I'd seen of theirs. I would assume they must've been practicing like crazy as they've improved but I think there is still room for further improvement. I agree with others that I don't think they were ready for such a big stage with a heavy focus on live vocals which is what a lot of people were saying before when they were announced to be at Coachella. That being said, they did a great job at hyping the crowd but watching this back on YT, it feels kinda flat and I don't really know why? It could've been better but at the same time I've heard Le Sserafim sound MUCH worse than this so they've obviously been working hard and it's paying off, I just think they need more time.

They've definitely improved and I think it's important to acknowledge that but they're also fairly lackluster when it comes to vocals unfortunately. I just think it's important to give positives as well as negatives - if we only focus completely on the negatives then it can come off as mean instead of constructive or as just giving an opinion if that makes sense.

Seems like quite a lot of people have no idea how live performances are and how they sound. Go watch a band perform like at Glastonbury and you may well get an idea. These girls are not perfect they are not lip syncing , nor are there any voice enhancers/effects being used just pure rawness of how human voice sounds.

I was very excited for their performances, then I read it was bad and decided to not even watch to not be disappointed. Then there were comments that it's not actually that bad so here I am. Yes, it's not good, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I also decided to go back and watch Blackpink's performance once again and they used backtrack for almost every song while Le Sserafim mostly sang without backtrack. Nerves, hard dances, some of the songs not suiting ANY of the girls voices - there's too many nuances for just saying they are bad singers. BUT I have to say that Sakura surprised me very much. Her voice is very stable and I haven't heard her sound that good like ever.
I think their charisma carried their lack of vocal stability in some parts. I’ll take it. I’d be there to have a good time and I felt like singing along too. Energy was great

2. They have SUPER hard choreo compared to BP
3. They have very young members
Personally - I thought for them still doing more of their moves- they did a great. I noticed Sakara slowed down her moves or didn’t dance as much to hit her notes & she sounded great!
Breathing technique would be the biggest thing for them learn or have more calmed down choreo for the full on live

The show looks lit ngl. Those K-pop companies really created a twisted reality where people think that humans are able to sing and dance like this perfectly at the same time. But after this perfomance it changed to this :

You’re hearing more of the backtrack for Sakura, Kazuha and Eunchae because they are quieter and generally have less projection than Chae and Yunjin (whether bc they are less confident or thats just how their voices are, or most likely they were instructed to do this). If you look at few different videos, you can evaluate more accurately
