My 90D will never leave my camera bag. It's always my second camera at a wedding!
Most my work is being done on my 90d
In the process of buying a 90d, both videos helped in my choice. Thanks 👍🏻😁
I have never used the slow motion on my 90d. Stabilization is not that bad. You can walk and vlog with it easily, Casey N. did it with the 70d and 80d. I need to get out of my shell and do slow motion today.
“Probably forgot”
That’s me all day everyday. Forgetting something I was supposed to do 😂
Bought my first dslr, canon 90d in January 2023. Really enjoying it especially with sigma 150-600mm contemporary. Mostly pictures but I have tried 120fps. It is pretty good.
I was interested in the 90D when it was first released, but since I shoot with primarily full frame Canons, (Mostly RF's) I never got around to trying one out. I think you're correct and it's still a good camera to own in 2023. Cheers!
I have the Canon 60Da, EOS Ra. Both are for Astrophotography but they work fine for daylight also.
I still love my Canon 90D, right now I am making plans to get it serviced for the first time so as of now I am using the 80D for my photograpy needs, as soon as the the servicing of my 90D is complete I will be back out shooting.
Bought a 90D one week ago, love it.
I just purchased one from a friend and so happy, glad to have found your video!
Thank you great stuff. I love my 90D as well. Still learning how to use it.
I have yet to get this camera on release but I plan on getting this as my main camera with my current Canon 80D as backup.
hi Dan
enjoyed this video
I have 7D, 6D, and few weeks ago bought 90D
I do enjoy shooting with all 3 cameras, but 90 D stands out in all aspects
Hi Dan, I had one Canon 90d now I own two of them, Still love the quality of the photos they produce and the video quality is great I think as I use mine in natural mode, When I'm shooting slo mo I have my aperture down to f8 to get as much in as possible and then deal with focus in davinci....I agree the 90d is still super fantastic in 2023 and I think beyond....Apparently I also use the lumix s5 now and despite it been full frame the quality of the photos are no where near the quality of the 90d even with a sigma 20mm 1.4 art lens,' It does have some good features like the live composite mode but if it did not have this feature I would not of bought the Panasonic... Anyhow great video as always Dan and best 73s to you and the family from the u.k... 😊
As an owner of a S5, as well as Canon 5D Mark II, it is difficult to imagine in what way the 90D image quality is better than the S5. I assume you shoot in raw?
I just traded in my Canon M6 MII for a used 90D since the EF-M format is going the way of the dodo. As far as I can tell there will be plenty of EF lenses around for the foreseeable future. If I'm wrong about that somebody let me know.
What lens were you filming with?
Thanks
Hello friend... is it possible to have the guide lines on the screen while recording?
1300 photos with 1 battery vs 250/500 photos with R8/R7. Built-in flash is also convenient.
Thanks for the video reminding us of how great the 90D is!
Do you have any videos or other content on how to make videos look good when shooting at 24fps? I find myself really leaning into 60 because for the life of me I cannot get 24 to look good. It always looks so choppy, in particular when panning (60 looks smoother). And I have made sure to set my shutter speed to 1/50.
For context, I'm most interested in this for shooting home movies, handheld and very often moving the camera to look at different stuff.
I really want to step in the 4K of this camera, but the choppy look is so much distracting than it seems to be worth. But if there's a fix, that would be amazing!
Thanks again, Dan!
In my. channel there are many videos about how to make cinematic videos, this for example... ua-cam.com/video/aboQeKcC4Bg/v-deo.htmlsi=IedkD42cAbgfvrnD
Also, something very important is the software used to edit...if you use Davinci Resolve, Final Cut or Premiere Pro, make sure the timeline is 24fps and, of course the file you shot have to be 24fps...if you use iMovie make sure the first video-file you drop on the timeline is 24fps because in iMovie the timeline sets itself to whatever frame rate is the first file you put on it. Thank you for watching!
@@DanFrullani wow, great! Dan, thank you so much! I'm watching that video now. 👍
Great point on the editing software, making sure the timeline matches fps. FWIW, I'm noticing the choppiness in the "raw", original file before it even gets to the editing software.
Thanks again, Dan! Have a great day, sir.
Visioncolor makes better color profiles for canon than technicolor cinestyle. Same flexibility while not dogging your image and getting crazy amounts of chroma banding, learned this from trial and error with my canon 90d. Keep in mind it shoot in h264 8 bit 4.2.0 color space so it's not much flexibility to begin with. Best bet with the 90d is to get it all in camera as best as you can. But it is still pretty beast in 2023. Had mine for 3 years now and really getting into all its settings and quirks and ways to maximize it's potential now on year 3
make a video with the settings
I love my 90D
what lens were you using the this video!? Looks great!
Thanks! I was using the EF 16-35mm F/2.8 ii.
The image looks amazing!
The Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 & Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 are awesome lenses for my 90D.
If ur a wedding videographer the canon 90d can still make u SO MUCH MONEY
V good video, plz advice me best photo camera for wedding videography under 1500$ new or used one, plz reply.
The Canon R7...I use it together with the R6 for weddings and, in spite of being a crop sensor camera...it's just as awesome as the R6....even better sometimes (in 120fps for example...) and it doesn't overheat.
Hi Dan, with which camera and lens you shot your talking scenes?
I'm one of those people that want the latest and greatest, I just don't have the budget for it. "Wine taste, but beer budget". Right now, its almost a toss up between a used 90d and new r50. They both have their downfalls and plusses
Most of my work is done with the 90d , it's amazing camera
@@Dygo784 I fell in love with the 80d a few years ago and now I'm in love with the R5-C. After it's price goes down to around $1k I'll get it. For now I'm leaning towards the used 90d
Great video! May i know which lens was used in capturing the video towards the end. Thanks.
thank you sir!!
Most welcome!
Hi Dan, I'm an in-house English teacher for a tech company in LATAM, and I've started making talking head videos (using my 90D, of course) for educational purposes within the company. I have the 10-18 and 24mm STM lenses, a question for you: how can I use these wider-angle lenses without looking like an ogre in my videos? They seem to make me look even uglier than reality if that is possible.🙂 Your videos are cool, by the way.
Heyho, try to place yourself in the middle of the frame and step a bit more back. Ultra Wide angle lenses are not that good for shooting videos of people, because either you look far away or it starts to distort :)
Ok - for photography this is obviously not worth it because all you have to say is about video. And for Video there are much better options also, so … it is not worth it at all.
