The smart thing would be to stop paving everything over so water actually can get into the ground but living here in Florida I can say that's not going to happen because all the parking lots, new homes, buildings and homeowners pave 90% of the ground making all the rainwater then rush down the streets flooding all lower lying neighborhoods.
Before homes are constructed and purchased, there is a lot of flood zone information that anyone can access. That's why flood insurance is required in certain areas if there's a mortgage involved. There are NO guarantees that catastrophes won't happen.
People who live in Florida: there are homes created that are hurricane proof by a manufacturer called Del tek. I think that it’s probably safe to assume that if you live in Florida you’re going to have to invest in a house that can withstand these types of natural disasters. The problem is not enough. I was thinking it might.
no! sink holes happen when the water is drained from the aquifer
No overdevelopment and over consumption of water will
The smart thing would be to stop paving everything over so water actually can get into the ground but living here in Florida I can say that's not going to happen because all the parking lots, new homes, buildings and homeowners pave 90% of the ground making all the rainwater then rush down the streets flooding all lower lying neighborhoods.
SAVE THE ANIMALS 😵😵😵😵😵😵 the animals are helpless, RESCUE THOSE ANIMALS AT ALL COSTS.. 😵😵😵😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😳
Before homes are constructed and purchased, there is a lot of flood zone information that anyone can access. That's why flood insurance is required in certain areas if there's a mortgage involved. There are NO guarantees that catastrophes won't happen.
That sucks.
I hope everyone is well
and ok
People who live in Florida: there are homes created that are hurricane proof by a manufacturer called Del tek. I think that it’s probably safe to assume that if you live in Florida you’re going to have to invest in a house that can withstand these types of natural disasters. The problem is not enough. People are advocating for round homes on stilts. You’re gonna have to raise the house up 16 to 18 feet 🦶 off the ground if you want to live in such a volatile state with weather. 😢
420 and ipa
Praying for everyone else is okay
OMG.. Life is no match for nature..praying that every home owner recovers living conditions..vehicles..jobs..and resources to help them🙏🙏🙏

Greed greed greed trying to make room for all these northerners that just continue to flock here and are will to grossly overpay for these homes. They are ruin8ng Florida

From Friday to Monday on my rain gauge we had 11” in Bradenton Fl off 26 th st Bayshore Gardens area.2 1/2 inches one day within 1 hr.Thank God no flooding in this area .feeling bad for the rest around us tough
As an architect hoping to retire to Sarasota county, this angers me at the stupidity of the county and city for caving to developers and not even do the basics to elevate homes. Unprecedented, but not unknown. And they ruin it for everybody, because now the insurance just gets that much worse.
You better move to the midwest if you wanna survive.
hey now. just let the free market sort it out. that's the best way. regulations are basically communism. Developers must be free to make the biggest possible profits.
It's right there in the bible. blessed are the profitable for they know how to shuck and jive.
It's worse than you could imagine. Greed runs building code planning
Look at Ocala and Mt Dora
Thank you for the update. New York! DACA 🙏
In this situation , are the toilets working? How is the drinking water? Is there contamination?
And there's still a lot of hurricane season left. Could get hit again.
I have family near there. It’s horrible! I was in the hot ocean water in Venice beach 4 th of July and I knew it was coming. And the water was my concern. This is really bad. Prayers for everyone in that area.
Have a happy time guys!!! LA la la happy happy happy
Tell me if I’m wrong but won’t be gators be out of the creeks into the yards around homes?
Good eating.
gators are scaredy cats. If you just make eye contact with them 9/10 will rush back into the water and scoot.
they are more afraid of us than we are them. Been there a million times fishing and on rope swings. They always take off like a rocket if you dont run or swim away in fear.
@@jonnie2badtry it jump into a lake full of them u better not b scared. And i dont wanna hear no more shitt outta u
@@randy1228lol i wana see u swim with them. Tough guy behind a pc huh
Praying for everyone effected by hurricane Debby.
Omg and that was just a drive by tropical storm.
Desantis has done a fabulous job getting my town help , out of state power people , fema disaster relief , National guard , etc . We are in NCentral Fl.
Yeah and maybe you’ll finally see some of the money his wife collected for the hurricane…I heard they never turned a bunch loose.
And all those resources require nothing more than him giving the word to set the departments in motion…FEMA is federal….not state.
Ummmm, sure you are Bot.
Exactly why is that Repuke getting FEMA aka Welfare. F*cking hypocrite.
People move to Florida so they can wade in the knee deep tropical weather. I don't like flooding, so I made sure my house would be above the local high water mark and that there was adequate drainage. Going on 35 years, and so far so good.
That pool of water near the camels is heart-shaped, anyone notice that? ❤ ❤ ❤
Praying for those who are dealing with all of this. So much weather related catastrophes lately. Why?
Global warming & building where it shouldn't be allowed
😮need to pump out thevwater & dig a way out for the outfliw.Good luck
Refer to howard kunstlers' book " The Geography of Nowhere" written 30 years ago with plenty of warnings. People never learn.
I Read NO book On It But have been saying This for Over 15yrs NoW. Nobody Listened and would look at me like I was Crazy and I would look at them the same. It will Get A Lot WorSe FoR Us, I find that HuMaNs Are Not Preventative , They Just wait For it to happen being FullY AwaRe.

Oh yeah, I didn't think of that - not living in a southern state myself. I hope people are careful and thinking about that. This is terrible for the south and east.
Hey Everybodey This is so sad to see. From Norway
New developments that should of never been built. Now national flood insurance get to pay and all our premiums will go up.
Maybe it's just me getting older but these meteorologists look like they're still I high school 😅
This water will have to evaporate. That'll take weeks, IF, it stops raining
