- I got the cheapest kayak I could find on the market which was the Intex Challenger K1 Kayak. I made a review of how it did so that you can find out if it might be what you are looking for in an inflatable kayak!

Im 6ft and yes the footbox area is tight on my feet. But I turned the green spacer on edge to push up the top more and create a bit more room.

I was out today in high winds. If your strong and use the skeg you would be surprised. It's pretty aerodynamic.

I just received it yesterday. Actually bought 2. The first one - valve labeled 1 was defective - air leaked. Bought it via amazon and returning it for a replacement. The 2nd one inflated without any problems. I took it out on my lake and I LOVE IT. My purchase price was $67.99 from $107.99. I did not use the foot rest as I really really enjoyed putting my feet in there and felt cozy and even felt like I was one with the float. The only problem I will say is taking the air out was a total pain the a**! I just couldn't get all the air out and putting it back into the bag was not so easy for me. I am sure as I continue to use this I'll keep figuring out a better way to get all the air out. I weigh in at about 207 and I was very very comfortable in it and it held me really well. 😁

for the tall one, you inflate it in two part, so the top part, if you wanna more room, you can take a bit of air from the top part, its does leaves more place for the legs ;)
I wonder if it makes more sense to shove the wedge facing up and down
I've tried that a few times. It does work for a while until it slips for me haha, but knock yourself out!
considering this as a starter kayak! the price makes its easier to give it a chance :) no former experience in kayaks, only boats and canoes.
edit: i actually bought this one! and it has worked well so far, no problems. just what i excepted. and for the price, i say its worth it! i even put it in my backpack and went for a ride on my bike to a lake with it. 12-13 kgs isnt that heavy, so its very portable!
Yeah give it a shot! As long as you have a life jacket and you can swim, you’re good to go!

Yes I still have it. It works well for me.
I wasn't lucky with this model. Bought one from Amazon, it was not symetrical when inflated. Had a bigger belly on one side than the other. Was kinda out of balance when on the water. BRought it back and send to Amazon to trade for another equal model and it was in a worse shape. What was strange was the tension it got in that "belly" when the rest of the top volume wasn't that hard. So it blew up before I even got it on the water. Very frustrating. So I lost my trust on the model and returned it with my money back. But looking at your video made me think I was really unlucky...
That’s really unfortunate. I haven’t had that problem with mine, but it also can’t work for everyone. I’m sure there’s another model that will work for you!

Yes most likely, but for safety I would not recommend that.
Also would be risky because of risk of puncture from the nails

Do you really need that inflatable part that goes in the front? What is the point of it?
Technically no. It’s meant to increase the legroom by raising the netting area on top. Sometimes I just store stuff underneath and let my legs sit on top because that can be more comfortable.
@@AmanLuthra TY. I’ve always used it thinking it was for balance or something like that. It does take away from the leg area.
It's also for extra buoyancy at the front to aid lift over less than very calm waters.
I must have gotten a defective one from Amazon because it won't fully inflate and the skag has scrapes on it. Also, it didn't come in the manufacturers box.
That’s unfortunate. I don’t know if it was used or not but you may need to get a fresh one if you really want it

@@AmanLuthra I have 2 hard shell kayaks, one in S. FLA one on a lake in the mountains of NC, my friend just purchased an inflatable tandem, so am curious how difficult it is to inflate and set up 🤔
@@susanwillmore754 I don't think it is difficult at all. It only takes me about 10 minutes to do so. I'm sure you won't find it hard either!
