I assumed that 'Evil' is not the kind of show I would watch. But when I learnt The Kings, the people behind The Good Wife and The Good Fight are the creaters and writers of the show, I decided to watch it. And... Oh my god. The show is goddamn awesome. I've been recomming this to people. Trust me, this is not your run off the mill solve-a-crime-an-episode show nor does it spend 30 minutes of its 45 minutes showing people being angst (looking at you Outcast) making you yawn. Things keep happening, characters experience things and plot keeps moving forward while keeping you invested in the characters.
I was set to watch the show just because of Katja but fell in love with the storyline. This is my most favorite New show since HTGAWM & Scandal came out. I’m so addicted to this show - the hour run time (but really is 45mins) jt seems more like 10min. I’m “hanging in the balance” every week.

So I DVR'ed the entire first season and binge watched it over the course of a week or so. My wife and I just finished it last night. I must say that I wasn't expecting it to be so good. I was basically blown away. You just don't get a lot of genuinely scary, gritty stuff on Network TV, plus all the dysfunctional family stuff made it down to earth and not over the top. It is very well done. The kid actors in the show are talented. If you want a comparison, think "X-Files" with a lot of family dynamic thrown in. Or the recent "The Haunting of Hill House" with demons instead of ghosts. There are a couple of throw away episodes, but the majority of it is great. Better than "Emergence" and "Prodigal Son" which are the other three series that it gets lumped in with from this past Fall's debuts.
They should interview the kids who played the Bouchard daughters too.

Hands down one of my favorite shows…it truly makes you think about the whole Good and Evil struggle in our daily lives.
Michael plays Leland so well! It's so interesting to see Katja work as a Psychologist, too, because I'm a Psychologist!
