Auguston farms now has a big container of freeze dried all natural green and red bell peppers all you have to do is rehydrate them takes a little less prep time
My Dad would give us tortilla chips on the side and we’d add lots of grated cheese to put on top of it; or sometimes if there was time, my mom would make cornbread and we’d eat it with it . 😋
Hi Danny. I love chilli but I’m a Texan and have to omit the jalapeño ( because I can’t handle anything spicy) but All of us make or eat chilli here . Just a note though, that was too overboard on the pepper ( plus it’d make people sneeze too) and cut down on the salt ( for those of us who have blood pressure issues too). I’d cut down on the onion and I’m allergic to basil but I could use thyme or rosemary for it . 😋👏❤️
In the Fall/Winter, I always add the tiniest dash of cinnamon to my turkey chili. You should try next time! It really makes the already amazing turkey chili just taste a little bit festive (for lack of a better word)...or seasonal. That's a better description, sort of. lol Love these cooking videos! Thanks for sharing your recipes!
Old Southern Saying for a good meal... "You put your foot in it!" Well, he was in up to his knee w this. I modded it but this is my new go-to recipe for chili! Thank you Daniel!
I remember a diet plan I was on and I used to make white chicken chili. I don't believe I've ever had turkey chili, but I need to try it, it looks SO delicious, Danny! You're an amazing cook! 🥰👍❤
I love to use a seeded charred poblano or 2, 2 small serrano peppers, and a seeded jalepeno, along with green, red, yellow, and orange bell peppers. Most of the peppers I use are more flavorful than hot. I think the serranos give the most heat. My family loves chili, but we don't go crazy spicy. All the dried spices are the same ones I use, but I add smoked paprika. A little extra smokiness and body, gives it that little extra Umph!
You always make me laugh and my kids always look at me like I've got two heads because they don't get the humor of goofballing in the kitchen. By the way you should get a dinner bell or gong... a big one.
Cold weather? Living in Miami or not you're STILL wearing a tank top! Or is the dance break to stay warm? LOL 😂❗Your partner Hulkie 🐶 trying to help was cute! I'm looking forward to trying your recipe, a milder version though with ground sirloin. I'm also going to try it with turkey later on.
Hello from Australia. I can't wait to try this recipe. It looks "fantastic" :-) Thank you @Danny Wood. Perhaps you could use a teaspoon to put the herbs in the pot so that the steam from the pot doesn't clump them together when you try and shake it in from directly above the pot.
Looks good!! Im from New Mexico so im used to a way different style of chile. Can't wait to try this! Thanks for all you and the wood crew do! My daughter and I love watching your videos!! Love you!
I use Elk Burger for Chili for my recipe and I put Poblano chili and Jalapeño and I put the mix sweet peppers and Onion and garlic of course and all the spices but I add Mexican Stew tomato's and Dice tomato's and whole can of tomato's. my beans I make real bean i can put can Pinto beans
I do the same thing when adding ingredients and spices. Add then put away. I don’t usually add pepper though - well not green pepper. I use jalapeño instead.
Thank you again Danny and family! I love chilli. I don't normally use peppers in my recipe, but I think I'll try that next time I make it. I usually mix everything in a crockpot and let the flavor soak up everything. The turkey usually is awesome after the soak. 😁 Have a great week! ❤️😁
I like freezing half for later. I always make way too much. Won’t lie I make like triple what he’s got in his pot lol 😂. But I’ve never seen a squeeze tube for tomato paste 🤔. I need to check that out. And those are the cutest kitchen helpers ever.
I am not into the Coney sauce either I love the way you made it because it is the right way to make it similar to the way my mom made it . The spices help with arthritis yes they do the vegetables too all healthy good for nerve pain too truth
my mom taught me a recipe similar not like this but she taught something like this pretty close I would cut up two tomatoes but add a can of diced tomatoes with basil it gives it a little bit of sweet with the spice different but it worked pretty well
I love turkey chili! Looking forward to trying Danny's version. I'm sure my daughter (profile pic, baby 🤖) will love it even more if it's ♥️ Danny's ♥️ recipe lol.
I had to laugh at myself on this one. I thought turkey chilli how interesting. Only to realize as I watched, I have been using turkey instead of ground beef for years. Duh😜
As with any recipe, add the recommended spices, which are put into the recipe itself that can be downloaded on Danny’s website. Many chefs ‘layer’ their spices. All of that is up to you- but Danny suggests adding AT LEAST the suggested amount prior to tasting and then adjust from there. -Andi
Danny you need to enter the Chili cookoff in Belleville Illinois the big thing is you have to set up a booth sell chili all day and also have you chili judged but you have to cook it over a fire too with a very very big pot cooking outside but I know you can do it to well raise money for cancer research
Hi Danny, I’m Rachel 😊 Do you prefer to cook & eat turkey than chicken ? Any reason for that ? I noticed you often use turkey meat in your cooking show.
Dogs in the background: "DAD'S AT IT AGAIN, TALKING TO THAT WEIRD BOX!" lol..

Turkey chili is the chili that well keeps on giving
I enjoy changing up my chili recipes. Haven't tried turkey chili yet, but will soon. Thanks Danny for letting us share a part of your private life.
Oh wow, great idea for the checklist following the recipe❤

I do eat chili without beans but that usually is good👍😎
I always listen to music when I'm cooking. It makes it so much more enjoyable.
Learned SOMETHING thanks Danny about infusing flavors using the broth and little oil as you cook away 😘🥰🤩 you're such a neat cook 😉
It looks delicious. Can you FedEx a bowl for me? Hulk looks adorable in the background. Love Chance hairstyle.
I made turkey chili last night. Great minds think alike. God bless
Danny I have culinary skills degree and as I watch you cook your chili ppl would think that you attended a cooking school 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
I make cornbread to go with my chili. I want to make this.
Your family is wonderful Danny Wood 🤖♾❤

I could watch you cook all day... but Danny I swear if you added anymore salt and pepper in that food I was gonna scream haha ...❤️
Music and cooking go well together.
This was FANTASTIC lol

Ooh love chilli xx
Vou fazer para o almoço ...te amo Danny 🇧🇷🇧🇷🌹
Another great episode!!!

Looks so yummy! Perfect for this cold, snowy NY weather! How cute is Hulk?! Do you ever feed your dogs anything that you make?
Hey Danny!!!

Have you ever Used Tabasco sauce in any of your cooking recipes
Really awesome recipe..i make similar with beef and i put in a dish and put mash potatoes on top and bake for about half an hour
I do with my chili I make my own tomato salsa then add that in I am a spice type person big on the spices
Looks so yummy!! I love making chili especially when it’s cold out like 50’s ❤️❤️
This looks delicious Danny. I think I'm gonna try this for dinner tomorrow. Love you always x
I am not into the Coney sauce either I love the way you made it because it is the right way to make it similar to the way my mom made it . The spices help with arthritis yes they do the vegetables too all healthy good for nerve pain too truth
Ooh I’m cooking this Thursday love chilli never had it with Turkey before looks very nice 👍 thanx danny lovely xx
my mom taught me a recipe similar not like this but she taught something like this pretty close I would cut up two tomatoes but add a can of diced tomatoes with basil it gives it a little bit of sweet with the spice different but it worked pretty well
Your pot on the stove is so wobbly! 😄
It was warped! 😂 He has since replaced it. -Andi
Spices hard to get out ? Time to replace, to much humidity in house. Chili looks wonderful
I love turkey chili! Looking forward to trying Danny's version. I'm sure my daughter (profile pic, baby 🤖) will love it even more if it's ♥️ Danny's ♥️ recipe lol.
Love Chance's sweatshirt! Where is that from?
“Yes, Professor! 👏🏻🤗😬🤫
“You can add beef, pork, bison etc” OR vege ground, different types of beans to make it vegan/vegetarian 🌱
Let’s cover all bases 💛
Exactly! Which is why we put etc. That inference covers meatless options as well. -Andi
I was surprised by bison... It's not readily available here but I might try it!
@@RN4u2 There are a few great companies in Montana and Wyoming that allow you to order online! -Andi
🌟
my mom would use two types of beans red ans kidney I would put jalapenos and green chili a little bit of white wine
My mom does the same with the two beans. She also puts in some brown sugar for a more of a sweet taste to it.
Hello Danny merci pour cette recette super bon 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🇫🇷 Nelly Pyrénées
my mom is looking down right now from heaven saying just like my recipe but I enlisted my youngest to do most of the chopping and preparation
Can you use a heavy cream instead of olive oil in the pot?
You should play New kids on the block music.👍
chili and tortilla chips or you can save leftovers and take some rice and have burrito night
I love Heavy Cream. 😍
Im gonna have chili today
Donnie's brother for the Brats for Oktoberfest you with the chili yes that is doing it
I had to laugh at myself on this one. I thought turkey chilli how interesting. Only to realize as I watched, I have been using turkey instead of ground beef for years. Duh😜
This looks amazing! Can't wait to try it! Question: why put the spices in a few different times vs all at once? Did I miss why?
To be clear I don't mean afterwards to find out how it's blending, I mean earlier on before any taste testing is going on
As with any recipe, add the recommended spices, which are put into the recipe itself that can be downloaded on Danny’s website. Many chefs ‘layer’ their spices. All of that is up to you- but Danny suggests adding AT LEAST the suggested amount prior to tasting and then adjust from there. -Andi
🤪Why did you make that face when you make the chili beans just asking
Danny you need to enter the Chili cookoff in Belleville Illinois the big thing is you have to set up a booth sell chili all day and also have you chili judged but you have to cook it over a fire too with a very very big pot cooking outside but I know you can do it to well raise money for cancer research
need a triangle like the old days
Hi Danny, I’m Rachel 😊
Do you prefer to cook & eat turkey than chicken ?
Any reason for that ?
I noticed you often use turkey meat in your cooking show.
Your chili is almost identical to mine. Just a couple differences.
We use Alexa to announce that it's dinnertime, so we don't have to yell over and over. 😊🍲❤️
