    Thoughts?

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  11 місяців тому

      In such a scenario where you intend to shoot the entire sunrise, you might be better off utilizing "Time Lapse Video" as oppose to "Night Lapse Video". Try out the settings + tips that I mentioned in this video!

  • @kiyotoishii4833
    @kiyotoishii4833 3 роки тому +1

    Thanks for the tips! I know now why you didn't lock the exposure for sunrise timelapse. I've decided to test it out this morning and mine was burned out when I locked the exposure to a building while the sun was coming up from the horizon🤦‍♂️

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 роки тому +1

      hey Kiyoto, thanks for the feedback! yeah it takes awhile to get use to it. but it is super useful to have your exposure locked. esp for sunset, i'd recommend to have your exposure locked to the SUN - that way you'd have a really nice & clean sunset. but like i always say, no right or wrong! depends on what you prefer!

    Great Video. I totally agree 99% of tutorials say fix shutter and white balance . How does that make any sense ( unless you are using a Mirrorless or DLSR & are shooting manual pics ) But if you are using a GoPro or smartphone. Sunrise for example starts off Dark and when the sun comes up it just blows out your exposure.. I agree with You Auto shutter & WB... Nice video

    Your vids are on point now...👌🏻 btw... why do you use the 4:3 ratio???.. isn't 16:9 the standard ratio???

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much Brett!! & that's a great question. 4:3 is essentially capturing a much "larger" frame that 16:9. & 1 of the main reasons why i shoot in 4:3 for timelapses is that it allows for more room & flexibility to keyframe or crop to your preference - as you see in this video! hope that helps!

    I have the Hero Black 11, I was testing the 240fps slomo inside my home around different lighting. I have found that I am getting a horrible light flicker in the slomo video, on the screen and when played back elsewhere. If you play it back normal speed there is no flicker, the moment you play it in slomo the flicker is back. Is there a way to fix this? or is this happening due to florescent lighting being around? And if it's the type of lighting, is there a way to stop the flicker around lighting.

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  Рік тому

      hey man! yes the quick fix will be to try and toggle anti-flicker on your GoPro. Switch from 60Hz to 50Hz - depending on the region you are in the lights operate at a different frequency.
      Open your camera preference, general > anti-flicker > 50Hz
      alternatively, introduce "more light" to your environment to reduce the flickering.
      Hope that fixes your issue!

    any settings to prolong battery life? for your timelapse you dont change battery?

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  3 роки тому +1

      Well, by increasing the interval you’d be able to shoot a longer duration. Alternatively if you really need to shoot an extended Timelapse- you can plug the GoPro into an external power source. Hope it helps! & yes- all the time lapse here was shot on a single battery

    Hi Ron, big fan here. Question, why not use ISO 100 max? Wouldn't you get less noise?

    • @AdventuresofRon
      @AdventuresofRon  2 роки тому

      Thanks Tom! That't true- however, if you're intending to capture low-light situations such as stars etc... ISO 100 might not be 'sensitive' enough to capture it.

    • @NoneYaBidness762
      @NoneYaBidness762 Рік тому

      Not to mention the changing ISO setting as it gets dark, bumps the exposure up.
