Just curious as to why you didn't assemble the riser prior to placing the mounting plate? You wouldn't have to be over the waste and you don't take the chance of dropping tools and screws down in the waste. Also did any of the tape on the inner circle hit the tank top to seal it?
In retrospect that would work, don't know why I did it the way I did. First time I guess. The tape is pretty thick and it hit the tank top almost all the way around.
Great video. I would have gone with the 6" riser so the lid is a little closer to the ground.

I think I would have used caulk, in addition.

Do you know the dimensions of your square lid that was removed? I have an 18 x 18 square lid with about a 25.5" diagonal.
I believe those are the same dimensions as mine.
What kinda of screws did you use? Will they hold up over time?
I used stainless screws, I made sure they were us made so I'm pretty sure they are good quality.
