  • Detroit based certified auto appraiser Jason Phillips made 100 MPH in this 455 HO numbers matching M-22 rock crusher 1971 GTO. For sale, the same owner since 1977, it sports original low mileage with a very solid underbody, and is frame up restored.. Both PHS and on-site verified as a true number's matching VIN correct drive train. Little sister of the GTO JUDGE with identical drive trains, the H.O. cars we're just as scarce in production as the Judges. With only 476 HO's produced, coupled with only a small sample built as M-22's in this configuration, it is indeed very rare! Asking $48,500.00 810-691-2664.

      There was nothing like those 60-70 muscle cars.My very first car was a 68 GTO. The torque that car had was incredible.It would pin you to the seats in first and second gear with a turbo 400 automatic with the HIS and Hers (DualGate) shifter!!!!

    I saw an '72 GTO with the original paint at a ConcoursDElegance show that i judged muscle cars at back in July and it was in such good shape, i thought it was restored. It even had the original dealer decal (fully intact) on its shiny factory bright orange paint job. It almost won an award.

    Nothing like a Poncho power, friend of mine had a 69 convertible 4 speed Lemans, 350/330, awesome sleeper, full PMD wheel covers, white letter tires dual exhaust, manual steering and brakes, beautiful whit interior black console Hurst 4 speed shifter, white convertible top, deep green exterior, that thing was unreal, no one saw it coming, or heard it till that 4 barrel opened up, and those duals started to sing, and by the time you figured out you'd been had, we been gone, with a nice 8 track tape playing

      daniel keener, I remember my 64 Goat convertible with a 421 Super Duty, dual quad factory installed engine. It had the McKellar #10 solid lifter NASCAR CAM! It had a Super T-10 4-speed and 4.88:1 Safety Track rear end! It used to run consistent 12.2 second times at 120 mph on the track or street. More than a match for that 70, 455 Goat! It was only one of way less than 100 cars like it!

    Hey guys, thanks for the video.....love the 71-72 G.T.O 'S......only disappointment for me , was the chrome wheel mouldings and rear factory spoiler was missing......But a real nasty sounding classic , absolutely beautiful car.......Back in 1988 I was working for a Chevrolet/olds dealer, and the owners son, went to Georgia and brought back a 1971 455 H.O G.T.O judge.....the car was mint inside and out, black with a black vinyl roof and black interior ......The judge stripe package was two tone orange and red on the fenders and quarter panels......All the paper work came with the car showing it was an original car and not restored .......The factory rear spoiler was on the car, and the mileage at the time was showing 66,000 .....It also had the rally2 rims with the chrome trim rings......Later on that summer of '88, they put the car in the show room of the dealer , and the son was asking $ 18, 500.......It was worth ever bit of the asking price, it was basically brand new .

    Pontiac never used the term "LS5". No such engine for Pontiac exist. Pontiac never made a big block either, all blocks were the same size, bore and stroke differentiated the cubic inches.

    • @jackmehoff4613
      @jackmehoff4613 4 роки тому +1

      Some folk refer to the "large journal" engines (421, 428, 455) as big blocks but you are right, other than that they're basically all the same.

  • @TBullCajunbreadmaker
    @TBullCajunbreadmaker 5 років тому +2

    He wasn't pulling into that station just to drop the guy off, believe me. If you own a car like this then I would have to assume that gasoline prices for hi-test for the big block isn't going to be an issue for you. The only issue would be that the gas tank seems to be a little small, but that would mean that 24 gallons of gas is a small tank. I remember when this car was bought new that hi-test was about 38-40 cents/gallon. Well , now it's approximately 10 times what it was back then so you do the math. At anywhere between 8-12 MPG, depending upon right foot pressure, you will get lots and lots of enjoyment and fun in the car. I should know, I'm quite experienced with the HO 455 but that was way back then, I think I would go broke now if I had to buy the gas for this monster, but I would go down with a smile on my face and blue tire smoke in my lungs. What a rocket ship.

    Why don't most of these videos ever show the car with different angles from the outside while it drives by???

    I don't think the speedonmeter or the tach is working right.

    Very nice GTO. Is the car still available? What is the asking price? Is there a site with the pics and more info?

    I almost bought one for $3500 back in 1979. Exact same car but a litter color. I still regret not buying it. I passed because the owner was a jerk....my mistake.
