Great video. I think this year has been so much more interesting. In the past experienced players often chased value early, then loaded up all the top players. That quickly became the template and was hard to beat. But this year that strategy can't work since if you want Haaland and Salah you are limited in other choices. Plus popular model choices like Eze, Bruno, Nkunku didn't deliver.
Yup, it's looking like a really interesting season and I'm super excited about it. Hopefully we get some more diverse teams as the season goes along. People will treat their transfers very differently and we'll get more variation in teams, even among the X/Twitter/Hub/AI template crowd as well. Plenty of ways to play this season and I'm all for it!
@@TheFPLScope totally agree. Thanks for your response. I think a no-Haaland team could be viable once their game against Southampton is over. But risky of course. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
54 isn't too bad, there's some wildcarders out there that didn't even reach 40 points. Palmer is nuts, was planning on getting him in gw12 but he's gonna be 11 mill plus by then.
Yeah, decently happy with my GW and GW7 looks phenomenal. I don't really regret my decision. Palmer will definitely be more of a template pick soon enough. I'm keeping cool for at least the next 2 GWs though.
How much money ITB do you have to replace João Pedro with? I personally don't think it's too much of an issue to carry JP on the bench until he's fit, which shouldn't be too long. For around the same price, you could look at the likes of Liam Delap, Iliman Ndiaye or potentially Evanilson if you have a little more funds, but like I said, won't be long until JP is a commodity again, Congrats on a huge GW score btw!
@@TheFPLScope Thanks! Still have 1.1 itb, it's either Pedro, ESR or Nedeljko to be replaced/upgraded for the next 5gw. I'm still keeping them all this week though, hopefully not price drop anytime soon.
For a 4th defender I'd definitely say Mykolenko, but if you are just looking to save costs and not play them too much, I'd probably lean towards Van den Berg. Depends a little on your tactics. SVDB could be a sneaky good asset the next few weeks if he keeps playing, which is looking more and more likely. Everton look a lot improved with Branthwaite back though.
You really hit the bullseye with those differential defender picks, impressive!
@@Martin-dl8hc Hah, yeah. Shame I didn't pick any of them myself 😅

Got 80 this week with non-Haaland draft, feel pretty sweet after enduring the past 5 GW. Just need to find Joao Pedro replacement now... :v
