- Fire Light hydrangea is in its prime right now. The Summerific Hibiscus are beautiful as well. I always love to give a tour around my home garden especially when the panicle hydrangeas are showing off.

Heidi all I can think of watching this is Mr Rodger’s. I’d love you for my neighbor! I’d never tire of looking at your most beautiful yard and Home. 😊❤
Couldn't agree more
Awe that is so sweet
You sold me on the Firelight hydrangea and I thank you. It's very small but hoping it will be as beautiful as yours some day.
You are going to love it!
I have Fire Light and Fire LIght Tidbit hydrangea in my gardens and just love them!!!
Thanks Heidi for sharing your stunning garden!! I definitely need alliums, hydrangeas, and sunpatients. So beautiful!!
You will love them!!
Must. Have. Fire Light Hydrangeas. ASAP. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 I also love your billions of Bobo hydrangeas! I love them too and find they fit so well in many places in the garden! Thank you for the beautiful tour!!!
You will not be disappointed in Firelight!
I am thinking the same!

Love all the purple and pinks, beautiful 😍
Thank you💖
I wouldn’t be able to say what my favorite area of your yard is. Everything looks so lush and beautiful 😊
Awe, thank you!
Hi Heidi 🌺. Wow every thing in your garden looks amazing and I love the viariety of colors in your garden . The hydrangeas and the impatiens are charming . Hiedi you can also add vincas to your garden and see how they grow . Have a great day .🌺🌻🌺
I like vincas. I think my gardens are to wet/moist for vinca
Wow!!! Best garden tour ever!!!
Thanks so much
I so love your channel and get excited when I see new posts. Then…I’m in South Carolina. Ugh!
Many of the same things will grow. But I understand the hydrangea turning brown issue.
Great tour, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for subscribing
Every time I see your garden, I want the alstroemerias. Can’t wait to get some of the new PWs next year!
They look amazing, can't wait to offer them next year
I bought a Firelight Hydrangea standard because of your beautiful bush. It is just gorgeous. Wish I could insert a picture. Beautiful yard you have. I’m in East Michigan.
You can send me a picture to sales@gardencrossings.com
I purchased my Firelight hydrangea because I saw it in your tour two years ago. Its just so beautiful to me too ❤️
Yes, I am loving all the comments of those who have bought Firelight because of mine. That is special.
Your gardens are so beautiful 😍. I have 3 fire light hydrangeas on the east side of my house. Central Iowa. They have already transitioned to dark pink. My rhododendrons are turning red and some trees in my area are turning. I believe we may get an early fall.
We have had a few cool nights, but more heat is on its way.
Have a couple of hydrangeas a couple tht are fire light starts off really pretty but because of our hot sticky nights(8a/8b) eventually it turns dusty pinkish brownish 😢, however it starts off really pretty
I have heard in the heat of the south you dont get the intense color we get here in the north.
Yes girl!! I started my first garden this year and your yard inspires me...ive purchased 7 different hydrangea so far..id like to copy you bird houses and your hydrangea islands...thank you so much for your content ❤
Welcome to gardening!
Your home landscaping is beautiful, Heidi! Great job!
Thank you so much!
Heidi, really enjoyed this video. Do you think it was very difficult to get the Fire Light hydrangea to be sturdy and full? I have one of the Fire Lights and the flowers have not been very large and the plant doesn't seem very strong. Thank you for the late summer garden tour!
It take a few years for it to get mature and strong. Usually i say 3 years. We do trim by about 1/3 every year and then every 3-4 years we trim more drastically.
Oh my goodness your garden is so amazing. I love all the hydrangeas, hibiscus, and the sun patients, and the agastache. You have given me ideas to do to my back yard. I just have to be careful were I dig because the sprinklers. Thank you for sharing.
I am glad we could inspire you
I’ve got 2 fire lights ❤❤❤. Love them. And yours is the first one I saw. I have a recent video of my garden on my channel. It is very inspired by your garden
Awe, thank you!
Heidi: Thanking you for the tour of your garden. Your sun patients are striking and if I was in the market for any flower to add an awesome border to my garden this is the flower! Really like your Miss Molly Butterfly Bush,Firelight Hydrangeas along with Milkweed. Also Proud Berry adds alot of unique interest to the garden and would stop and look at this shrub if I were visiting a garden center. The sedum are looking good and I have had them in another garden we had but might plant them again as they are a good performer.
Remember the Sunpatiens for next spring.
Yes, I certainly will
This makes me so excited (ready?!) for those 2025 annuals! Especially Tiara Pink and Wedgwood Pink 💕 Thank you for the tour, Heidi - your Bobos are undefeated! 🏆
Thank you for watching. Yes, the Tiara Pink has been 'extra' this year. Way better than I thought even possible.
I brought a firelight hydrangea, because we saw it at your nursery and also in your garden tour video. Mine is still small but hope it looks like yours someday 💕
I am sure it will!
I purchased a firelight after seeing your. It has only been in the garden 2 summers and is so pretty this year.i also love firelight tidbit. Have 4 of them.
Yes!!! Both are amazing
Good morning Heidi
Thanks for watching.
GM Heidi,
Your flora palettes are absolutely fantastic! Thank you for the morning garden walk while I sip my morning sunshine🌻
Thanks for 'walking' with me
Beautiful gardens. Do you know the hosta variety that was next to the black eyed Susan under the deck? Thank you so much for all the videos and information!!
That is Hosta LIberty
This was an amazing tour Heidi, I definitely need one of those fire lights in my life. thank you again for the wonderful tour, always beautiful.
Thanks for watching. Many people have commented that they bought one because of mine 🥰
I'm so impressed, My Bobo's are 2 years old and need to be tied up because the flower heads cant be supported on their branches. When and how far do you cut them back? Thank you
We trim them by 1/3 every year. Every 3-4 years we trim them back to 1/3rd.
Hi Heidi! For some strange reason I was raised to believe that caterpillars 🐛 are poisonous… I know now that’s not true but are there any that are? Lol ☺️
Hi Heidi, everything is gorgeous. Wanting to know what variety the hosta is at around 10:26 in the video to the right of black eyed Susan's. Stunning, does it need shade or morning sun and afternoon shade. .❤️😉 Thank you!
That is hosta Liberty. It is in a part shade area.
Amazing garden, Hiedi. My guess is that you don't have any deer issues in your area. I wish I didn't, or I could grow these beautiful hydrangeas.
We actually had a deer about a month ago. I did a video on it. They dont browse often but on a rare occasion they find my garden
Stumbled across this channel.
I have 8 1 year old firelights.
What are the first tips for them? A few are a bit leggy.
We recommend trimming by 1/3 when they are done flowering. We have lots of videos on this plant.
Hi Heidi! What is the name of that hosta that is next to your black-eyed Susan under your deck? (10:26) Everything looks beautiful!❤
That is Hosta Liberty
In the back by the sun impatient you said something about deers eating. I couldn't quite understand the product you used. Could you please share that with us? Thanks
We used Bobbix on the plants to keep the deer away
I purchased a firelight hydrangea because of how beautiful yours is, I planted it last fall, and although it's not as full and the blooms are smaller, the color is really pretty. Hopefully, it will look better next season. Heidi, what advice would you give to help mine along??
Age... it gets better with age.
That is stunning in the front looks like a pineapple
Thank you
I have a Firelight that I’m going to move next month. It’s too close to my foundation and is floppy. I’m sure it will thrive in a more open space. (North west Michigan, zone 5/6.)
Yes give it the space it needs. Make sure you give it full sun as well.
Can you advise the Hostas underneath your deck? starting at 10:23. Thank you in advance.
That one is Liberty
What and how often do you feed your garden flowers?
Thanks for subscribing! The annuals in the front get fertilized once a week. In the back we really do not do anything special.
Love your videos ❤❤
Thank you. Thanks for subscribing
Hi, What is the name of the big white and green hosta that were on the side of the Blackeye Susans?
That is Liberty
Hi Heidi 👋 Your gardens look absolutely GORGEOUS! I am loving the Wigilia, Peruvian Lillies, and the Phlox, and am wondering how they will grow here in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast, pretty much full sun very hot and humid?🤔 🥵 I do grow Hibiscus and I have a PW Blue Chiffon Rose of Sharon. My daughter got me a mix of Sunpatiens basket this year, I am really interested in trying the PW brand this next Spring. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden with us.
The weigela and the phlox are hardy up to zone 8, you may be a bit too warm with not enough of a cool spell for them. The Peruvian Lilies should be ok in your zone.
Wow, your garden is beautiful. How do you plant under such big trees & have your plants thrive? Very few things grow under my birch trees.
They still get a decent amount of sun and we water daily. That may help
Wow, Heidi, your garden looks amazing!! What do you feed your Bobos? Mine never get this big. I'm in Zone 5b, Illinois.
In our home garden we really do not do anything special as far as feeding the perennials and shrubs. When we fertilize our yard we over 'spray' into the garden beds but thats about it.
I have always been concerned that the aphids would spread to my whole garden. Good to know that you just leave them alone.
I hate aphids they are so creepy, but this is the plant they stay on.
I bought three Fire Light Hydrangeas because of your videos! I have a Fire Light Standard on my wishlist on your site, And now I am going to buy Agastache based on yours. Heidi, are those Rose of Sharons I see in between your trees? If so, what variety are they please? Your landscaping is beautiful!
Yes those are Rose of Sharon. They are my neighbors so I am not certain the variety. But I would say they look a lot like the Magenta Chiffon.
@@gardencrossings thank you!
HHeidi where can I find the the hanging basket hooks on your front porch?
We were selling them for awhile, but they manufacture no longer makes them.
@@gardencrossings Thank you for responding
Hi Heidi! I want to add a milkweed to my garden. Is it a plant that you sell or do you just have to get lucky and have one grow as a weed?
Yes we sell this plant. It is Cinderella
I just purchased bobo hydrangea. Would you recommend using Biotone in the hole since I'm fall planting this? I'm in Ohio.
Personally I don't put anything in the hole when I plant. But if you feel like your soil could use some nutrients then I would
❤
Last year, I was very excited for 2024 supertunia safron finch... 😢 I was very disappointed with the performance.. it's only end of July and I had to pull them all they look so ugly and didn't bloom much. Zone 6B. bubble gum is the best and vista fuschia. Will never buy safron finch again... Just gave me heartache this year. 12 plants.
I am sorry to hear that. I really like Saffron Finch in planters.
Everything looks fabulous, especially that white salvia. Although beautiful, I'm surprised that you have lythrum.. purple loosestrife in your garden since it's banned in all 50 states because of its destructive invasive nature.
I have had this in my garden for over 20 years. The 2 plants I have have never 'popped up' elsewhere. I love it.
❤
Hi Heidi! For some strange reason I was raised to believe that caterpillars 🐛 are poisonous… I know now that’s not true but are there any that are? Lol ☺️
I googled it.... As a general rule, brightly-colored caterpillars with spines, bristles, or a fuzzy appearance might be venomous and should not be touched.
