He could’ve been another porzingis. They give up on prospects way too fast in the nba. It’s simple to see that he’s a emotional / rythym player , limited minutes only hurts his confidence. The pre-Joel process days were awful. Tickets were so cheap you could’ve literally spent the same amount as you do on fastfood. They were awful and we knew it, but we had to endure it. It worked out for us but we still had a lot of wasted projects and potential because of our change in management and faith in certain players (Simmons, drafted Fultz #1) They should’ve just traded the picks for stars seeing that they blew both players’ developments. We haven’t even made it to the promise land like Milwaukee, but we keep it competitive and interesting now that we have pieces. I hope things go our way but sometimes banking on potential is the worst thing you can. You build your teams bottom up. Your 14-15th final spots should go to developmental pieces. Everyone else should either be in their prime, entering it, or in vet minimum efficient role minutes type deal. Thon fit neither of those categories, man is washed and inconsistent.
