All the first three albums are fantastic, but the first is still definitely my favourite. Dominoid is a work of genius.
I've been lucky enough to see them live a few festivals over the years too, including one memorable Glastonbury where Róisín ended up half climbing into the back of an upright piano 😂
All of the albums still hold up today and I would certainly love to get the chance to see them live again, even though I realise it probably won't happen 💜
Probably the most important musical collaboration that also involved them being in a couple.
Was never privileged to see Moloko but I will see Roisin in San Francisco in November!

Moloko were a great band, very original and innovative. I've been a fan of their music since 1996 when I saw the video for "Fun For Me" on one of the reruns of MTV's 120 Minutes. I fell in love with this band once I bought the first two albums. Both Mark and Róisín are geniuses. It hurts that the band didn't last so long, but it's okay for everyone to follow their path in life, while Róisín doesn't stop releasing good quality music.
I really hope someday I find someone to create art as these two did. So lucky, as we are to witness and enjoyy as well!
First heard Molokai during a family trip to London. Never stop listening ever since.
Other than a tinge of Jealousy, I have to say that the way you guys work together is Awesome. Your first album actually influenced many of the tones on my own material. I grew up on Bowie, Numan, Prince, Duran, Depeche..... But your tones were the final subconscious Funky Ingredient. Fun For Me was one of my Fave tracks to play when DJ'ing at the club, and it always packed the floor by the end of the Intro.

@@omardj13 I don’t think they hate each other. One doesn’t really hate someone you’ve loved and someone with whom you made wonderful things. Most of the time what happens is that you get hurt and you need to protect yourself from being hurt again and again, and distance and time helps... And you can use what you call hate to achieve that.
No. Roisin was groomed and it backfired by 2003 horribly. A reunion is only possible if they both got therapy to process that volatile break up.

Oh forgot to add ,Mark is one of them folk ya instantly wanna know more about, he's a bit of Alright haha Phwoar, Brains n Sex appeal in equal measure, how very in PC if me to say so ,to objectify him lol but it's true he's got that certain something that is such a turn on, wish he would do more creative stuff with all his Massive Talent haha, hope so,am looking out for anything he creates in the future that is defo needed & wanted😋
I'd been a fan of Moloko for several years before I realized that I'd been listening to Mark's music since the 80s. I still have all the Chakk releases.

I think it's a Novation Bass Station. That's what everybody was using at the time.

As much as this song in all its versions is such a fab earworm, the video with Roisin is what really makes it so memorable TBH! Just like Vogue with Madonna, sumtimes the video sends the record into the stratosphere & is far more an addictive pleasure of an experience!! Watching Roisin is so mesmerizing in nearly all her live or recorded catalogue!!! I think her acting ability has yet to be more explored & exposed, it's an obvious next step in her evolution that a Film is in the pipeline!!!! 😋 Just know its gonna happen & she is saving the best til last, it's all gonna GO RIGHT on every level, there's so much JOY watching Murphy's STAR* RISE Higher & HIGHER,🤩, Lovin each new stage in RMs Creative Story, Pure Non Stop Ecstatic Brilliant TALENT & just a Beautiful example of how down to Earth & Humble a SOUL can Give Out So Much FAB ENERGY ,inspiring us all to try this Attitude ,keeping it REAL & Shining An Inner Diamond Mind Outlook!!!!!!! 😉

Sing it Back remix is best track of the album I listened to this tones of times along with Time Is Now (Things to Make and Do version) Mark does have a connection to the North East mainly Sunderland he was born there

Great insight into such a great album… but anybody else feel like there is no chemistry between Mark and Róisín here? The fact this is a full 2 years before the break up is a little worrying. A sad end to a great project
