Guess you never got the wrong time zone...try going from central to Eastern and back several times, it's easy to forget to adjust for the time you're in....
Your GPS should tell ya what your ETA is to your destination. And in that I do believe it will say something like 5:30 est… something to that line. My Rand McNally does Atleast
I always take the miles I have to go and divide by 55... I know I'm gonna be going faster but it allows for a little wiggle room.. then I usually round up.. so if I'm going 300 miles, I plan for the driving alone part of the trip to take 6 hours. Hasn't failed me yet.
It truly sad. That work ethic. Doesn't mean anything these days. Delivering on time, trying your best to get somewhere on time. Doesn't mean anything. I know stuff causes you to be late now and then but I drove for well over 20 years. and I know it hasn't been that long since I stopped. but I do know what used to mean something. was Delivery loads on time being safe. being safe. and it doesn't seem like people care anymore. I'm get it there when I get there. Oh, I know I'm running late, but I'll stop and take a break. What will **** if we get there? And the customer won't unload us. Don't matter if we were late. Ohh well, **** because her mouth are bad. But we won't look that we've delivered loads late and. I know I'll probably just get blocked there. Nobody will read this, but really. truly delivering loads on time business. The biggest part of your job.
If the shippers/receivers actually cared when you are late for legitimate reasons I would agree. We all know they don't. In today's traffic with HoS regs and dispatchers/planners that are inconsiderate or flat out ignorant of travel times, more often than not you are either ridiculously early or late with no in between. Add to that inconsist late policies across all the customers and your arrival time can easily become an afterthought. You want me to be on time within a 30 minute window from 900 miles away? That's insane. This isn't 1974 when there was 3 cars on the highway. I get burned from being on time or early A LOT and the times I am legitimately late, consideration is rarely given.
@@safetydepartment no it’s not 1970 anymore but unless it’s an unexpected traffic accident or weather if you plan properly get up when you need to which he does it you take a little bit of pride in your job you can deliver or pick up on time when you’re on the way to somebody and you’re already late you don’t stop and get a burger and waste an extra 45 minutes. Some of what you’re complaining about is wrong. Well Jay. Once again, on yet another video, your late. Maybe someday you will grow up and take your job and responsibilities seriously! Maybe you won’t !
I’m lost here but are you late for your appointment and stopped to grab lunch instead of going to the appointment first?😂
Dude actually show up on time
This man’s late and STILL takes his lunch 🤣🤣🤣
Yes it'll get there when it gets there you still take care of yourself...duh

So much for being responsible and delivering on-time.I don't get the new generation.

I have been late twice in 27 years because of mechanical issues but never late because of time zone change.
@@chrislewis6488well good for you no one asked for your useless negativity...
Another terrific video, thanks.

😂😂 i agree.
For real... I'd rather the consignee get attitude cuz I'm too early...
“Honestly had I known I’d have to get up at 5:30 I probably wouldn’t have” then what are you doing trucking. Where’s your pre trip. No work ethic.
