That problem was from U.S. Colorado 3.6 V6 gasoline engine but they could fix by adjusting computer command. No issue with 2.8L diesel version as tested by some magazine, they said no gear hunting for diesel engine and every gear seemed to be the right gear.

4x4 reviews should be done by a expert/professional 4x4 road tester. Not saying Paul didnt do a good job because he did but when it comes to off-roading some more thought and skill should be put on camera. Sure a rear diff locker helps but all you need is low range, right tyre pressures and the right line. Modern utes have a good traction control system and that itself can get you up a small steep hill and even steeper ones.
The stickers were designed in Australia and that is it. The engine is too small at 2.8 Lts and its max torque is at 2000 rpm - at 2500 and more it drops off which is disgusting for towing. This is the characteristic of every diesel engine. If we pass higher than 2000 rpm, we should shift to higher gear to lower rpm and get more torque. If your transmission is automatic the computer will command to higher gear over 2500-3000 rpm.
