Making eBooks with Sigil

You can't have a hover state unless you are looking at the book on a computer with a mouse pointing device attached. Instead you can have interactive items that you tap on in something like the iPad.
In iBooks author you can add interactive items really easy. For standard ePub I have not tried it yet but it may be possible with some HTML 5 or with some javascript programming perhaps.
I will look into this further and get back to you on this.

Sigil is a handy piece of kit for making eBooks.

The basic eBook using Sigil. Quite a good little application to use on your Mac and there are Windows and Linus versions too. Not all you get with iBooks Author, but great for making the standard ePub book.

how would i put in an interactive picture ? like a pie chart that when you hover over it in moves and stuff like that?

I have downloaded Sigil and it refuses to open, an error box pops up and sends a report to Mac.

Dirk Tickler Try using an app like App Delete to make sure if gets completely erased from the computer and do a re install with a fresh download of the app.

I have tried downloading Sigil and I would like to export a document from Sigil onto Kindle Direct Publishing. My biggest problem that I have faced has been with Windows 8. None of the software seems to open up like yours on the Mac OS. I was wondering if you have any experience with Windows 8?
