I like the concept, but there is a flaw Jeff. I'm not being critical but from a engineering standpoint, there should be a "roller, a guide or something of this effect" were your wench is, and then placing your wench behind this. This will correct a slight deviation when the 550 wraps around the wench trending left and tight.
    But overall great

That’s cool! When you do the video on arrow set ups with 3 Rivers, wood love to see something with wood shafts. Aluminum and carbon, I have found fairly easy to set up, struggling with wood.

excellent video thank you Jeff. As an instinctive Archer I have always struggled to achieve sufficient consistency when bow tuning . I'm going to build one of these

Got my Royal X8 in the mail today. Really good looking bow. I'll get to shoot it tomorrow. Also ordered a Hermit x10 yesterday. Should see it in a week or so

Jeff, I’ve been watching your videos for some time now. I’ve learned so much from them can’t wait to build one of these. You make this ,like all your videos, easy to understand. But most importantly your faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and you adding that to your videos is by far the most important part of these videos. Thank you, your brother in Christ Bob.

Awesome build Jeff! You think with some modifications this would work for compound bows as well?
Been wanting to build one of these myself for a long time. Your videos giving me the push I need 😂

It’ll need to be slightly different for a compound as in you’d need a 1” round post instead of the flat board on front because of the cables, I’ve got anEZ Press that has a draw board attachment and that’s exactly how it’s made, you could use a piece of pipe wrapped with anything like rubber or foam on it and do the exact same thing!

Very nice Jeff! Have you taken a perfectly tuned bare shaft and re-shot it with fingers? I'd be curious how close the arrow tune would still be. I would think the speed on a machine shot arrow would be up slightly so maybe a slightly tuned weak would be closer to perfect with fingers? I am guessing. If I built one of these I'd have to include flood light in my yard as I'd be out there both day and night. Lol.

Was about to build this kind of machine years ago, but never got my Thumb out.
Anyway, this is the best machine I seen so far, and Im sure it will be to many help for the Hunters to tune their bows and arrows.
But for Me who shoots Bamboo arrows on 3D competitions, already got so far in my perfection, so for Me I don't need it anymore.
On top I don't bother to shoot bare shafts with Bamboo, as I don't want to cut my arrows, and Increase my Gaps.
But Thanks Jeff, this a great Machine for the Hunters and the more modern shooters, Recurves, Barebows with composite arrows etc.
    I really enjoy this video

Jeff I can’t tell you how much your videos have helped me in this archery journey. Basically I’ve been at it for about 3-4 months and every time I just don’t get something you seem to have a video that seems to address it. I’m still shooting a 35# recurve and working on my form but it has improved a lot with your help. Planning on going deer hunting this year with a 40-45# bow (keeping shots under 20 yards) and hopefully I’ll get one. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep watching your videos.

Do you think a mechanical release could be used without full build to validate something in the finger release is not causing a false weak spine reading?

Hi Jeff I purchased a Sanlida Eagle X9. I had to return it today cause the limb and bolt did not line up. So I'm waiting for a new one to come in. I got a #60 one and the arrows are for a #30 bow. Do you know why they do that? I got the kit set thinking the arrows would at least be for my poundage bow. Do you know they do that?? Thank you for your channel by the way. Ive learned alot on your channel.

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  4 місяці тому

The arrows they include are 500 spine which will be a little weak with 60# limbs, they do have other spine options but normally just include the 500’s, I would contact them about that and see if they will send you some 400’s or 340’s depending on how far you actually draw but even without arrows it’s still a really good bow for the price even if you have to get different ones but I’d test a bare shaft first to know for sure 👍🏻

@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 So I shot the bow a few times to see if the limbs would fix itself. It's a good bow for sure. That's why I didn't return I exchanged it. I just don't understand why the would ship out such light arrows when i bought a #60 bow. It's a kit ready to go but not when you get the higher #. Which is very misleading. My draw is 30" so I need long arrows. My primary bow I shoot is about #70. I took one of my 300 spine arrow cut the veins off put feathers and shoots straight. It's a kit thought the arrow should come according to draw weight at least. Thank you for reading and replying to me Jeff.

@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 Hi Jeff any word on if they are going to send the right arrow for the heavier pounds? I just got my replaced bow and it makes some weird crack sounds when I draw it back. Can you help me out with that. I know not alot of people get #60 recurve bow but that what I got.

I can’t wait for the 3Rivers arrow testing results! May suggest you start with their spine test kit (GT Traditional) against a couple of your previously recommended shafts, GT Warrior and Easton 6.5 Bowhunter. And as usual, another excellent video content today, I’ve been wanting to build one of these since you mentioned it in a previous video, keep them coming brother, may God Bless, Terry from New Market.
