Bill using his rip-tire to blow up another rip-tire has to be one of the most poetic plays I have witnessed within my life time. He sacrificed his material goods in order to rid others around him of material goods of the same quantity, causing the emotions tied to the loss of an ultimate ability to both him and another and only being compensated with the knowledge that another person within this world is also suffering, united in their pain. An astounding display of contemplation and reason of the world around him, truly a decision that can only be made by a true philosopher. I am blessed to live on the same timeline as this man.

my friend actually found a one shot combo for hog that still works against most 200 health squishies, its inconsistent but he does hit it about half the time he hooks a squishy

He’s still playable and you can still one shot kill, those tanks are not bad especially after the Orisa nerf

the oneshot hook combo may be gone, but I fuck with the new overall Scrapgun buffs, much more consistent DPS. Actually much better to deal with Orisa and groups of enemies now.

You can still 1 shot, if you like look up after the hook so enemy is in air, step forward left click and melee. It still 1 shots. You can probably find a guide to do it which explains it better.

Hog can still get the one shot. It's just a lot harder to do now, and there's a bit more counterplay. I wouldn't say he's dead, but the nerf definitely hurt though.
Combo is right click -> hook -> hold w -> left click at head -> melee. You can sometimes void the right click.
Hopefully he gets an actual rework at one point soon.

@Advesha Well ever since they changed Hog to get easier one-shots in OW1, people are used to just getting hook -> one-shot. This is just how he used to be before that change. Good Hog players will still gets lots of value out of Hog.

He’s honestly not bad, he still kills tracer consistently if you land the hook, and he does a lot of damage to bigger tanks, he’s just not absolutely dominant
