Yes! 4:28 Banana Boat or Cancer Council sunscreen is the best. Also I agree with the comments that you should try and find a Chemist Warehouse for the best value.
What a shame non of the rest of the flight crew would go to the Opera House but don't feel uncomfortable about saying you feel apprehensive. You have to stay safe and that's what's important. I hope that on your next stay in Sydney another crew member will go with you, as it would be nice to share the experience. Your Videos are so natural and honest and that's why they are so enjoyable to watch. Stay Safe.
Thank you🤍 I was so excited to go an was even planning on going on my own but when I get to the hotel that feeling was to strong to go out and ignore ☺️ next time for sure!
Hey Sophie, I stumbled on your video. I'm from Sydney, it's ok to walk around the Opera House on your own. I did it with my young kids a few weeks ago. It's safe, I used to work in the city and I'd have lunch around there on my own. Take care.
Aww thank you, I don't know what came over me, im sad I didnt make it but I will 100% have to go back and visit. Thank you though, this makes me feel better about it when I do go 🥰
I'm glad you had a wonderful trip to Sydney. Shame you couldn't get to the places you wanted to see. You don't need to worry about being scared, it is understandable as you are on your own in a different country. You looked like you had a blast in Woolworths (shame it's not like how UK Woolworths used to be). I had a little smile about the cutlery mention. Hopefully the suncream dies work better for you on future trips. Stay strong and remember to not be upset if you don't get out if you are scared about going out alone.
Hey soph, so glad you got to be in Australia after a long time. I'm glad you decided against going to the Opera house alone, please always remember safety first. I don't know how it's done for border security(my 2nd favourite program) but they blur the faces of some people who don't want their identity revealed so I guess that's how it works so even if they film you, your identity is still not known. I love watching your videos and please tell Clara that I love her glass work and I wish I could do same. I always enjoy it whenever you facetime with her and she says hi. Thank you for showing us your life and that of your amazing family🥰❤
Welcome to Sydney 🥰 1. I know where you staying from one street shot because I went to a job interview across the street 😆 2. Hamilton sunscreen for face is the best!! It comes in a white and beige bottle or a squeeze tube. Does not make you shiny and it does not interfere with your make up. Also, it doesn’t feel like sunscreen which is what I love the most.
😂 that’s so funny! Hope the interview went well 🤞🏼 ohhh I’ve been looking for own to wear under my makeup, I’ll give this one a look an see if I can get my hands on it ☺️ thanks!
Hi Sophie, it’s so strange to see you’re in my country. I’ve stayed at that hotel when I’ve been in Sydney on business. I suggest that the next time you’re in Sydney and want to go to the city it’s really easy to get there from the airport by train. The domestic terminal at Mascot is with easy walking distance of the hotel, and has a train station that connects to the city and Circular Quay. That’s where you’ll find the Opera House.
Ohh I seen the train station I think near the supermarket so at least next time I have an idea on where to go ☺️ thank you for this, will keep a note for next time x
I don’t think that feeling is stupid at all, Sophie. When traveling, especially as a woman on her own, you should always listen to your gut instinct. If you’re not feeling comfortable, you were right in not going! I’ve backpacked on my own for a year, and listening to my gut instinct has helped keep me safe.
great video! Your story reminds me of the first time I went to Australia, decided to go get some essentials to Target, and boy was I surprised ! not what I expected, I thought it was just this store, but later I found out it’s Target in name and logo only. 😳
Great Aussie vlog Sophie ❤, i love watching border force Australia they’re so strict which is great as they are protecting their beautiful country ❤❤xx
you're the best!! I loveeeee yor=ur blogs. I just got to know you now for 2 weeks I guess. I AM GLADDD I GOT TO KNOW YOUR CHANEL HEHEH!! Because honestly its my favvv Time pass. I've watched all your vlogs. you're so natural Sophie. I loveeee you! I want to be like you. you're honestly hardworking. I wish you the bestttt and I would loveeeee your vlogs more often. cuz I can't wait for the next ones hehehehe
Sophie you are always a ray of sunshine. Sorry to hear that you were scared to go out on your own. As a solo traveller female I can understand your fear however I dont want to miss out on life so I push through my fears and see the things I want. :-)
Welcome to our country, hope you enjoyed Sydney. Yes you must keep safe, especially don't go walking out at night by yourself. Once again go with your gut feeling, most of the time it will always be right in any situation. The TV show you were talking about is called Border Security, its quite a big show here in Australia, features most of the capital cities and their international airports. Most of the time its a year or so after the filming before we see it on TV, especially with people that are caught with illegal stuff, needs time to go through courts etc before being aired on TV. Hope you had safe travels back home, and hopefully its before a another 3 years have pasted before we see you back again.
Its so true, we get these feeling for a reason so we have to listen to them. Next time I will know the area so I hopefully will be okay☺️ Ohhh, its honestly my guilty pleasure to watch anything like this so to see it being filmed was surreal 😂
Can never go wrong with fish and chips anywhere you go am guessing it’s not as good as homes also you look fantastic natural Sophie but Woolworth’s that’s a blast from the past!, the heat in Australia sounds very like Singapore when i was there in October it instantly hits you soon as you get outside but weirdly never needed sun cream I couldn’t ever get used to the change in time I honestly don’t know how you cope with the many time differences you go through real trooper Soph but I loved watching and seeing your Sydney trip ☺️
Never as good as home but it’s always a safe and classic meal when I want a taste of home🤍 being honest time zones all blur into one now🙈 I try sleep when I can an eat when I’m hungry 😂 so glad you enjoyed the vlog 🤍
@@SophieFayHart hopefully next time you’re home you’ll able the proper fish and chips it be worth the wait 😊 aw bless I’d never cope with it as well as the hunger i’d be so grumpy 😂 looking forward to the next one 💯
Hi Sophie, hope you had a good Australia Day (Jan 26) in Sydney. I see you made it to Woolworths Mascot. The train station is across the road from there where you can go directly to Circular Quay to see the Opera House. I would consider the Airport / East Hills train line as quite safe up to about 8pm. After that you can travel in the guards carriage (which is marked by the blue light, it’s normally the last carriage in the eight car set). Back in the old days we grew up with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 30 sunscreen. Nowadays you can get SPF50 and SPF100 so you get more protection. The Aussie sun is brutal. In regards to Borderforce they ask for permission when they film someone who is innocent. For people who are guilty of something then they are covered by Freedom of Press legal provisions - and quite often the guilty party are either in prison or have been deported so their chances of suing the TV channel are low.
Ohh I never realised this about the carriage, its so handy to know ☺️ I always do factor 50, but many of the ones I pick up don't protect me at all so going to try one of Oz next time ☺️ Ohhhhhh!! thats actually pretty cool, its fascinating how it all works but im glad they do it ☺️
Totally understandable that you didn't want to go out alone. Traveling/touring alone as a woman is tough and you have to be smart! I'm so amazed that you can get avocado in a tube. Very handy when you don't have the resources to make it fresh.
It happens sometimes, I get the feeling and I always listen to my body now. I know I will be back so I can go visit next time ☺️ Omg the avo in a tube is game changing 😂
Hey Soph, how are you? I see you remembered the necessities 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Damn!Sydney is beautiful ❤. I envy you with all you eat and not gaining weight. If it were me,I'd probably have gained weight by now. Thank you for sharing. Have a safe trip back and a blessed week ❤
What a shame you didn’t see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. It’s summer here in Aus, doesn’t get dark until like 8.30-9.00 pm. You had plenty of time. I usually travel alone and am never afraid to explore a different country…..oh well - next time.
As it’s a public area, they can film. By letting them know with that sign if you don’t want to be filmed then they would remove you but otherwise, as it’s a public area they can!
I am SO SORRY you had to come here in the middle of a heatwave 😭 it's horrifically hot. I'm in Queensland (north of sydney), and it's scheduled to be 35°C tomorrow. The sunscreen thing is an actual fact. There is a "rip" in the ozone layer due to the amount of like air contamination and things like that. It covers New Zealand as well. We have the highest rate of melanoma in the world because of it, followed closely by New Zealand. So yes, our sunscreen is the bomb in comparison to other countries. Not that a lot of people use it. Also, for next time, try the pharmacy for the big tubs of paw paw. Chemist warehouse to be specific. I'm not sure if they still sell it, but woolies "woolworths" has been recently out of everything constantly.
I thought it was true! So glad I wasnt making it up 😂 Next time im going to stock up on all my suncreams, I struggle so much. But I do notice when I use one from Oz I NEVER burn but I can wear a factor 50 from US and im a red lobster 😂
It’s always funny to me when people are apprehensive about going places or traveling by themselves because I prefer it (this is not a judgement, I just genuinely go “wait, am I odd!? 😂) Only Child 🤷🏻♀️
Sometimes im the same, I love going places on my own. on your own schedule and no one else to think of 😂 but sometimes I do get very apprehensive about it. when its bad I even hate going to the hotel restaurant on my own 🙈 Its something im working on x

Thanks for taking us along!! Always trust your gut when you contemplate going somewhere…that feeling is there for a reason. Safe travels!
This is very true ☺️ have to listne to yourself x
Nice Australian layover Sophie. And always trust your instincts. It's what it's there for. You need to stay safe.
Thank you 🤍 We always have to trust our bodies x
Australia is such a beautiful country! Happy you decided to listen to your intuition and not go to the Opera house by yourself! xo
I know I can go next time, this time I just couldnt shake the feeling so I listened to my body ☺️
Going to the Opera House is safe. Just catch the train to Circular Quay and you’re there.
Yep always stock up on Aus or NZ suncreams. They are brilliant, they have to be, our sun is so harsh
The sun is crazy over that side of the world! We have to get more next time ☺️
Thanks for this vlog. Fly and stay safe. Another fun vlog. Ciao. 2023. 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it☺️✈️
