Part 1: A volcanic eruption at sea releases a strange purple liquid causing the local marine life to grow in size! With giant sharks, seahorses, and even a pesky, flying manta ray on the loose, no ship in the ocean will be safe. It's up to the crew of the Calico and Godzilla to cool off this hot situation.

the Manta in this ep is interesting in that... Mantas ODN'T fly IRL... or fire lasers from their tails! O-o's ooohh... yes, this is a true Kaiju and not just an over-sized fish. :D

I'm going to identify the all the Macro Beasts that appeared in the episode. I did this years ago and thankfully I saved what I learned on Facebook (though some of the fish that appeared in the last third of the episode still elude me). Here we go.

5:30 Hmmm🤔. There’s something familiar about this Crab. Wait a minute, it looks like one of those Giant Crabs that 24th episode of Jonny Quest “Terror Island”. I said it before, I’ll say it again. That 1st Action hanna barbera show “Jonny Quest” is out on a complete DVD set. Including both The New Adventure of Jonny Quest & The Real Adventure of Jonny Quest. But this hanna barbera version of GODZILLA has yet to be released on a complete series AKA DVD Set.
