Meds lyrics:
I was alone, falling free
Trying my best not to forget
What happened to us, what happened to me
What happened as I let it slip
I was confused by the powers that be
Forgetting names and faces
Passers by, were looking at me
As if they could erase it
Baby...did you forget to take your meds?
Baby...did you forget to take your meds?
I was alone, staring over the ledge
Trying my best not to forget
All manner of joy, all manner of glee
And our one heroic pledge
How it mattered to us, how it mattered to me
And the consequences
I was confused, by the birds and the bees
Forgetting if I meant it
Baby..did you forget to take your meds?
Baby..did you forget to take your meds?
Baby..did you forget to take your meds?
Baby..did you forget to take your meds?
And the sex and the drugs, and the complications
And the sex and the drugs, and the complications
And the sex and the drugs, and the complications
And the sex and the drugs, and the complications
Baby..did you forget to take you meds?
Baby..did you forget to take you meds?
Baby..did you forget to take you meds?
Baby..did you forget to take you meds?
Baby..did you forget to take you meds?
Baby..did you forget to take you meds?
I was alone, falling free, trying my best not to forget
2024 here?🔥
And I still keep forgetting to take my meds
sir
Absolutely.
Nice to meet you
.. carry on x
Always here....
There will never be a band that can duplicate what Placebo has done. 34 years old and still amazed by them.
I turn 34 in 5 months.
Мне 45 и я восхищаюсь ими!
А мне 33 года и видимо это то самое поколение...
@@user-sc5no8tx5p 54 and only really just starting to appreciate them properly. This is a great song and an amazing one if you know the terrirory.
44 and entranced since 1998 (then bought their prior and further works). This is Rick music. No extra genre tags required. This is Rock MUSIC!
For years I thought that this song is about "sex and drugs and complications", like so many commenters here, but then I slipped into depression and now I know exactly what is this song about. Take care of your mental health, peeps.
Hope your doing well now mate. 👊👍😎
Bang on boyo hit the nail on the head 👏 👌...hope you're well and all is good with you now 😀 🏴👊✌💯🙏🏴
For me it's all of those things. Hope you're doing OK today. Just live one day at a time and don't give up.
Haha... For years I thought this song was about depression, but I’ve tried something this week and NOW I know exactly what’s this song about. Don’t do drugs, kids.
Maybe its about all of it maybe its how the lifestlye made him felt. I'm only a new fan so I'm not really sure but thats what I got. And sorry to hear that.
This song is always stuck in my head when I forget to take my meds
Same here
🤣🤣🤣💯👍✌✋🏴
Same here. And is a reminder to take your meds in 2021 :)
@@marifrany darn.. i forgot :(
I have asthma
Took my meds, but it's Placebo
good one
might be addictive, take more.
2020: baby, did you forget to wash your hands?
Was looking for some insight on the lyrics. Instead I found gold.
perfect! hahaah
Underrated comment ♥️
best meds is not watching ANY mainstream news
Lol 😂😂😂😂😂
June 14th+ who's still jamming this banger! ❤❤❤❤
This video was recorded during the "Foire Aux Vins d'Alsace" concert at Colmar in France. The hotel scenes were taken at the «Hotel Du Parc» in Mulhouse. The scenes in the bus on the A36 motorway between Mulhouse and Colmar... a great moment when "Meds" was played 3 times for the purposes of this video. An excellent memory !! 😉
This song helped me a lot at my worst breakout in my life.....Helped me really a lot
Placebo is ome of the greatest most original sounding bands ever.
Now that I’m older and mental health is a bitch this song really just hits different.
Like ‘if you tolerate this’ by the manics
Yup
Saame
God in Heaven... Give me an Album like this again!
Something about the bridge in this wonderful song, something close to perfection, like a eerie rush of euphoria in a terrifying storm, a warm helping hand pulling you out of cold and dark waters. I love it to death.
This song really gets to me as I see the world around me just like this video so many flashes and blurs, sky is moving forever and stopping
Definitely a classic. I loved this video because it actually did a good job in representing the visual hallucinations on drugs and/or what it feels/looks like when waking up after a long nig...days of partying. Plus it had 2 guys kissing at the end so it rang all these bells for me. Drugs and gay, at a time when I was experimenting with drugs and finding out I was gay.
I always believed that this video was about mental illness until I checked this on Wikipedia...
My favourite song..album..placebo is truly the most talented uniquely brilliant musicians..have loved your music for 26yrs..thank you so much..your still the best an number 1 in my eyes..your music today is as great as it was back then♥️♥️
This song is wicked. Every time i listen, i turn up the volume. Best placebo song. And maybe my best song ever.
After going through weeks of psychosis non stop i get this song more than ever. It was most likely caused by being on wrong meds for my disorder. Dont seek help too late. Shit gets serious in your head boys.
Glad things are on the up for you & hope your still "getting better" or stable don't know how else to put it sorry
I though this was about unplanned pregnancy but best wishes
One of the best songs ever when it Comes to stirring up live emotions
Último día del 2022 y aquí estoy escuchando un clásico que nunca me dejará de gustar.
Placebo - staying true to their sound. It's not my fav band, but I have nothing but respect for Brian Molko and guys.
"staying true to their sound" you obviously haven't seen the most recent album (before unplugged)
what's so bad with loud like love? it has some fucked-up songs but it was cool.
Nah, dude, I agree. I grew up with Placebo and they haven't changed exponentially. My go-to genre is black metal, but Placebo is still a guilty pleasure. 👌
Brian Molko: "When we wrote Meds, we thought that a feminine voice would be a good idea. It was then that Dimitri suggested Alison. Her voice is a real turn-on, like Viagra. She’s from another world. When we sat down in the studio to hear her do the vocals, all the guys got hard-ons. The Kills are an incredible group. We’ve seen Jamie in a lot of bands, and we even played with some of them… but The Kills!… They’re a musical triumph. One of the best modern rock bands."
LS
I honestly didn't notice for a long time that there was a female voice in this. I thought it was just Brian.
@@moonflower5553 yeah same here, I had no idea either.
sounds just like brian
@@waterp2202 Which means that whenever he sings the entire band gets hard ons.
Believable 😅
This song is one of my favourite songs it's an incredible piece of art perfectly performed and done by one of the greatest bands ever made Placebo creating always great music....!!!!!!!
Placebo was the sound of my teenage years
Brian Molko looks like an angel even when he 's caught by his demons. (From France. Sorry for my bad english spoken pls)
Their energy brings me back in time…
As an epileptic, take your meds. The terror seizure is a bitch without them. Best band in the world, bar none.
Do you experience terror after a seizure?
They are a separate type of seizure, which come on their own@@TasmanianTigerGrrr
All of Placebos song remind me of a much better, and fun time in life.
Great song! Great music! Great band! Ave Placebo!!! 🖤
Ave ❤️🎸

growing up my dad would play this a lot and i just liked it. Rediscovering this song the lyrics really hit back. I just got out of a bad relationship and especially the part about forgetting to take your meds; to me i interepreted as when my feelings were constantly villianified/thrown out the window with any minor excuse
i cryed an ocean listening to placebo
♥️ Always will be obsessed with this song....
i love this song SO much!
Essa música tem o gosto da adolescência! Amo!!
This song feels so relevant to my life right now.
It's all coming back to me now
I love this song
the first guitar riff gives instant chills
great start for a sunday
Still my favourite song ever
Иногда, смотря на однотипных юношей и девушек я думаю, что Брайан израсходовал запас уникальности внешностей за нескольких человек.
🙂
What? Used up his reserve of unique appearance for several people? I'm just going to assume this is lost in translation lol.
@@Andrea-ml5uw He meant that he has a very unusual, extraordinary appearance:)
One of their best songs ever
Cuando salió esta canción mi corazón explotó. Mis bandas favoritas se juntaron. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Всегда когда я загоняюсь в голове звучит строчка Baby did you forget to take your meds?
I Love Placebo.
Great song.
I love this song!)
thank god i discovered these guys back in 2005 back in high school. just around the time meds came out after around 2006 i think. either way an amazing album!
My life soundtrack.❤🦄
Happy 15th anniversary Meds (13/march/2021). I miss so much the Placebo of 1996-2006 ❤💚
This have such a dark tone to it .. reminds me of the music I've listened to 14-15 years ago as a young lost teenager
a pesar que ya pasaron muchos años de que dejaron de salir y de oírse me siguen fascinando mucho no me canso de oírse sus canciones me hacen recordar muchas cosas
This song saved my life, thank you so much for all
This is a really powerful song.
saw these guys live in sydney horden pavillion in 2006-2007 when i was 17-18, now im 33 still hits the same, all their albums before this one and after were amazing too.
I really luv him so much
2022 and still love this song
My song forever.
I swear this is the greatest song I've listened to
I have been listening to this for almost 7y never really understood the lyrics but now the damn thing that I feel the lyrics not only understand it but feel it living it and the thing that has always relaxed me when I get triggered by cptsd I go listening to music that can talk in my words and say what I feel after I fall in addiction I hate that I couldn't find joy in my music anymore I hope become more strong and not letting it comes to mess up my life
Tsss había olvidado que esa canción era mi himno a principios de mis 20's jejeje buena rola
What an amazing song, it feels so much longer than 2:51 though I have no idea why
Probably the refrain looping.
Wait was that sarcastic ?
Really! I just noticed that it is so short! Omg! Less than 3 minutes , but feels longer!
love this group
The bridge in this song sounds amazing. One of the best ever recorded. I try not to listen to it when driving.
I miss this era.
Завораживает , люблю
I looooooove this song
Just my favorite
Great song!!!Love it!
Demasiada excelencia tiene Placebo 🖤❤️
I been listening to them since middle school i love them so much
This song hurts. Just amazing.
As a schizophrenic I resonate so hard with this song
My favorite song and still working through the meds and baby did I forget to taKe my meds..... Love & Peace no more war on our neighbors and citizens
this band got me through highschool, the worst years of my life 💙💙💙💙
Blessed they were a big part of my first show. Probably never would have found them otherwise.
One of my favourite bands ever =) love them
same same
I LOVE YALL YAH BLESS
Thank you for taking your meds 💊💊💊
Whoa, the memories!
Remember your joy❤
Once I saw this video on TV. After that I cannot imagine my life without Placebo.
EnslaverDead I second that!
When everything is black, hopeless, theres too much noise inside your head, you can’t reach out and talk to anyone because they won’t understand then when you’re on you’re knees and during prayer time this song starts going off inside your mind and you get the answers you need 😯
Still love the song even after such a long time
uuugh love this
im 31 and bipolar disorder i hear the words million times.. this song makes me sad..
Throw back to my teenage years...
whatever grace, by all whatever holds value, I really rove to return to that song !!
It’s video is spacial, Cody came in the world at this time ❤️❤️🌹🌹
Loved this song long ago. Still do but few years ago become obsessed with the dead weather and the kills then reheard this song and realized it was Alison Mosshart in this song. Their voices harmonize so well and her voice is amazing

Спасибо тебе за твое творчество мой дорогой друг.
I started to listen to this band due to someone I was with that ended up in the worst relationship of my life.
Even though I'm still listening to this band but at first it wasn't easy and after two years I'm listening to this again.
Good for you.
My favourite song!
The Best song 😊
this song plays as my daily reminder on my phone to take my meds.
Nice idea, can I borrow it too?
Okay so it's 2021, but I'll never forget this exact feeling when I was on my meds. Every day for years. The whole world was shifting.
