I can't deal with how muddy the intro is. The guitars and percussion were very bright in the original when used in that beginning portion, and its more dull here.
@@imafreewin4708Disagree, almost to the point where I'm daring enough to say you're wrong. Its not all bad of a redo of Cross Thought, but whether heavily compressed or otherwise, you would be able to tell that the Hits in the beginning are meant to have some large reverb/soundstage to them. My first bit of listening to Cross Thought was from a straight-up gamerip of PS3 UNIEL's OST with decent quality, similar to how this track was recorded for the video. Regardless of bitrate, you can literally hear that the hits in the beginning are closed off in comparison to the original's more airy and open version of it. It could actually be a matter of a different Hit being used, but all-in-all I am judging the instrumentation of the track and not so much using "muddy" to refer to the quality it was recorded in.
@@xRevolverServbotYou are completely right about the hits in the beginning being more muddled. That definitely is a mixing issue and not from the audio being compressed. I still am a big fan of this remix. I think he did a great job bringing out the harmony in the second guitar part during the chorus, and the new guitar solo really builds off of the original song.
Damn, this might be the biggest upgrade out of the soundtrack, most of the themes are either just "cool changes" or a "sidegrade" where I could like either one, this is probably the one song that is just better in every way for me
If arcade modes are anything to go by and if we take Hyde's the most seriously then Linne didn't put up a good enough fight against her brother to really deserve a rival theme.
Keep in mind this is audio ripped from the beta that has been further compressed being uploaded to UA-cam. Wait until the official versions release before you try to critique the mix. In game, all of the audio mixes were very solid IMO

it is grungier. it has a more distorted instead of crisp sound for each note. it is what it is bruh different styles still good song
