It's funny though. This one took me several tries to get right purely because I wasn't happy with my combos (and I'm still not all that satisfied lol). In my several attempts to do this one, I realized the chapter isn't long, you just have so much routes to cover to find all hidden verses.
Been playing this for the last week or two, just starting to go for platinums on normal and anything above a stone on NSIC. This chapter is giving me issues due to its length so I'm trying to cut down on the damage to get to Jeanne in good shape, but the 3 G&G's, the 3 Joys, and the two Ardors in close quarters are problematic. Can you explain how you get out so many wicked weaves so quickly? I'm sure dodge offset does some of that, which I'm still learning, but I have massive difficulty finishing any combos on faster enemies on NCIS. I've been using Shuraba and either Kilgore or lightning Durga on feet depending on if there are floor hazards. Any advice is welcome. Edit: The projectile that hit you at 9:22 comes way too fast, I always thought. If the camera isn't in a favorable position, it seems like a guaranteed hit, and seeing even you fall victim to that confirms it for me. Edit 2: After watching you play here, I tried your loadout and started working on dodge offset PKP combos. It's FAR more effective than what I had been trying to do, and I see how mastering both that and bullet climax after every combo can lead to pure platinums. Cheers!
Hey, sorry for the late reply. It seems like you already did some studying from this upload I've made. Good on you for improving! Really, my loadout I have in this run is fairly limited since I'm using Scarborough Fair as the principle equipment, but what makes Bayonetta so great is that any weapon you equip is viable to aid you in getting a Pure Plat, it just requires some heavy knowledge of the score system. Speaking of which, the best advice I can give you is to focus on using as much attacks as you can that rakes in the multipliers. This includes finishing combos, with PKP being a fairly easy choice to focus on, as well as using input commands for them through the use of heel stomp and tetsuzankos. These input weaves are really good because they don't require any combos to throw out, just 2-3 orbs to spend to make the attack summon a wicked weave. These moves are super good because it's fast and can stun an enemy just long enough for you to throw in a combo afterwards. As your multiplier goes up, you need to be extra careful not to let that reset to 0 which happens if you don't attack an enemy within the span of 3 seconds, which is why bullet damage is so important, even using the weak little pistol mapped to the X button. As long as you damage an enemy with even the weakest hit, you'll push yourself up on that multiplier. A rule of thumb I implement is trying to a reach a x7 before finishing a verse to guarantee myself a high score. Also, air combos. They're the best strategies for dealing with massive amounts of enemies coming at you. It's part of the reason I love using the whip, since I can just grab an enemy and isolate it with me in the air where enemies can't reach me. Learn some good air combos that can keep you stable in the air and you'll be good and safe. Enemies like Grace and Glory require a little more work since they can't be juggled. That don't mean you can't get an upper hand. I made a short video showcasing some strategies you can utilize against them. Hope this video helps: ua-cam.com/video/8IqFDmjli7c/v-deo.html Overall though, just keep practicing. Learning to control the dodge offset is definitely the best tool Bayonetta can have. It essentially allows to constantly finish combos and reserve wicked weaves and move around enemies at your own pace. If you need more help, I'd be glad to try and go into more specifics.
@@SetnaroX Thank you for all of the great advice! Like you said, I feel like I've already become a better player just by watching your video here. I had speculated that some of those wicked weaves that you were getting out very quickly were Rodin's techniques like the tetsuzanko - I've been really neglecting most of those, definitely need to practice getting them fluidly into combos. I'm getting used to using dodge offset to get off wicked weaves by doing the Balder fight with Jeanne over and over again, because I found that to be the most demanding boss with her and he's very conveniently placed as his own chapter. Also, thanks for breaking down the numbers like that. I wasn't aware of the 3-second cooldown, and knowing that will help keep my combo score up, which I have a lot of trouble with on harder difficulties (especially with Jeanne). It's also really good to know what a good combo multiplier looks like - I'll shoot for those x7's. Part of the reason I asked for your advice here is because I've seen you give a LOT of really level-headed and valuable tips to people on Reddit and Steam forums - I very rarely take the time to notice people's usernames on those sites, but your comments stood out, so when I finally broke down and Googled a video of chapter 5 PP run, I was really glad to see you had one that you made recently. Thank you again for all of your help - game with a high skill ceiling, like this one, are almost always worth putting in the time and effort to master.
Do it, it's fantastic! Been playing it since PS3 release. There's tons to learn and new ways to approach things. Just don't expect to be good when you start. Stick with it and it's a game that keeps on giving. So many options, so much gear, so many possible strategies!
@@Envoy15 I do have part 2 and 1 but can't access part 1 bc the code I have is wrong however I also can't get the new code bc my dad accidentally thrown the receipt in the garbage

9:23 Absolutely love how u included that 😂😂
those ufo looking angels are the bane of my existence lol “we’ll be right back”
Same, but I hate the serpents even more. Like why tf is you off-screen? 😭😭😭
chapter 5 gave me the most difficulty on NSIC because of how long the chapter is, but you just breeze through it!

I hate doing it with Jeanne purely for that first alfheim. Use Witch Time, three waves, joys. Ugh >.
It's like watching an anime 😭❤️
so funny how infinite climax is pretty much just dealing with grace and glory in small spaces 😂
Which is honestly the best part for me.
im not even trying to get platinum and htis gives me anxiety xD the heck
I like it when Bayonetta say boo
I've got to learn this game at some point
Good stuff as always. I really gotta learn to use downwards ABK in my combos more.
WHAT'S ABK😭
