  • Hi, my name is Katie. Also, known as myhitlife.
In this vlog, I share my food intolerances. Not fun, but it is what it is.
I am not on the show, but I'm using these vlogs to put me in such a position of no retreat I have to step my pussy up and give it everything I have. I want to quit daily, but hey you can't when you've put yourself out there. On the way to any dream it will turn into a nightmare and I'm willing to face that!
If you ever need anything from me regarding this journey or SAP just drop a question or comment. I'm here to help you like you help me! Thank you for showing up for me daily I honestly would've have come this far without you. But please make sure you take value away and go get your dreams as well!

I'm an IT Consultant who now lives in hotels 3-4 days a week from August 2018. Beforehand I was hotel living 4-5 days a week. I have not only maintained my fitness journey... I've gotten more fit. I've been hotel living since Sept 2017 and vlogging my journey since June 2018. Everyday to hold myself accountable on social media I post 3 times a day on each platform. I share all my knowledge and I'm extremely authentic.
Currently in my SAP career I'm now adjusting to the work from home working environment. Now to go from living in hotels weekly to purely working from hard the mental strained have been tough. There's no training on how to survive this type of working environment. So I've created my own.
I will be producing a weekly vlog sharing my knowledge with yourselves.
Please if you want any specific content hit me up at:
Drop a comment below! I appreciate you taking time to watch my video and I want to give you the best value possible.
Or email: katie@myhitlife.com or DM me on social
I truly believe you should never be a victim of the circumstances YOU chose! I have no fitness background, but I've managed. A couple of years on I'm currently training for SAS: Who Dares Wins. My mantra is always to lead by example.

Hey Katie, been strugling with microbiome dysbiosis after missing sleeping, overdose on processed foods and alcohol high doses frequently, high stress due to demanding work, while still keeping healthy food habits and staying fit, excercising. Eventually got sick and had more antybiotics than usual 1 week curation and wasn't aware how important are proper probiotic supplements when dealing with antybiotics. This completely trashed my microbiome, which already was 'under pressure' I would say.
2,5 years later I am done with managing my recovery from gut dysbiosis, candida, leaky gut, hence food intolerances, SIBO. My microbiome now seems to be good, just left with managing my recovery for low stomach acid issue which often happens due to above mentioned issues, chronic Inflamation etc.
Where I'm getting with this is that you should not underestimate the symptoms and check your gut microbiome. Intense trainings tend to deteriorate gut microbiome. Better address the issue ASAP with full attention.
Inflammation, no energy, depression, bloating, gasses, serious digestive issues, dysregulated hormones (high cortisol suppressing testosterone) for me it was also high glucose level due to inflammation (I am a type 1 diabetic). These are all results of the severe microbiome dysbiosis and recovery takes time once it gets really bad.
It can but doesn't have to be candida in your situation. In the root cause of most digestive issues is the microbiome, start there.
Food intolerances are usually result of leaky gut, when food particles make it through the gut lining and your immune system reacts to them as intruders, this leads to food intolerances.
Wish you the best and hope it's rather minor thing to be dealt with.

Wow thank you so much Daniel for all the information! I truly appreciate it!
I seen the doctors today and got blood tests coming in a month. I need to add the foods I was avoiding back into my life so can be tested properly. Going to be a hard month but will Defo pay off. Also, while I’m at it doing to do a parasite detox. I did one for a day or so and felt like some punched me in the stomach with headaches which apparently is normal with them. Tested my blood sugar and it’s okay. It’s hard because if you look fit and healthy to get some help. But I had to be not British today and really say what I’ve been experiencing in order to get passed just nasal spray and anti histamines.
The low histamine food plan really helped, but it’s not the best way to live. I’m pretty aware of what foods work and don’t know, but obviously making some silly mistakes there. It massively helped me reduce the hayfever as well. But I’ve tried to add some normal foods back and I’ve felt it. I’m still getting the training done but I’m so fatigue.
So hopefully this will help. Just been a funny year where I’ve had so many reactions. Lots of stomach cramps and excessive sleeping. Had a skin rash on my face for nearly a year now too. Nothing too major. With Covid you can’t even go private to an allergist either.
I’ve had some problems for a couple of years, but Defo started to see a massive whack this year when I started to adjust my food plan to normal human food for the show. As I generally eat very clean.
Just hoping I can get some direction of what it is. I want to really get to the root cause. As even anti histamine tablets makes me sick. So something is definitely off. I’ll happily change my food plan then to whatever to fix it.
I truly appreciate you reaching out and letting me know your own experiences as well! Really helps make you feel like you aren’t alone! Thank you!

@@myhitlife you should definitely try microbiome testing (from stool samples) + candida if you feel you might have it. Not a fun test to do, but worth the effort. As mentioned it often is the root cause of many things that may be off with you.

Thank you Dan! It’s pretty hard getting back into the doctors. I will try to push when I go for bloods. I did mention when I was there. But if needs be I’ll pay private as well.

As someone who's literally walked in your shoes in some aspects. I greatly benefited from fasting for a few days and then did a partial elimination (diet) well I actually reintroduce foods and from there mapped what sat well with me etc. That was a year ago now with a planned structure, some very good (well researched) set probiotics (some from fermented foods and some I purchased over the counter). I am completely bullet proof. I have the odd meal out and my diet is something that feels like something low effort and I can slip back into normal society just I'm abit picky about what goes in my body but otherwise I this sump of hypersensitivity is just a small reminder that things needed to be put on the right course. Your going to bounce back, you will find what works for you 💪

      Thank you so much!
I’ve done a low histamine food plan and that worked pretty well. However, very restrictive. I’m pretty good now with knowing what foods to add back in and what I react to. However, trying to figure it out alone Defo making mistakes.
Anything fermented isn’t working for me atm. But without a doubt my friend I will get it all sorted! I’m pretty determined. Gone to the doctors today and getting bloods done in a month. Going to add back in all the foods I’ve been avoiding so at least I can see what is the problem.
      Thank you for reaching out!
