My Journey to SAS: Who Dares Wins - Week 70 Goodbye My Friends
Hi, my name is Katie. Also, known as myhitlife.
In this vlog, I say a peaceful goodbye to you. For now my journey to SAS: WDWs is paused as I go on a year off. I never let the fear of failure stop me even during a pandemic. I am honestly so proud of myself and everything I’ve achieved. I can’t thank you enough for your support on this journey. Dream big my friends and live with no regrets. Failing and quitting are two different things!
I am not on the show, but I'm using these vlogs to put me in such a position of no retreat I have to step my pussy up and give it everything I have. I want to quit daily, but hey you can't when you've put yourself out there. On the way to any dream it will turn into a nightmare and I'm willing to face that!
If you ever need anything from me regarding this journey or SAP just drop a question or comment. I'm here to help you like you help me! Thank you for showing up for me daily I honestly would've have come this far without you. But please make sure you take value away and go get your dreams as well!

I'm an IT Consultant who now lives in hotels 3-4 days a week from August 2018. Beforehand I was hotel living 4-5 days a week. I have not only maintained my fitness journey... I've gotten more fit. I've been hotel living since Sept 2017 and vlogging my journey since June 2018. Everyday to hold myself accountable on social media I post 3 times a day on each platform. I share all my knowledge and I'm extremely authentic.
Currently in my SAP career I'm now adjusting to the work from home working environment. Now to go from living in hotels weekly to purely working from hard the mental strained have been tough. There's no training on how to survive this type of working environment. So I've created my own.
I will be producing a weekly vlog sharing my knowledge with yourselves.
Please if you want any specific content hit me up at:
Drop a comment below! I appreciate you taking time to watch my video and I want to give you the best value possible.

I truly believe you should never be a victim of the circumstances YOU chose! I have no fitness background, but I've managed. A couple of years on I'm currently training for SAS: Who Dares Wins. My mantra is always to lead by example.

    Hello, thank you for all the information you’ve share in these videos, I’ve been binging on them as I want to move into SAP consultancy. Is there any advise you can give regarding making a career change? I’m a procurement specialist and do work on SAP daily. The only option I have right now is to self study through the learning hub but what do I do after my first certification?

    • @myhitlife

      @@mashudugereda5480 I would just start applying for SAP careers now and be willing to take a lower pay. Depending what module you want to go in though I would recommend self study through the learning hub. A certification isn’t necessary, but it is helpful. Just show that you understand the backend of SAP (configuring the system) and not just the front end (aka customer facing / what end users use on a daily basis to complete their job).

      @@dreadynerdy6382 I left the SAP industry as honestly money doesn’t really make me happy, but also my face kind of didn’t fit. My entrepreneurship spirits just didn’t fully align. I was on a journey of personal development and I wanted to do something I loved. In the pandemic travel was no longer and I was on a client which could’ve been 5 years long! For me I like change, I like to learn constantly. As that’s not really the typical sap path. You should stay in one module. I still didn’t find my module. And in progress reviews I’d butt heads because of this. And I was around a lot of people who were on even better money & just not happy. So it made me think. I did adore my career in the SAP industry and all the opportunities it gave me, but it was time for me to move on. I feel Web3 is more my pace tbh. I didn’t realise SAP does have an innovative unit. However, even then I met someone who worked there with SAP and left in Web3. Sometimes you just want to sprint, but in consultancies companies you can’t always do that. This isn’t everyone’s experience mind, but for mine I found I was always in this position. And I felt that I was a butterfly who had to stop walking and fly. However, it made me realise I adore making people happy. I’m looking to one day work at VeeFriends in Customer Success which is just everything I’m about. With the culture & constant learning plus speed of environment. Doing side hustles or thinking differently it purely welcomed. So that’s my essay. I hope it helps!

      Are you going to switch within the company you are in or elsewhere? I left SAP in 2021 so my knowledge will be out of date now. Look at SAP hub for certifications in SD. It should show you the latest release of SD. Then decide if you want to do cloud or on premise certification. I feel on premise is more comprehensive though. Checkout my video of a day in the life of a functional consultant. The day in the life would be different to a live service support consultant. Therefore, requirements are different Think intentionally of what area of SAP you’d want to go into. Aka do you want to continue the current module? I would start applying for roles now & consider taking a lower pay if sap functional consultant. Live service you maybe okay. Good news tho there is sap recruitment consultants themselves you could find on LinkedIn to help guide you as well. Its never to late to start any new career at any age. If you are an accountant it's a good transfer across. Get into the system. The system helps it make a lot more sense. Try to break up each business process in an excel spreadsheet and then write notes. As when you implement projects anyways the workshops are usually structured in business processes.

      This was 3 years ago so when I was 28 and my salary was £55k plus a £5.5k yearly bonus. Please know that salaries vary per consultant and it is down to the consultant to push for the correct pay. To even go across other jobs. I started my career out in Wales, moved to England to get a higher salary and then moved back to Wales. My starting salary as a temp with something like £16k after 3 months £24k at 22. Then my first proper SAP jobs £33k. Then I climbed from there. I would say if I stayed in the same area (which I didn't) and started on a graduate scheme (which I didn't). If you were really ambitious and pushed for it you could probably hit £100k by 30

      Hey! Thanks so much for commenting. Well in the following Dec had a bacterial infection in my stomach. Spent a good few months in bed. Really wiped me out. Then recently lost the feeling in the right side of my body LOL. Been some character building years for sure, but I found Web3 and went all in there. Still trading, but I feel my years in my 30's have been character building. However, one day on my death bed tears of joy will stream down my face for going after it. There's always a chance to go back to a normal life. Taking time off social media I finally found a bf after 5 years. We've been dating since May 2022

      @@myhitlife Hey! Thank you for replying. I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced with the bacterial infection and the loss of feeling in the right side of your body. It sounds like you've been through some tough times, but it's inspiring to see your resilience and positive outlook. It's great to hear that you've found solace and new opportunities in Web3. It's always refreshing to discover new interests and passions, especially during challenging periods. Trading can be an exciting and dynamic field, and I hope it continues to bring you fulfillment and success. Your perspective on your 30s being character-building years is quite profound. Life has a way of shaping us through various experiences, both challenging and rewarding. It's admirable that you have such determination and drive to pursue your goals and dreams, even in the face of adversity. Taking time off social media and focusing on personal growth can often lead to unexpected positive outcomes. Congratulations on finding a boyfriend after a 5-year period! It's heartwarming to hear that you've found happiness in your personal life. May your relationship continue to thrive and bring you joy. Remember, life is a journey with ups and downs, and it's our resilience and determination that define us. Cherish each moment, and I hope that as you reflect back on your life, tears of joy will indeed stream down your face for the risks you've taken and the life you've lived. Wishing you continued strength, happiness, and success in all your endeavors.

      @@oo-zv3vp sorry only just seeing this, but I truly can't thank you enough for taking time out of your day to share these words with me. It's definitely been very tough and I feel hitting such "failure" in your 30s is hard. The expectations. The thinking, "Was I wrong about myself, my ability?". A couple of months back I lost the feeling in the right side of my body. Doctors in the UK thought MS, but I went to Italy and found out it was a panic attack. I feel like I'm finally turning a positive point and just learning to help me out. Being in grit / grind mode for so many years its truly hard to have self love when you're ill as you lack the body / mind connection. And you think, "You're lazy", but obviously that's not the case. I promise you like every movie the story will end well and I will no doubt share it. I hope life brings you all the amazing things you deserve and you have the best day! And that you show this amount of care / encouragement / empathy towards yourself. Thank you again!

    • @myhitlife
      @myhitlife Рік тому

      You could go either way apply for a SAP apprenticeship program or if you want to go to uni then apply for a graduate job. Personally for career progression & money the sap graduate job is the best route. This was something I did. But the apprenticeship program will pay for you to go to uni. Pay increases will be at a lot lower level, but to avoid any debt this is a great way to go. Then after the scheme if you aren’t paid appropriately you can always leave for another job. What I did? I joined sap and was on experienced only (not sap graduate). I got paid well, but it was difficult to progress up. If I had my time again I would’ve waited for a sap graduate program. But I still did exceptionally well due to my ability to move companies, know the market rate for me & be bold. Wasn’t an easy path. So there’s a lot to think about here. You have 3 different paths and it all depends what you want to go down in life. Either way you can get experience & leave for another company if you aren’t paid right. You can Google the going rate for yourself. To make up for no degree you can do sap certifications with the company.

      Hey! Regarding accounts manager do you mean like an accountant? Which sector would you describe yourself in and I’ll help direct from there? What you can do is a course on SAP learning hub in the sector you’re in. Or potentially you could join an SAP company, but more at the low level entry level with your industry knowledge element. Potentially here doing an sap certification would benefit you to show willingness as well

And thank you for replying back to me

    • @myhitlife
      @myhitlife Рік тому

       @Anjali Bokhiriya you would need to narrow down your role and link it to a module in SAP. As SAP is an ERP system so each process within the business there is a module for. SAP qualification (SAP Learning Hub - SAP Certification within the specific module) would only benefit you if you moved into SAP. You couldn't do it and get a career promotion. Sometimes people within the business learn SAP, because an SAP system is implemented within their company. Usually SAP Functional Consultants are paid hire. So you could check out the wages and decide from there. But also, make sure you enjoy it my vlog on a Day in the Life of an SAP Funcitonal Consultant is a good overview. As you have no experience within SAP you would have to join a SAP Consultancy on a lower wage and then could move up there. Would differ between each consultancy company. Apologies about the delay, but I hope my response helped you

With certifications its then good to keep up to date and do on the latest S/4 HANA versions. When you get a graduate job your company could then sponsor you to do these certifications.
