I have this I know im doing something wrong. I know this is a great hair tool brand. I wish my hair would come out this straight and sleek. My hair has changed drastically in past 6 years. It use to be pretty straight with just using a blow dryer. Now its wavy and tangly and frizzy. She says it works better if you let it air dry,but not everyone can so this. My hairstylist tells me to not let it air dry too much then it starts to wave up quick.
I've heard from many people that the Revlon version doesn't smooth the hair the way the Amika one does. I've never used it so I can't personally compare, I only know what I've heard. They look similar for sure.
Just bought one! I was wavering between the revlon and Amika , i went with Amika after seeing this! Plus on Sephora they are having a good deal right now! I’m super excited!

Fellow vegan here. Just bought this brush, the bristles are definitely not boar. They are synthetic. The price point can let you know too.....boar bristles are expensive as heck/this would cost more and "boar bristles" would definitely be all over the marketing.
I try to remember the remove any excess hair each time I use it. It’s not much more difficult than cleaning a regular hair brush IMO! As for like, deep cleaning it, I don’t really know how to do that haha
Have you found that this has been damaging your hair at all? I have the Revlon one and it has destroyed my hair!! I only use it about once every other week and over time it has just killed my hair.
No! I always use a very generous amount of a high quality heat protectant (sometimes more than one), and NEVER EVER use it on WET hair, only damp. Wet hair is super vulnerable, so allowing it to air dry for as long as possible before finishing off the process with this can help with staving off damage!
I have fine but thick wavy hair that needs a lot of tension to straighten with a dryer. Does this work well to straighten? Can you get the hair pulled right enough to straighten out the wave?

The brush helps to create that tension, I think. My hair looks super frizzy when I blow dry it because I am terrible at handling a brush and a dryer at the same time to smooth things out, but this takes away that element and just makes it all in one. Def make sure you let your hair air dry a while before you use it, though.

Hair is at its most fragile when it’s wet, so the wetter it is when you apply heat, the more likely it is to damage it.
Looks just like the revlon one but the revlon one is much cheaper (and works amazingly)

What are the short bristles made from? Are they vegan friendly or are they boar bristles?
I can't find the box and for somme reason it's not listed online, but I'm like 99.9999999999% sure they're synthetic- nylon!

I listed them in the description with more specifics! I used all Amika. I used Thicc, Brooklyn Bombshell, Blockade , and Supernova Blonde! :)
