      Tony J yes, it’s seasoned driftwood I found on the beach and has dried in my backyard for a while also.

    hi, how about the speed (rpm)?

    • @NorCalSucculentShop
      @NorCalSucculentShop  3 роки тому

      I think when I made this video I didn’t have a foot petal yet. So I would have the speed set at about 3/4 of top speed. Now that I have a foot petal I Throttle up and down as needed but mostly top speed

    What type of rotary carving pen are you using sir?

    Being honest, it looks good from the nose tip down. Not all wood spirits need to have an open mouth. ;) Especially if they are not going to be bird houses. Sanding too much. Like any hobby, stuff will come out better with time and practice/patience. Take your time. Keep at it!

      D Kuzzin thanks. This was like my 4th or 5th time carving a wood spirit. I’ve been taking in everyone’s comments and hopefully my next carving will be better. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Nice job, the more you practise the easier they will get and the more detail you will want to add to them, good to make mistakes and learn from them. I haven’t done a carving yet that I didn’t have to fix something, keep at it 👌

      Thanks for watching. I get to do a little carving tomorrow. Maybe I’ll record also and make another quick video.
