Lisa, I hope you get millions of followers! I absolutely love your videos, and I love the length of them. Please don’t shorten them because it’s wonderful to glaze alongside you. You are very inspiring, and funny, and heartwarming. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with all of us.
@user-ej9wc2fe2d That's interesting about the yellow. What a bummer to spend all that money on these underglazes, and then have issues with them. It's frustrating. And thank you about Archie. We miss him, and our other two doggies we lost last year. ❤️
Hi Lisa. I love your videos!!!!! I find myself answering your questions and talking with you!!!😂😂😂 Please don’t shorten the videos. I’m working in my studio and you are keeping me company. So sorry for the loss of Archie. I know how hard it is to lose a furry baby. 😢🙏🙏🙏 My vote is no outline on the fishies. Hugs!
Hi. I love your videos and wouldn't dream of not watching the whole lot. Can I say, though, how sorry I am that you've lost Archie. 😢 I remember seeing him in earlier videos. I've made your red bird. Not as good as yours, though, but that's okay. I like that crackle. I like these plates. Like you, I don't like making too many of the same things. I'm only a hobby potter. My cupboards are full of it 😅
@carolynpollack1083 Thank you so much! ❤️ Glad you are enjoying making some of the items. I taught one of my classes at the rec center how to make the redbirds, and it was really neat to see how they all made them slightly different. I thought they all looked great. Some were wonky and fun. 😀 Thanks for watching!
So sorry about Archie 😢 I’ve got your video on as I’m glazing and I have just glazed my wizard from your previous video and he fell in the glaze bucket splashing glaze everywhere 🤣💚
@melrussell7830 Thank you about Archie! It was a rough day for us. 😞 Oh no, about your wizard. I'm wondering if he heard me talking and perhaps jumped in the glaze bucket to hide!!! 😀😃🙂🙃 Poor little guy. Hope he knows how to swim. ❤️
I’m so sorry to hear about your sweet boy Archie passing. 🫶🏼🙏🏼 Nothing helps does it? Painting your beautiful ponds with the adorable fish and that gorgeous crackle glaze brings joy to you and us all at the same time. Thank you for sharing! I always love your videos. And our “conversations!” Love your school bus idea 💜 Big hugs!
@walkerpottery9296-Natalie Thank you so much, Natalie. No, nothing really helps, except to distract myself. So happy you like the video!!! Can't wait to fire them and see the outcome. ❤️. Hope your day is wonderful.
I like your idea of mosiacs, but I want to make my own pieces rather than breaking plates. That way, I control the colors and shapes. Love your videos and all the tips you give. I'm just getting back into pottery after way too many years.
@lyndacouyette5669 Thanks so much! I was also thinking of making som2nof my own pieces to break, so that I could make sure all the mosaic pieces were nice and flat. 😀 Cost-wise, I thought buying them at a thrift store might save money. So we'll see. It's harder to find good stuff at the thrift stores because there's so many DIY-ers now. 😀
Love your videos. Can you share what underglazes you use? You get great color with yours. I haven’t work much with them but mine (stroke and coat) seem to burn out. I fire at a community kiln so that may be it.
@rubyjean5117 I always use Amaco Velvet Underglazes, except for the Turquoise I use. And that's only because my supplier was out of the Velvets Turquoise. Stroke and Coats are wonderful glazes. Just be sure you're getting good coverage. They need at least three coats, especially if your studio is firing to a Cone 5 or higher. Underglazes don't really like the higher temperatures, and can burn out. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you so much! I have the SW 004 zinc free, so I’ll plow ahead! I appreciate your quick reply and hope you’ll not be long in allowing your fans to join you in another underglaze fest 😁
So sorry about Archie. I make soap as well and have tried lotions and everything except soap that has water in it needs a preservative in it as you can get mold and bacterias, this is the one I used no reason you can use it in underglaze I would think Germall Plus Preservative you don't need very much Love the plate
@corryg6403 Thanks for the information. Maybe I'll try some in a test batch. I added a little bleach already, so I'll see if that works. I saw a video recently how a woman bought white clay that was black inside. Can't remember what she did to kill the bacteria. Thanks for watching. ❤️

@suzannea8180 Awww, thank you so much!!! ❤️ So happy you enjoy my crazy videos. 😀😃🙂🙃
I’ve had trouble with yellow underglaze peeling off black clay. Eclipse from Seattle Pottery Supply. Oh no, sorry to hear about Archie. -Liana

Lisa, I’m soooo sorry to hear about the loss of your family dog. So hard to take those losses. God Bless! Gretchen
@@terrenceshannon6229 Thanks so much, Gretchen. ❤️ It's been a hard adjustment. 😞 The kitty cats are helping.

Lisa, I was wondering if you are using the Amaco HF-9 clear glaze or the Mayco SW 004? Can you also mention why you prefer the one you do use?
@@suzannea8180 I use both. As long as they are zinc-free, they are all fine.

I wonder if anyone has ever gotten sick from using crackle glaze? I've never heard of anything like that happening.
No, I haven't either. I don't think it's anything really to worry about. But that's just me. 🤔
