@detanator33 that advice sounds priceless thanks for helping us. what do you mean "do a couple books with structural and architectural paper engineering small books"? maybe it was two different things but it sounded like one..
@myndwork hey i think he just wanted to depict the place with something that originated there, like for india ppl always use indian classical, for Britain, symphonies and mexico spain , classical guitar.. but everyone has different perspective. :)
@iKevinThisIs you should probably look for tips in books about architects, architecture and how to be an architecture. I think we should ask Doug for some good books?
@detanator33 thats a good advice. ryt now i think he shud try to get into some good college and study B.arch. but as detanator33 you can work for some firm and get feel of the field.
@iKevinThisIs Dude if u want honest tips volunteer 2 work at an architecture firm/office in your local area get a feel of what it is and ask employees there for tips, advice, etc. and if u really really want 2 be an architect study or read books about it and do well in Maths, Art, Physics and do a couple of books with structural and architectural paper engineering small books (not necessary but will impress interviewers) nothing 2 big the early u learn the better u will be in the future :D
Her designs are unique, so "avant-garde", and I think they are very difficult to imagine/ draw/ create. But I don't know why I can't see any beauty in it! I feel that her buildings don't have any soul, and no personality. Gehry's work has almost the same characteristics, but I think that it is beautiful and it has a soul! Hey my name is Kevin And I'm 14 years old, I would Appreciate if Any architects would give me tips or any thing that can help me Become one when i grow up...Doug is great but i would be better of with more help!! :) Btw Very nice video
@rohit1202 of course, thats a reasonable explenation. but, she is of iraqi origin, her work doesnt really relate to her origin. i might be wrong, but i doubt it. good day to you sir.
yet another great video with a tasteless soundtrack. just because zaha hadid comes from iraq, you do not necessarily have to put an oriental song on the video about her. you lost me. goodbye.
Ive been to her Maggies Cancer care centre in Kirkcaldy (the big black angluar building which is in this video). I can honestly say it is one of the most atrocious pieces of design Ive ever experienced and is completely irresponsible.
I agree this is a great series. Doug is now one om heroes. Keep up the fantastic work. All the Best,
Greg
Thanks Doug! That was great!!
Woohoo Cincinnati!!!!! The CAC is on the map!!! Wish you showed a clip of the interior staircase...cantilever heaven.
Super. She is an artist architect and one of the 3 best in the world. She plays with the structures. She is a perfectionist.

@rohit1202 finally, someone not guided by emotions stirred by the ideologies they follow. cheers
@myndwork true that her work is independent of any place on earth, her work is definition of her self and not any place.
Does anyone knows the name of this background song ?

@myndwork wow wanna calm down, what is the big deal? he just thought it was a good idea.
Didn't her fire station never got used because it was un-practical? The client buid an other some time after, making zaha's useless.
Her buildings don't work as architecture, it's all for show
Which buildings would that be?
Never liked the few of her designs that actually were built. Still do not. Probably will not in the future.
