Storyboard developed from the STP 21-1 Soldier's Manual of Common Tasks Warrior Skills Level 1, September 2017
Approved by the Center for Initial Military Training (CIMT) G-3/5/7, Initial Entry Training, Fort Eustis Virginia.
We need these videos for all Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, Soldier's manual of Common Tasks, and Tactical Convoy Operations. They are huge combat training enablers, please upload more!
Don't they already released the majority of F.M.(Field Manual)?
Very thorough and easy to understand. An 8 point grid coordinate would have made this video perfect. Thanks !!
thanks for making it easy to understand
:D these vids are SO GOD DAMN GOOD !! Cheers!
I like the close ending footage. :P Great instructions thanks for posting!
“Attention to the designated grid square!”
“Attention to the map!”
Marine Veteran. Refreshing my skills for the Ukraine. Waiting for my acceptance in the International Legion. This was superb.
did you do it?
Praise God !!! Thanks for sharing
Great class!!
i stopped watching at 0:42. if i knew my place on the map then its really easy from there on. the question is how can i determine my position on the map
You look for landmarks, rivers hills etc.
Also check the time and what direction the sun is facing.
Getting even with grud knowledge is still a peculiar situation.
If you know what city or village you’re close to, determine what direction you are from that point and use associated landmarks to determine your position.
Yes also look for mountains and depressions around you and find it on the map then set an asmat on what degrees its on then on your compass to determine your location then you can set your protractor to see the degree on that.
It's amazing. I'm here to get a recap on what I learned before a long time ago. The teaching I got in a truck on the fly was a trillion times more sensible amd clear than this convoluted video. Awful job, I'll be looking for other videos still.
On protractor, I got numbers go from left to right and from up to down. I'm not sure, how to use it correctly
The map has local origins for each square kilometer in the grid. Do modern artillery maps also have global designations, GPS coordinates for these local launch points?
I thought East West was first?
Ah, so this is how I call in a drone strike in COD: Warzone
holy shit the way you guys did this is so much more confusing
May you tell me where is the starting point ( coordinates 00) of MGRS grid line on the map?
How can I learn how to make map like this ? I don't know how to do computer stuff don't even have phone lol tablet and kids set it up for me lol

Where do you get a military map?
I tried in the drugstore 😂😂😂
requsting artillery fire on designated grid square
i now know what are the numbers when the communication boy is calling the base for reenforcement or some shit in the movies. yay thanks
what if the exact coordinates is smaller than the smallest square ?
then you could be lost /
There is always a smaller square. Also, you would use another digit after the initial coordinates so you would go 115(3)833(8). The numbers in brackets narrow it down further.
@@dtimer319 i see. thanks very much
What do the "GL" and "FL" stand for?
I think it's Golf Lima and Fox Lima?
Grid zone identifier
thanks
Nice I can call in a airstrike now 🤣 not even in military yet but now I know .
seems like a very confusing way to map coordinates. especially while under fire. is there a reason for this ? to confuse the enemy ?
Why do American's pronounce protractor 'pro-tractor' when the word is protract, with or on the end? So English speakers the world over would say protract-uh, but they say PRO-tractor. Like it's a professional tractor driver convention. It's so freakin' weird. I never know what they mean at first.
So why is longitude and latitude flipped? The international standard ISO 6709 quotes, "Latitude comes before longitude." That's how we were taught in the military.
It's the standard that designates what is positive, negative, north, south, east, and west. Without it, it can be confused, and drop bombs on the wrong house during a war.
Compare that to when entering Cartesian coordinates, where you enter the x-coordinate first then the y-coordinate. When you draw a vertical line, you are cutting an x-axis that indicates your x-coordinate. Then you draw a Horizontal line that intersects your y-axis which indicates your y-coordinate.

Over her people talking about how they need it for the military. Meanwhile, I’m here for my geography test. 😂
