The FUN page is exactly why I love Rene so much. I generally don’t care for sequencers and it’s the only one I’ve ever got along with and this video shows all the reasons why. I love that you can completely forget clocks or use strange triggers just to embellish things. This video wasn’t just educational, it was also very musical. You’re truly the best 🖤
Wow, thanks for all your support. Rene is definitely my favorite eurorack sequencer. Some are more powerful (like Eloquencer and Five12 Vector), but nothing comes near when you want to improvise.
This video is a prime example of what happens when you put this technology in the hands of some who understands the hardware and has the musical vision to bring it to life. Genius in other words. Frickin awesome video. I just got my Rene after waiting months due presumably to the chip shortage. I have to say it’s a little intimidating. This video is sooo inspiring and gives me the confidence to mush on. A HUGE thank you!!
Far and away my favorite videos on UA-cam, and not just for Make Noise modules. I'd give anything if you did one on the QPAS and X-Pan. No one does it better. Thank you for the quality and insight!
Thanks for these great compliments. QPAS will be star of the video in episode 20, along with the Shared, STO and Mimeophon - 'an imaginary shared system 2.0'.
Hello very nice video!! I am thinking of that: is it possible using Rene2 as 4x4 différents arpegiators and programming each "4 step" to repeat 4 times? (and extend to 64 step )
Really? Very cool to help you to make that decision. Rene is special, even with competitors like Metropolix, Ground Control and Westlicht. I got my second Rene MK2 a few weeks ago :).
This series is getting mythical.

It‘s so great what you‘re create with this system!🖖☺️
I’ve really been neglecting my Rene V2....this video definitely got me inspired to give it a go tonight!!
I hope you'll have a lot of FUN!
Damn I LOVE your Soundscapes ! So creative ~💡
Wow, thanks a lot! I love the PC, but the modular is way more personal.

love playing the rene like this! so much fun :-)
Yes, I absolutely love Rene V2. Still my #1 sequencer for every day duties.
4:45 Playing the pads as a keyboard like an MPC is also possible with René V2.
I do it by using latch mode without any clock imput.
Thanks for the tip, I've been trying to find a work around but didn't think of removing x-clk. If it works I'll cover it in chapter 20 of the series.
How do i reset Rene v2 to factory default?
I wish I could be of more help, but I don't think Rene has a factory reset.
can you put rests on Rene 2 ?
Yes you can. You can program individual gate patterns for all three channels. So you could sequence a drum patch too if you wish.

I have to think about that. I don't think so... That's super complex. 1010Music Toolbox can do it.
JFYI: do you that I've also bought René because of your videos? :)
